REVIEWS: “Part delicious dream, part nightmare, That Risen Snow is an aberrant fairytale that is just as much a horror story. Boley has a knack for dark comedy and witty prose, and he blends it with a nearly-hardboiled voice uncharacteristic of (and therefore pleasantly unique in) dark fantasy fiction. It’s a story you’ll want to tear ass through but will equally want to slow down for, so you can savor the prose.” —Brady Allen, author of Back Roads & Frontal Lobes “In 1912, the Brothers Grimm published an old German fairy tale they titled Snow White. Little did they know that a guy named Rob Boley would come along a hundred years later to reveal the ‘true’ and adult story of Ms. White, or ‘Snow’ as she was known in real life… No one could have possibly foreseen what would become of Snow in the hands of a diabolical, maniacal imagination like Boley’s… Such a nice boy… with such a fevered mind. Read this with the lights on and a baseball bat or shotgun handy… you’re gonna be glad you did. This is a Snow White you ain’t gonna find in the middle school library… Get it, read it, and try to keep the screaming down.” —Les Edgerton, author of Hooked, Just Like That, and The Bitch “That Risen Snow and That Wicked Apple make a deliciously diabolical tale—part Walking Dead, part turned-on-its-ear fairy tale. Rob Boley strikes the perfect balance of depth, drama, and dark humor to keep readers devouring the pages and leave them hungering for more.” —Linda Gerber, author of the Death by Bikini Mysteries

Warning! Like the first book in the series... this one doesn't end. From the reviews of the next two, neither do the next two books. This book read better than the first one. The writing was smoother and I was less distracted with the odd descriptions and similes. maybe there were less of them, maybe I was simply desensitized. With the story flowing as well as it did, I was hoping for a thrilling climax since the next book was supposed to be about Red Riding Hood. No thrilling climax. Another cli Warning! Holy crap. This series as a whole is amazing. I got the first book free and read it back at Christmas time. It was amazing. I finally have started to buy the set on google books and I love it. It will be a series I read over and over again and there are not many books I can say that about. Its a good read if you like fairy tales, zombies and violence and gore. Its like Game of Thrones only much less sexual content and more zombie killing. Plus it stars my second favorite princess Snow White. Wha Holy crap. This series as a whole is amazing. I can't wait to read the rest of them.

Was waiting to read this because I didn't want to get burnt out on the story but now I can say I wish I hadn't waited. My god what a great story! This book fills in a lot of holes that left you asking questions. Very fast paced little bit of gore some humor, and action. It has it all. Can't wait to read the third one!!!! I absolutely loved this book! I was so excited to read the second book in the this series that Rob E. Boley is working on. It was even better than expected. I love fairy tales and how the author puts a dark twist on them. I couldn't put the book down! I would definitely recommend this book. The writing is so fluid and brilliant. Love it! A fast paced and quick read. A continuation of the series. Book is most assuredly veering into shades of grey with certain characters. More characters are lost to the zombies and there is a twist. Gotta read it to find out what I'm talking about. A fast paced and quick read. A continuation of the series. Part 2 to That Risen Snow was just as enjoyable as the first. If you love fairy tales, but crave a little twist, this is the series to read! Loved it!

I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't stop reading it, but I didn't want to finish so quick either. I will definitely be buying the next one. Gruesome and dark with a fun fairy tale twist. I'm really disappointed that there is yet another cliff hanger. I understand making money but a 192 page story with no ending shouldn't cost more than 99 cents. After the first book I wondered if the second one could be as good. Now that I'm used to the little things that bugged me in the first one I actually enjoyed this one more.
