The Skypeia arc is finally over! It was enjoyable at some parts, but compared to the masterpiece that was the Alabasta arc, I personally didn’t enjoy this one as much. It dragged on a bit too long for me and I found myself struggling to get through it sometimes. The Foxy Pirates storyline is pretty fun, though. Can’t wait to see the conclusion there!

Marathon buddy read with the siblings. The conclusion of Skypeia and then the Foxy pirates. I liked the end of the fight and the story behind the bell. I pretty much skimmed foxy.

I really liked the flashback story with Noland, my favorite part of the Skypiea arc. The conclusion of the Skypiea storyline itself, however, was just OK. The Davy Back Fight is a fun concept, although the story winds up feeling a lot like filler. And then there's Afro Luffy... I'll leave it to others to determine whether it's silly or offensive, but there's no question that it's awkward. All in all, this omnibus is a mixed bag. I loved the ending to the Skypiea arc. The backstory was very heartfelt and really added the emotional push the story needed. At the end of the day it was an incredible adventure. Unfortunately, the new “filler” like story at the end really didn’t do much for me. Although the competition game aspect was intriguing, the whole thing just feels unnecessary. Hope it will be over soon!

Great ending to the Skypiea saga. Once again, I strongly feel that this is better than in the anime. Things have more impact, and you get there quicker, which is just perfect. 3/5 stars because of the Foxy pirates arc which arguably the worst in the entire manga/anime, and no doubt the worst up to this point. Still, you can't always hit, sometimes you gotta miss. Great ending to the Skypiea saga. Once again, I strongly feel that this is better than in the anime. The ending of Skypeia was fun, but man, the pirate games feel like such filler :c

End of Skypiea was so good! The Long Ring Long Land Arc is mostly done by the end of this omnibus. That arc is meh, but not terrible. Kind of feels like a weird filler arc.

Volume 31: This volume starts with Chapter 286: "The God-Slayer" In this volume we find out more about the history of Skypeia, and the city of gold. How it came to be there. Also there's something fishy going on with the Admiral's hair style. Karugara also makes his entrance to the series. A little lull in the story by this point, but it does pick up the further you read. Cheers! Volume 32: This volume starts off with Chapter 296: The Last Stand. Zoro takes some drastic measures by chopping down the beanstalk. The self-named god Enel is launching his final attack that traps Luffy inside. Don't miss this exciting volume. Cheers and Happy Reading! Volume 33: This volume starts off with Chapter 306: Doughnut Race. In the One Piece universe you have your lull's in the storyline. Well that's what I like so much about manga and anime. It shows that there are different types of environments that many sailors get to see. We left off in the last volume of Luffy and the crew landing on an island with everything has grown to an abnormal height. Picking up in this volume, we meet the Foxy Pirates. Captain Foxy has challenged Luffy to a Davy Back Fight. Luffy the idiot he is has accepted. Read to find out more.

The conclusion to Skypeia is kind of a letdown, with a lot of emotional heft placed on stuff from six volumes ago that I had largely forgotten. Considering the amount of build-up each story has, the series really has to stick the landing to make the journey feel worth it, and this just didn't deliver. The last book, however, is pure, distilled One Piece, as the crew has to battle overwhelming odds in the name of friendship and camaraderie. It's great.
