At several points during the story I laughed out loud at pet behavior that mirrored the behavior of my own two adopted and much loved cats and other pets I have known and loved throughout my life. This book is great becaust it is easily accessible to young readers who are both very interested in animal stories and most capable of absorbing the books message of compassion. My Name is Henley is a real, relatable, well-written story of the love animals bring to life that asks us to be worthy of that love.
