This anthology is a lot of firsts for me: it's the first anthology I'm reading, with the exception of Joey W. Hill, the first time I'm reading anything by these authors, and Joey's novella is my first adult vampire story. Now that I've read all the ten tales, I can say that some I liked a little more, some less, and one I absolutely loved. My reading preferences are such that not every story worked for me, which makes me believe that anyone could find something they like amongst these stories. There's a bit for everybody. I admit, it was this tale that made me click on this book in the first place. I'm a huge fan of all the author's books I've read so far, and even though I haven't read anything from her Vampire Queen series, I couldn't resist. Starting a series from the tenth book -- that's not at all weird. At the beginning it did say that I would probably enjoy the story more if I had read the previous books and was familiar with the VQ world, but quite frankly I'm not sure that's possible, because I loved it! It gave enough information about the vampire world, and about the vampire-servant dynamic that exists in that world, so I didn't feel lost in those parts at all, even about some characters from the previous books there was enough not to consider them strangers when they appeared in this one. I did skip a big part of the series to get here, but it didn't feel like that. It did make me eager to go back to book one and read the whole series, but that's a good thing. The Scientific Method was an emotional read for me. Without any exaggeration: Debra & Brian's story made me sob. At the beginning, Debra was in such a fragile emotional state, I just wanted to hug her, and beat Brian up for causing it. I still do, actually. For a genius scientist, he was such a blind idiot. Anyway, as I was saying, Debra was in a bad place. She knew what her place as a servant was, but she knew her relationship with Brian could be so much more, the idea of which he shot down, leaving a void inside her. As a human who entered the vampire world as a third mark servant, Debra had to leave her whole life and people from it behind, including her family. When she learned that a dear family member was dying, it made everything even worse. The worst of it was that Brian, her Master, who had the ability to enter her mind and see what she was thinking and feeling, almost never did that, so he was completely oblivious to all this. The bastard. However, he started to open his eyes, and change his ways. He finally started to behave the way he should have from the very beginning. As always, there were some scorching hot scenes, not heavy on SM, but the Master/slave relationship between Brian and Debra is pretty serious. This may not be the most enjoyable read for those who like to read about really light BDSM. I'm not one of them, so for me, this was another winner from Ms. Hill. In the end, I was very happy for Debra, but I'd still like to give Brian a piece of my mind. Tales 2 & 3, Three Secrets and His Secret , weren't as good for me as the first one. The Scientific Method was quite long, and I love the author's books, so that's no surprise. Three Secrets and His Secret weren't nearly as long, so connecting with the characters was a harder task. Debra & Brian got a lot of pages, so I was able to completely immerse myself in their story. With Nicole & Abel, and Sarah & Ben, not so much. Maybe if their stories weren't about a crucial part in their romances, it wouldn't have bothered me, but as it is, when I'm reading stories this short I prefer the relationship between characters to be light, new. If not, I'd like many more pages about it. That said, I did like His Secret. I didn't find his secret to be that dark, but I am used to heavier forms of BDSM. His thing was cute, in my opinion. I did like how the characters connected on that field, how they clicked. I wish there was more of Ben and his suits, but what can you do. While I didn't feel like I missed something important from Debra & Brian's history, I did feel like there was something missing in Three Secrets. This is book #3 in Three series, so maybe it would have been better if I had read the previous two. I don't know. It had a nice menage scene, but given who the participants were to each other, I honestly couldn't enjoy it. What I didn't like from both of these stories was that the characters keeping secrets regarding their sexual preferences were offering to try and suppress them if their partners weren't into it. I'm sorry, but I find this unacceptable. It not like quitting a habit, it's denying a part of who they are, so, no, I do not want to read about that. Tale #4 not only had an interesting title (Bondage on 34th Street), but it was an interesting read, even though it was only a beginning of a longer story. I'm glad the authors decided to write more about these characters, because judging from this, their story is far from over. It has an interesting premise: two men in a D/s relationship -- and let me just add here that I was so happy to find a little M/M action in this anthology :) -- one is a Dom, the other a switch in need of a sub. Then came along a woman from his past, one that discovered her submissive side. Well, you see where this is going, don't you? Well, unfortunately, it didn't get there in this story. I guess we'll get that in the future. I wish this tale was longer because I really would have liked some more M/M, and because I like Dom/switch/sub relationships. Oh, and this was the first time I've seen Facebook selfies mentioned in a book. I almost disliked the heroine for it, but I refrained. Tale #5, Remastered was where I started to get annoyed by the fact a lot of the stories in this anthology seem to be a part of a series, series I frankly wasn't planing on reading. I didn't mind it with the first two stories because they work fine as standalones, but with these I felt like I was missing something. I wish that no matter the length all the tales here were standalones. Remastered was only the first meeting of the main characters. I suppose there will be more published about them. This part was okay. A lot of insta-lust was there, which reminded me of Sinners on Tour series. Both are about rock bands, and the relationships were very hot and heavy from the beginning. In Remastered the characters only just met, and they went pretty far. I've lost interest in that type of reads, but those who haven't could be eager to read more about this couple. It certainly leaves you wondering about Spook's issues, and how they'll overcome them. I'm wondering, too, although I'm not sure I'll find out. When I realized Working Out would be one of the long stories in this anthology, I wasn't sure whether to be happy or sad about it. On the one hand, if it was good, it would have been great to read more pages, but on the other hand, if it wasn't -- well, many bad pages. Unfortunately, I ended up struggling through this novella, and wishing it was shorter. Once more, it was the type of kinky book I'd don't care for, and actually avoid reading; one of those I don't even consider kinky, and one of those I think would have worked better for me if it were vanilla -- hot vanilla, but still vanilla. This was diluted kink, which is not my favorite kind of kink, and even though I have found some books with it I enjoyed, this was not one of them. The writing style didn't work for me, which is why it took me a longer time to read it than it normally does. The characters didn't help the situation. I failed to connect with any of them. Quite frankly, I found their actions, and interactions immature. They way they behaved and talked was something I'd expect from horny teenagers, not people in their thirties, and definitely not from someone claiming to be a Dominant. If I made a drinking game out of Mac calling himself Master, I'd be hammered. Not to mention it was like he was referring to himself in third person. Oh, yeah. Who's your Master? Show, don't tell -- I wish their D/s relationship was more about showing. If it hadn't been for them always calling each other Master and sub, I probably would have forgotten they were playing that (and it felt like they were just playing), and that's why I believe I would have liked this novella a little more had they taken a vanilla path. The plot or what there was of it was pretty simple: two people attracted to each other, both hurt in the past, trying to have a casual relationship, but ending up wanting more. A lot of the complications happened because Mac and Maggie didn't talk openly with each other like mature adults they were supposed to be. They made me worry about what I'll be like in my thirties. Nope, this was definitely not a book for me. So, after Working Out hadn't worked for me, I ordered Juicy to be good, and as a good little story, Juicy behaved. I thought it was a cute addition to this anthology. Cute may be a weird adjective to use for this genre, but it was the main characters that made me use it. The heroine Solie was interesting, a little quirky, which was a plus. I liked how Solie and Burton were with each other; the friends-to-lovers storyline was really refreshing to me. I can't remember the last time I found it in a book. Also, Burton, the hot Dom friend, was the hero that saved Solie from her psycho ex-boyfriend, which is another plus. This could have been a four-star read for me. It just needed some polishing, in my opinion. I definitely liked both the idea for the plot and the characters. A little tweaking in the execution, and it would be perfect. What to say about the tale #8? No Limits really meant anything could happen. Of the first eight stories, it's definitely the dirtiest one, in my humble opinion. Honestly, the dirty parts really distracted me from the story itself. Yeah, those were definitely distracting. If you read it, you'll see. However, I do know I found the hero likeable, and not only for the hot British accent. I do love the accent, but it was his fulfilling of the heroine's fantasies that won me over. He appeared to be something like a service Top, but I could be wrong. The heroine -- not sure how I feel about her. She left me undecided. The writing style I did like. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to ponder the logistics from a certain scene some more. The number just seems a bit big... ;) Ink Reunited was about Sassy, a beloved character from another series by this author. From what I've gathered, her story was much expected. So, if you're one of those who have already met Sassy, I'm sure you'll like Ink Reunited. This was actually my first book by this author, so Sassy was an unknown, but I was looking forward to it because it was MMF. I was a little sad by the lack of kink, but, hey, MMF made up for it. Just when Sassy was feeling down because of her non-existent love life when everyone around her seemed to paired off, she got a visit from a past love interest. Two love interests. Yes, you can start being jealous of Sassy right away. I was dying to read a hot scene between the two men, but no such luck; Sassy was in all of them. Bummer. All in all, an okay story that would appeal to a wider audience. And the cherry on top, Unfettered, was one of the stories I enjoyed more. It was a lovely end to the anthology. The heroine from this story also had a man from her past appear, and he appeared as a very attractive Dom. For Veronica, a submissive in training, yearning for a trustworthy Dom, he was like a dream come true. And seeing her dreams realized was a nice read for me. I do think it needs some proofreading because I noticed some mistakes, but overall, the author did a good job. I liked the story, and the characters, oh, and the kink; all of it was just right. Final score: - The Scientific Method: ★★★★½ - Three Secrets: ★★ - His Secret: ★★★ - Bondage on 34th Street: ★★★ - Remastered: ★★½ - Working Out: ★★ - Juicy: ★★★ - No Limits: ★★★ - Ink Reunited: ★★★ - Unfettered: ★★★½ ***A copy of this book was provided to me through NetGalley.***

Dominant males who seduce a woman into submission is my kind of man. When the male possesses quiet authority, it's even more attractive. In this anthology, a submissively inclined reader is treated to one after another sensual male in panty wetting goodness. The book kicks off with Scientific Method by Joey W. Hill. This is my favourite story in the book. Debra is a perfect servant. She is smart and the best partner for Brian. She gave up a lucrative life to become Brian's possession. Unfortunate Dominant males who seduce a woman into submission is my kind of man. Unfortunately, the relations between a vampire and their servant should not be more than owner and pet. Anything more loving will give the vampire council cause to destroy the servant. This is the law for centuries. When Debra and Brian discover the missing element to create more born vampires, it rocks the vampire world. Yet nothing changes for Debra. Brian still treats her as a thing and the last time she expressed her devotion, he crushed her painfully both emotionally and physically. This story is so well written, my heart physically hurt for Debra. Her desolation is understandable. She is a candidate for death by heartbreak. Ms. Hill does a marvelous job in the creation of both Debra and Brian. Debra is the one who captures a reader's sympathies. The damage she suffers through willful neglect is inhumane. Suicide is a distinct possibility and I see her point of view and wouldn't begrudge her for ending her heartbreak. "She almost heard her heart crack. She would have done the unthinkable, scrambled away, run back to her room and close the door, but he tightened his arm around her. He wasn’t done with her. I’ll never be done with you. She might die from the pain of that. She was starting to understand all too well why some servants took their lives. (loc. 1332-1334)" This story is a beautiful in how it describes Debra's pain. Fortunately, the story ends in a beautiful happy ending. Five Stars for this book and this story alone makes this book worth buying. Three Secrets by Ms. Carew is okay. This story unfortunately swings the other way for me and I didn't enjoy it at all. One star for me. I nearly put the book down and didn't continue. His Secret by Ms. Da Costa does not bring any further encouragement to continue the book. It starts out well and fizzes out. Two star for me. Bondage on 34th Street by Ms. Ryan-Davis & Ms. Leeland is hawt! Oh my goodness is the ménage so good. The sex is delicious and the triad of Noah, Tasha and Ty makes me want to read more. This story leaves a reader yearning for more delicious mastery by Noah. There does seem to be a book for later this fall for more of Noah, Tasha and Ty's marvelous ménage. Four star short story for me. Fall won't come earlier enough. Remastered by Ms. Ellis is just okay for me. Ms. Ellis's writing never works for me. I've tried several times and this one with rock atars still doesn't do anything for me. What I do like is the warning Ms. Ellis places against those who steal. "Violators will be forced to re-enact that book with my neighbour’s dog, while wearing a corset made of living bees. Twice."(loc. 4970-4971) This is awesome and kind of saves the story for me which is why I rated a two star instead of one. Working Out by Ms. Harte is erotically hawt. The characters - Mac and Maggie are just okay. She's written better and more endearing characters. Maggie and Mac are a bit forgettable yet their sex is good. A reader can always depend upon Ms. Harte for good sex scenes and funny dialog. “The Mac I know has no problem serial dating. What was it you said to me not so long ago? To indulge in the holy trinity and forget my problems? Tits, ass and an orgasm. There you go, buddy. You have two more-than-willing candidates still making eyes at you.”(loc. 5653-5655) This is the first I've seen a holy trinity described in this manner. I like it! Three stars for this story. Juicy by T.J. Michaels is also not my style. Solie is a bit of an annoying twit. This story is best for those who enjoy friends to lovers. The BDSM is good. The characters are not to my taste. Solie is frustrating and not the kind of female I enjoy. This is a two star for me. No Limits by Ms. Pearce is out of this world smoking hawt. The club, the gang banging, all of it is amazing. Ms. Pearce is a new to me author who knows how to crank up the heat. Her descriptions are crystal clear for a reader to visualize. After reading this story, I immediately search for more stories in this world. It appears this is the only one. A reader can only hope Ms. Pearce will create more in this world and bring more fantasies to life. This is an author to watch. Four stars for this story. Ink Reunited by Ms. Ryan pens a sweet lovers reunited story. It's tightly written. It's a sweet romance between three best friends broken apart and then coming together a decade later. There is so much more which can be fleshed out in this story. Ms. Ryan does a nice job of hooking the reader, making them wanting more from her. For those who love the bad boys grown into alpha men, this story is for you. Sassy is a female worth fighting for and she's tough with a heart of gold. Three stars for this story. This anthology finishes off with Unfettered by Ms. White. Why haven't I read her before? Her BDSM scenes are good and she does something which I haven't seen in a while. She turns negotiation into foreplay. This is an excellent example. Her story is a three star for enjoyment. From a BDSM perspective it is four star material. Either she's in the lifestyle or she is amazing with research. For those who wonder about how to first start off with a play partner, here is a fabulous demonstration of how it can be erotic. “I don’t like to be spanked, so the bench is out,” Ronnie told him. “What about the Cross? I’ve never been on one, but have always wanted to try it.” “So spanking’s a hard limit?” Conner asked. “What else?” He [Ian] listened for another minute, then interrupted. “Not bad, guys,” he said, stepping forward to stand next to them. “You’re communicating clearly, which is good. But negotiating doesn’t have to feel like a job interview, or worse yet, like a shopping list of do’s and don’ts.” Conner grimaced and Ronnie chuckled. They looked at each other, neither offended or upset by the critique, and both open to what he [Ian] was saying. Perfect. He [Ian] let out a short whistle and everyone in the closed club turned to him. The shopping list was something lot of the newbies did, and every class needed a demonstration. Looked like he was going to do it for this class. “We gave you guys a list of things that should be covered in an initial talk, but that doesn’t mean you have to check them off like a to-do list,” he said to the group. “Negotiating can be as erotic as any sexual play when done right.” He turned to Ronnie. “May I take your hand and lead you to the stage?” She nodded, wide-eyed. “Don’t think of your negotiations as something that has to be done before you get to play, think of it as part of the play. Use all your senses to gain, and give information. Watch, and listen.” When they got to the stage he turned to face Ronnie and smiled, but didn’t let go of her hand. (loc. 12886-12898) Read the story to find out how to erotize negotiation! Ms. White states in story in a way that isn't a lecture and hit home for me. This captures how I feel about D/s. "Dominance isn’t something that can be faked, and I was tired of meeting men who considered it a game. Men who played at it. I want a real man, one who knows that true dominance is mental before it ever comes close to being physical. That my submission can not be demanded, it has to be earned, and when I give it, I give everything.” (loc. 13050-13052)" Overall, this anthology is great. There are some really good stories and others which didn't appeal for me. The ones which I really enjoyed is what made me decide to rate the book a four star. Recommended for kinky readers who want a taste of ten very different BDSM writers. *provided by NetGalley

This is a terrific anthology by some of the best authors in erotic romance I have ever read. When the question arises as to what to read after 50 Shades of Grey this would be a great next book. I’ve read and enjoyed several of the authors in this anthology and found some new ones. I liked that these are full stories not short blurbs or one chapter teases. My favorite stories from this anthology are The Scientific Method by Joey Hill, Juicy by T.J. Michaels, and Ink Reunited by Carrie Ann Ryan. I LOVE Joey Hill’s Vampire Queen series and though this story takes place in that world with characters we’ve met and wanted to know more about this story can be read stand-alone. Juicy by T.J. Michaels is the first in what looks to be an incredible new series. I really liked the characters in this story and I think any woman who has gone through a nasty breakup will be able to relate to this story. Ink Reunited by Carrie Ann Ryan stars the irrepressible Sassy from her Montgomery Ink series but again can be read stand-alone. Again, some truly fun characters. It is always fun to read something by Opal Carew, Marie Harte and Sasha White. They didn’t disappoint this time either. I’d not read anything by the team of Emily Ryan-Davis & Jennifer Leeland or by Portia Da Costa but you can bet I will be looking for their work now. Although I didn’t really dislike any of the stories from this anthology No Limits by Kate Pearce pushed my comfort zone as did Remastered by Madelynne Ellis. But that is the terrific thing about an anthology like this it helps you to find what you do and don’t like.

Joey W Hill - The Scientific Method. Vampire Servant series. Ok. Maybe because I haven’t read the other books in this series, but this wasn’t my favourite of Ms. Hill’s books. I felt there was far too much backstory and explanations of character’s behaviors. I did enjoy the romance overall, watching Debra and Brian realize they were in love was satisfying. Opal Carew - Three Secrets. Three book 3. I enjoyed this one more than others I’ve read by Ms. Carew. The premise is a bit out there - that hi Joey W Hill - The Scientific Method. I felt there was far too much backstory and explanations of character’s behaviors. I did enjoy the romance overall, watching Debra and Brian realize they were in love was satisfying. Opal Carew - Three Secrets. Three book 3. I enjoyed this one more than others I’ve read by Ms. Carew. The premise is a bit out there - that his big secret is he shares with his brothers, they have a big ol’ menage sometimes. Triplet brothers who swap and share their wives? Wow. This novella is a short story and I found myself intrigued enough that I might just pickup another one in this series. Portia Da Costa - His Secret, secret pleasures book 1. I enjoyed this story about a couple who realize that some bondage and discipline is just what they need to take their relationship to the next level. The hero is a sexy Dom. Emily Ryan Davis, Jennifer Leeland - Bondage on 34th Street. A very sexy m/f/m story. Just the right level of angst & sexy times. I wish their story had been longer. And I read in From the Authors that there is a full-length story about Tasha, Noah and Ty’s journey to a HEA, releasing late 2014. Sign me up! Madelynne Ellis - Remastered. Black Halo novelette 2.5?, Spook’s story. I enjoyed this story, which at first is a regular "young girl and older rock star getting it on” story, then becomes something richer. I want to know more about Spook and the rest of the band. Marie Harte - Working Out. I checked my reading log three time to make sure I hadn't already read this. Not a good sign, that. I read the first book on this series, Bodywork, it was just ok. This entry I also rate as ok. I enjoyed the dialogue between the hero and heroine at times, often it was hard to tell if the hero was being funny or just an asshole. The supporting character are cliches and there was too much time spent in the hero and heroine's heads. TJ Michaels - Juicy. Twilight Teahouse 1. The good: vivid main characters, sharp dialogue between main characters. The bad: some of the story takes place at (yet another) perfect BDSM club that provides everything and anything perfectly. Do these places really exist? Kate Pearce - No Limits. Really good. Supremely dirty. I wish there had been more. I really hope this is a series. Carrie Ann Ryan - Ink Reunited. I was happy to read Sassy's story, having read the Midnight Ink anthology when it came out. The story was ok. Sasha White - Unfettered. An Overwatch novella. Ok. Liked the heroine. There were way too many typos in this story. A decent line editor should have caught them. Kicked me out of the story each time. Bought from kindle.

HOLY HOTNESS! ~~~~ To ALL 10 stories! I even read Joey Hill's story, The Scientific Method even tho I'm really not a paranormal reader and I found it to be likeable and well written! Hill's or Carrie Ann Ryan's or Emily Ryan Davis's, among others), they all also stand well alone, except for maybe Sasha White's story which was excellent but it left you feeling like there was more to come (which I happen to know there is LOL). Every story was juicy, sexy, steamy, smutty, loveable, you name it, you'll find it. I'm really excited to read more from the authors that were introduced to me, especially TJ Michaels and Carrie Ann Ryan. This was hands down one of the best collaboration of author stories I have read in quite a while!

Each other has their own unique style of writing that gives you quite the taste. Having only read a couple of the authors before this one I found this to quite the treasure trove. When after you finish each story you will be craving for more because these are only the tip of the heat. Some will burn you, some will curl your toes and some will simply melt you. You will dip into each one and coming out with if new to reading of these authors wondering sure am glad to come out of the dark. The sensual expertise each author shows is proof in the pudding as they say. Being a dominate personality myself I would not mind being challenged by a couple of these gents myself. Needless to say this is one collection worth diving into eating up every page. received a arc for a honest review

This is only for the Joey Hill novella (or is it a novel? either way it's pretty long). At any rate, I really love Joey Hill's vampire series. Jane Litte turned me on to them and they are DARK DARK SUPER DARK BDSM romances. But they're also really freaking awesome and I encourage everyone to read them. I might have squealed a little and then immediately read it. It was great. Like, Joey Hill makes me appreciate F/F and MFM and MFMFMMM and every other combination despite there being a MF pairing. Also, uh, mom, don't read this one. Not your bag. I'm just saying. But for those of you that like Cherise Sinclair out there and are looking for something new with the same sort of 'dommy' vibe, I really really recommend the vampire series by Joey Hill.

This review is for Juicy, by TJ Michaels! I had the opportunity to read it this weekend before the release date, and as always she did not disappoint. I could not stop reading it, I truly love the way she makes characters come alive in her novels! Solie is a solid character, one I hope to read more of!

So, this book turned out to have a lot of stories that were NOT stand-alone. This isn't made clear in the description, so that annoyed me. Anyways, breaking down the individual stories in the order they appear in the book, not the summary. 4 stars for The Scientific Method. This was a very good story and I will definitely be checking out more stories by Joey W. Hill after this. This was a very good story and I will definitely be checking out more stories by Joey W. Hill after this. Debra has been with Lord Brian as his right hand in research and his third marked servant for the last 7 (?) years. (view spoiler)[Two years into their relationship, she tells him that she loves him and he makes her watch him have sex with another woman and then suck him off afterwards. (hide spoiler)] She's been repressing her love for him but is starting to reach her breaking point, since there's no way to break their bond except her death. He finds out and sets out to mend their relationship. Brian definitely showed his love for Debra through his actions, although I personally wish he had said the words but despite double-checking, I don't think that happened. Still, I really liked this story. Just a warning, for those who can't stand that kind of thing, there's group sex at one point (imo, it was pretty smexy and that takes skill) and also, a (not too graphic) non-consensual oral scene between Debra and a villain. This was a full-length stand-alone book in a series. 2 stars for Three Secrets. This is the 3rd (?) story in a trilogy (?). It was very short and the characters and motivations didn't quite gel for me. If Nicole is a Domme and it's important enough to her to consider breaking up with Abel, the fact that she also thinks she could give it up to be with him sounds unhealthy. As for Abel's secret, if (as he tells her at the end) sharing her with his brothers is not a hard requirement, why obsess about it? I'm coming to realize that I have to quite like the characters to enjoy ménages stories. As for swinging, which is really what this ended up being (since the brothers both had wives and it was one big happy family), I don't remember any romance that I liked it in. I don't know if this story would've been better if it were longer or just more for me to dislike. 3 stars for His Secret. It was short and sweet but I barely remember it. IIRC, it was stand-alone but I'm not entirely certain about that. 3 stars for Bondage on 34th Street. This is an mmf story with a Dom, a switch and a sub. That's not my cup of tea, so I won't be reading more in this series. The author's note at the end acknowledges that this story was a prequel but I wish that had been clear up front. Otherwise, it was a decent story. 3 stars for Remastered. This started out as a 4 star read until I was unexpectedly hit with an epilogue. Spook and Allegra had great chemistry and the story definitely had me hooked. However, the sudden shock of the ending (especially combined with the fact that their full story isn't available yet) knocked it down a star for me. 4 stars for Working Out. Mac's been flirting with Maggie for months now but she's taking a break from men. When they do start dating, both of them have to learn to trust in someone again. This story started out a little slow for me but it was turned out to be a nice solid romance. It was stand-alone (but part of a series) and full-length. 2 stars for Juicy. This is the first book in a trilogy and not stand-alone. I prefer my romance stories to start after a character is past the rebound stage of a breakup and Solie is definitely not past that and obsessing a fair amount over her ex. Plus, she wandered into TSTL territory. Ladies, get your head out of the sand! Denial is not going to protect you from crazies, so if your neighbor tells you that they've been seeing someone who looks like your psychopathic (the author's words, not mine) ex, don't just ignore the warning. I liked (but not loved) Burton probably because I didn't feel like I got to know him all that well. The story is told entirely from Solie's POV and I'm not interested in reading more of her story. 1.5 stars for No Limits. I don't know if this story was supposed to be romance or erotica. For that matter, I'm not sure if it's a prequel or a short story or the first book in a series. Either way, it was not for me. I can intellectually understand that there are women out there who actually want this but I have zero interest in gangbangs, especially in my romance. Let me be clear, this was her being f***ed by multiple strangers (all men), none of whom she knew or had any interest in getting to know and they were being watched via camera by the male lead (with their knowledge, so not as creepy as it sounds?). Alex set it up for Julia because that was the fantasy she told him she wanted but it just squicked me out. They did have one-on-one action afterwards but by that point, I just wanted to finish reading the story. Also, by the end, they had an argument and she decided she was done. So, now that I'm thinking about it, this was probably a prequel but I'm done. 3.5 stars for Ink Reunited. This was a second chance story for a triad. It was a good story with a HEA (I think) but somehow left me a little unsatisfied. I felt like it needed to be a little longer and more fleshed out? 3.5 stars for Unfettered. I really liked this story, in fact, it would've probably been my second favorite (after The Scientific Method) if I didn't feel like the declarations of love happened too quickly. Ronnie and Ian meet again at Overwatch 19 (?) years after he kissed her and left. They didn't keep in touch but still have chemistry when she joins the club to explore her submissive side and maybe meet a man to share love and life. So, they talk a little bit during the training sessions that all new members attend where he is one of the instructors and have coffee afterwards once. The first time she shows up at the club after training is over, he takes her home and they declare their love for each other. Considering they'd barely started reconnecting after so many years apart, those words felt like they basically came out of nowhere. Still, I really liked the story and will probably pick up the next book in the series. All in all, this anthology had a couple really good reads but more lackluster ones. 4 of the 9 stories are not stand-alone. I found a couple new-to-me authors I liked, so worth it to me in the end.

None of the stories I out right hated but their were some I just didn’t enjoy. As anthologies go this is a great one. Joey W. Hill has the first story a stand alone from her Vampire Queen series, The Scientific Method. I am kind of iffy on it I enjoyed the story the coming together of Lord Bryan and his servant Debra. The hot sexy scenes between them were just ok, and quite honestly I just glossed over them and it seemed a lot longer then it was. Three Secrets by Opal Carew is the third of her Three series. Nicole and Abel met before and had a fun summer together, but here they are back in the real world each with secrets of their own to share. Short and sweet and freakin’ hot! A nice short and to the point story that has me wanting to find the rest of the series. Now for the dynamic duo of Emily Ryan Davis and Jennifer Leeland with Bondage on 34th Street. Love triangle done right, Tasha Sears is finally back home where she belongs and now that she is she plans to finally reveal to Ty she want to be his submissive only problem is that he is already taken be the domineering Noah. What Noah and Tasha don’t realize is that Ty has plans for both of them. Really hot, great descriptive, really the only thing I think I can say is yumm. Remastered by Madelynne Ellis is a novelette, an in-between for her Black Halo series. After the death of a band mate things are hectic, the Goth-metal band is re-releasing some track. Allegra is paid to remaster and clean up the track but not butcher it, Spook the rhythm guitarist volunteered to help make sure she doesn’t and an unexpected spanking for her poor performance. An enjoyable read with spanking done right more playful than for punishment. Working Out by Marie Harte is a great story. Book two in the series we have Mac and Maggie the two have been dancing around each other for months ever since their two best friends hooked up. Mac has had it and finally makes his move and Maggie doesn’t give in easily. Silly games they play almost tear them apart before they even get a chance. But it is a hot and steamy play at dominance between the two. I love Marie Harte and this is just as good as I would have hoped. Juicy is a Twilight Teahouse story by T.J. Micheals. Solie just had a bad break with a bad boyfriend and a bad relationship. To bad she didn’t realize it until after the thing was over. It’s a good thing her best friends are their to help especially Burton. Burton has been biding his time before he makes him move on Solie and this is the perfect time to show her he is the man and the Dominant for her and how it should be in a D/s relationship. It was a good read a nice example of how the ideal D/s relationship should be minus the evil ex stocking. No Limits by Kate Pearce, I really didn’t care for. Dr. Julia Reed knows what she wants and has no qualms about it and Alex Logan is just the man to give Julia her fantasies. If only Alex’s secrets won’t tear them apart. Their wasn’t anything specific I didn’t like about the story it just didn’t float my boat. Ink Reunited by one of my absolute favorites authors Carrie Ann Ryan. Sassy Bordeaux has had her hand in everyone’s love lives at Midnight Ink now it her turn get her HEA. She had guarded her past and played the sexy, cool, mysterious card but when her past walks in she just about blows a gasket. Rafe and Ian walking into her life out of the blue after ten years both finally willing to admit it had been done so they each could grow as people, but that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt or that they can just pick up where they left off. I love Sassy and I loved this story. Unfettered an Overwatch novella by Sasha White is a short and sweet story. Ronnie wants someone to see past the grease under her nails to the woman inside tired of posers and wannabes she finds herself applying for Overwatch. She never expected to find Ian there a crush from her past the man she subconsciously has compared every man too. Can they make it past training without breaking the rules and admit they are perfect for each other. I look forward to more Overwatch stories, I love the idea of Overwatch. I am picky about my BDSM romance, to me reading romance is all about fantasy and escape and BDSM really isn’t something I need to fantasize about so I am generally more picky about it. Mastered is a great BDSM romance anthology I highly recommend to those love their BDSM romance.

This is a mixed bag of stories. Honestly, I've written and re-written this review about twenty times. Trying to condense ten reviews into one is quite a challenge. I will confess that I am an unabashed fan of Ms. Hill, but that doesn't mean I love everything she's written. And when I'm in reviewer mode, I make every effort to be critical but positive. I'm not going to give ten separate reviews, but I did make a few notes as I read. So, here goes. The Scientific Method is part of the Vampire Queen This is a mixed bag of stories. I will confess that I am an unabashed fan of Ms. Hill, but that doesn't mean I love everything she's written. And when I'm in reviewer mode, I make every effort to be critical but positive. I'm not going to give ten separate reviews, but I did make a few notes as I read. So, here goes. The Scientific Method is part of the Vampire Queen series, but it's written so that (I think) anyone new to this popular universe will be able to follow the story just fine. As usual, the writing is professional and the characters and plotting are top notch. The note I jotted in the margin as I read? "Well-crafted, as always." For me, that's shorthand for, "Joey slammed this one out of the park again." (And the crowd goes wild . . .) The stories in this anthology have a strong BDSM theme, and for the most part this theme is well-handled by these writers. Popular writer Opal Carew has penned an interesting little tale of polyamory, and Portia Da Costa's offering is a very nice story about people learning to ask for what they want. With spanking. Emily Ryan Davis & Jennifer Leeland surprised me with what became my second favorite story in the mix, after Joey Hill's. Bondage On 34th Street is a lovely menage story with one Dom, one switch, and one sub. Only problem is that I would have liked to have seen a scene with the main Dom, Noah, and the switch, Ty, that showed how their dynamic worked without Tasha being in the picture. It would have been good to see how Noah & Ty fit together when it's just the two of them. Without that, it just feels like Tasha is there to be a bandaid over the holes in their relationship - particularly because she is understood to be fulfilling the role of sub to both men. Madelynne Ellis' story fell a bit flat for me, and is one of the reasons this didn't get five stars from me. The characters had promise, but that promise was never fulfilled. Ditto for Marie Harte's piece, with juvenile characters and a trite storyline that needed some editing. And, unfortunately, the same with T.J. Michaels' story, Juicy which I could have loved, except for one fatal flaw. I studied French for four years - one of them under a native speaker. So when a character says, "how are jew? So vunderful to see jew!" in what the author describes as a "smooth French accent," I am pulled right out of the story. Is this supposed to be a joke? Earlier, the heroine was described as speaking in a perfect Japanese accent. Now I don't know what to think. If you're going to profess highly skilled knowledge of any subject in which you yourself are not proficient, you should always seek advice from someone who does have that proficiency. Kate Pearce's story was just . . flat. Not good, not bad, not entirely believable. But Carrie Ann Ryan's story about a side character in the Midnight Ink world was a keeper. It made me want to hunt down the rest of the series and read them right now. And that's where the anthology should have ended. As it is, it ended on the sour note of Sasha White's unedited, amateurish Unfettered. I have no idea what the background is on how this anthology came together, and I'm well aware that every anthology has its rough spots. This story, however, seems to have been given a cursory pass and published without benefit of any editing at all. I'll sum it up. When a writer is under a deadline, things do pass unnoticed - things such as the difference between plural and possessive forms of a word. When it occurs once, I count it as a typo and let it pass. But when it happens three or more times on the same page, I have to think it's more like a bad habit. The entire story is riddled with this sort of simple error. Bottom line: read this for The Scientific Method, Bondage On 34th Street, and Ink Reunited, and get some other good stories as a bonus. A couple of rough spots don't detract from the excellence of the rest of the work.

I received this book as an e-ARC free from Netgalley. Below is my review. Three Secrets by New York Times and USA Today bestseller Opal Carew: 2.5 The last in a series, and it shows. There's no real build up. Too short to get to really know any character. A Domme who's really a switch? This one is probably more personal preference on the not for me" scale. Neither Nicole nor Abel felt remotely interesting. His Secret by International and UK Sunday Times bestseller Portia Da Costa: 2.5 Ben and Sarah I received this book as an e-ARC free from Netgalley. Too short to get to really know any character. A Domme who's really a switch? This one is probably more personal preference on the not for me" scale. Neither Nicole nor Abel felt remotely interesting. His Secret by International and UK Sunday Times bestseller Portia Da Costa: 2.5 Ben and Sarah are a great initiation story, both in that he is initiating her into the lifestyle and a reader new to BDSM can learn a bit. Sadly, it feels more like a vignette than a full story. I liked the definite HEA that ends this. It doesn't rise to a full "like it" but it has a huge amount of potential if the author decided later to expand the story to a full novella or even a novel. Remastered by Multi-Award-Winner Madelynne Ellis: 2.5 As superficial and instalusty as Ash's book. There was no real connection and no real characterization. Working Out by USA Today bestseller Marie Harte: 4 Second best story in this anthology. Good characterization. Fun story. A little rough around the edges on the kink. The Scientific Method by bestseller Joey Hill: 4.5 A gem of a story in this anthology. It felt like a real relationship. Good ending instead of some variation of the HFN or "and see what happens next". I absolutely loved it. Juicy by bestseller T.J. Michaels: 2.5 Solie is the "tough as nails outside the bedroom" staple we see these days, a CEO who wants to be let it go in the bedroom. While this story had more relationship building going for it, the stereotyping was prevalent and it ended in a vague HFN. No Limits by USA Today bestseller Kate Pearce: 1 Um, just no. Anyone reading this and thinking this is what should happen between a Dom and a sub is going to get the wrong idea. And there is no relationship here, only the potential for one, maybe, somewhere down the line. Ink Reunited by USA Today bestseller Carrie Ann Ryan: 3 Rafe, Ian, and Sassy are a triad broken up by fears 10 years ago. A true triad is hard to write properly and this one is well done. This isn't just a menage; this is a love story among three people. I would have liked more showing and exploration of the relationships because the emotion was more "they love each other" than showing they love each other. The societal constraints and prejudices seemed to be more the focus instead of the characters and the complexities of the relationships. It left me cold and kept the sexy times from being pleasurable. This could have been a story that really explored a triad but it missed the mark. Unfettered: An Overwatch Story by Sasha White: 3 I liked it. A bit light on the characterization and a variation on the HFN/see what happens next ending. Bondage on 34th Street by Emily Ryan-Davis & Jennifer Leeland: 2.5 Remind me again what a switch is? Because really, Ty is a submissive the whole way. Noah just ends up with 2 subs, one of whom wants to be dominated more than the other. And so much for trust being a cornerstone. There isn't enough trust to go around in any way, shape, or form here."

I love all the authors but my first love (and heartache !!!!!) is and will be Joey H. Will !!! I'm a huge fan (slightly addicted to her writing) so this made me really REALLY happy to see that Brian and Debra got this book :) When you follow Joey and the "how" and "why" she writes you can not keep still and not wonder what is she going to pull out next. She proves constantly that there are different layers to us and to our relationships that will always keep you guessing !! So about her book I love all the authors but my first love (and heartache !!!!!) is and will be Joey H. So about her book in this "The scientific method" or as we at the Joey fan club like to call it "Nerd got night game" (I can't take the credit for this but it's frekin' genius!!!!) Soooooo this time she did the unthinkable !!! a vampire admitting that he's WRONG !!! "Hold the press!!!!!" I mean when you read her vampire books you get the overall pic about the "bloodsuckers" (sorry if it offends but I wanted to use it for soooooo long hihihih *evil laugh*) is that they are in charge, they are the boss and their word is final. So imagine my surprise when a vampire openly admits that he's been an ass (sorry again but it had to be said). But seriously, trough her books you meet all types of characters (stuck-up royalty, brooding men, loners, ruthless killers) but to be inside a scientist head and to make sense of it and survive and LOVE IT - let me tell you, it takes skill. This is also one of the most romantic, sensual and beautiful love story ever written (all her stories share the No.1 spot but this one hits ALL the buttons). I admit I'm a hardcore romantic and this book had me crying my eyes out every couple of pages !! and I needed extra time to read it cause of it! and on top of that, it made me re-read all the vampire series cause it's been a while (like a month) since I re-read them and the book makes you miss them all over again. then I had to re-read Brian again to be sure of it all (an believe me, I cried AGAIN, freakin' waterfalls) to able to put all thoughts into this review :) If you want a story about a couple meant to be together if realms far greater than you can imagine (lucky for us she can), where they need to find their way back to each others hearts and souls, reclaim their love and realize it what a rear thing it is and not take it for granted, if you want to see what it takes for a trust to be build after if was damaged, what it means to fight against what you were thought to believe and practice what you preach, if you want to see what it takes to nourish a fragile heart into a full and free bloom and give it wings to fly then THIS is the book for you. Believe me when I tell you, I'm not easily impressed but this lady (Joey) knocks me on my ass EVERY SINGLE TIME !!! and the time when she does not I have free rain to tell her that hihihih :) I will share with you my most favorite and the most memorable quote with you “... The bond I have with my lady? It’s the very air I breathe, my lord. Knowing she has given me her heart, that she entrusts me with her love, it’s indescribable. We can all talk about unconditional service until we’re blue in the face, but reciprocity is what strengthens a relationship, makes it something we can’t live without...” Joey ... I've said it all...when I'm 95 I will still be buying and reading your books !! keep them coming girl !!!

I have not had a chance to read through all of these wonderful stories yet, but the ones I have read are nothing short of amazing! The Scientific Method I really enjoyed The Scientific Method. The Scientific Method I really enjoyed The Scientific Method. This story had so much depth and realness to it. I found that I had to remind myself that it was a fictional vampire story. The character structure was done so phenomenally that it made it so easy to be wrapped up in their thoughts. Joey allows her characters to have a complete thought process as they would in real life. It is fun to see the characters work out their own emotions on such a deep and realistic level. Having well developed characters definitely gives this story an edge that many authors tend to lack. Another aspect I really enjoyed about this story is that it felt complete when it was threw. I didn't feel that it was rushed in anyway. I am excited to catch up on the rest of the Vampire Queen series. Overall, The Scientific Method was more than a story to pass the time by. This story was a complete experience that any ready would greatly enjoy. Unfettered This book was amazing to say the least. The connection and dynamic between the main characters was something special. After reading this book I honestly believe that Sasha has the talent and capability to write a trilogy like Fifty Shades. This meaning she could write three thick books about two characters and their lives together. The way her writing captivates the reader and leaves them wanting to know so much more about the story is wonderful. My favorite scene in Unfettered would have to be the coffee shop scene. There is so much building during that scene for the story, it was written in a way that is wonderfully steamy, but also had me laughing out loud. This story is about two strong, independent people coming together in the BDSM world, accepting their natural places and falling hopelessly in love. It has the perfect balance of sexy and romantic. My only complaint is that it isn't longer. This story leaves you craving much more. Overall, this is a must read and goes up on my virtual shelf of favorite books.

A simply fabulous way to try new authors and hopefully discover a brand new favourite but I'm sure most of the names featured here will be ones romance readers are already quite familiar with. Whilst these stories may not be the longest they are nevertheless full length satisfying stories and not just a tease or first chapter . Pick this up and prepare to be whisked away into a world filled with romance and lust and then be prepared to put all else on hold as you won't want to put this book down ! There are so many stories here that it would be a waste of time to review each one individually but I will mention one or two that for this reader stood out. I have read contemporary stories by Joey W Hill but this was my first one by her that features her Vampire Queen world and as I'm a huge fan of paranormal romance then it's a well overdue introduction. Carrie Ann Ryan is an old favourite of mine and I virtually inhale her werewolf stories so this contemporary story by her was quite a revelation and is an insight into her Montgomery Ink series . Madelynne Ellis was a new name to me I must confess but Kate Pierce and Portia De Costa are authors who I have previously seen highly recommended so I loved the opportunity to sample their work . There's just such a wealth of talent there that it's very hard.to just pick out one or two names . This is a seriously sexy read and I feel some of the exploits might just take some readers out of their comfort zone but if you are open minded and content to embrace a world where pleasure and pain can happily exist side by side then you will love this anthology. Have a cold shower on standby and dive into these stories and you just might discover your own Dom!

Hill's The Scientific Method, which is actually part of her Vampire series ( a paranormal but with strong D/s more into Master and servant themes). Lord Brian and Debra are familiar figures to readers of the series and here we get to glimpse the very intricate almost fragile relationship this two have. Complicated by rules about how Master and servant should behave, whatever relationship Debra has envisioned with Brian seems impossible to achieve. Instead she becomes the perfect servant and scientific partner to her master, anticipating his every need, never asking for more than what he could offer. On the other hand Brian is starting to realize that denying how deep he feels for Debra could mean losing her forever and that he could never survive. What I love about Joey W. Hill's writing is that she delivers in every aspect of what a love story should be. Being erotica this novella is definitely enough to burn the pages however the strength lies in how she was able to describe almost in minute detail what a relationship is be it Master and Servant or equal partners. The Scientific Method is a dissection of how two people in love could remain oblivious to each other's feeling and how they could lose each other despite the love being there. It was heartbreaking, poignant, sensual and some moments of being bittersweet but of course in the end we get a very erotic happily ever after (complete with mice :) ). *Copy provided in return for an honest review*

The first thing that catches the eye is the beautifully sculpted chest of some hunky guy on the cover sporting a nipple ring you want to latch on to with your teeth! The next thing to take notice of is that you are in for ten sexy stories that promise to send you to cloud nine! All of these wonderful authors give readers strong women and sexy alpha males to fall in love with, and I am crazy about them all. Of course all the stories are hot enough to make your toes curl, but they also have depth. Fans of the authors may recognize at least some of the characters because they make appearances in series created by the writer. Please don't allow this to deter you from reading; these stories stand can on their own and give you a taste of what you're missing. I am pleased that I picked up Mastered. Some of the writers I am familiar with, and enjoy very much. The others were totally new to me, but I am always happy to discover another fantastic author. If you are the type of reader who tends to blush when things start warming up I may suggest that you refrain from reading it on a crowded subway! I do suggest you give the book a try and read the series each story took inspiration from; because there is no doubt you will be thoroughly satisfied! **Reviewed by Teresa D. for ThatsErotica.com**

In fact I think Ms. DaCosta has written the very best of his type of character I've ever read. And that is saying something because I read a lot! :) The best writers in this genre could gain some insight into her portrayal of a loving sadist. He is unapologetic and guilt free. The author confident creating a delightful ease in a daunting subject. This dominant man knows what he wants. Is respectful, reverent, and so very appreciative of his lovers submission. Never cruel, not even a hint of it. What go me started down this track of dialog is the recognition that Ms. DeCosta could write a much longer novel with Ben as the protagonist with more inner dialog for an even more pleasing read. Ben has made it to the top 5 best male characters in my list. It's just too bad there wasn't more written about him. But, hey? Leave'em wanting more, right? Cuz, I sure do. :) I'll be back to edit this overly verbose (ha!) review.

Ms. Michaels does a great job or showing how Solie moves from devastation to being ready to take her life back and begin again. She finds just what she didn't know she needed with her long-time best friend, Burton. Yummy! There is nothing bad to say about him, and he is so refreshing in that he knows what he wants and just goes for her. Honest and wonderful. I really like these two together and can't wait to see what other relationships happen at the Twilight Teahouse. If this is any indicator of the rest of the books...ohhhh yeah!

Boxed Sets are becoming all the rage now and I was hoping to see one with an erotic slant and found this one to be an engaging read with a bit of varying kinks and themes for every reader. There's a bit of BDSM, a little m/m action, and a bit of vampy loving. From start to finish each one grabs you and keeps you enthralled to the very last story. Most of them felt fully fleshed-out and with surprising depth but one or two felt a bit less refined and more of an enjoyable fluff piece.
