While waiting for the next in the Kate Daniels series (Ilona Andrews) I discovered Mercy Thompson. What a nice addition to my new genre urban fantasy. Bad a** women with swords rule.

Fun comic. I really enjoyed this, the artwork was great. I would have liked more though. Like way more. ;-) the storyline was interesting and fit nicely with the series, there just wasn't enough to it. Fun comic. I really enjoyed this, the artwork was great. Nothing New There's nothing new here if you've read the series and it's incredibly short. I'm not paying to find out if the other "Graphic Novels" (this is shorter than a standard comic book) are similarly lacking. I like the artwork. It was a bit male-gazey but not so much that it disturb the story. And I got sucked in. I actually read some of Patricia Briggs books before but I can't remember anything about them. So I'm working my way through the Mercy Thompson World - Complete Series. I'm in he mood for a romance series without the tropes I despise. This series comes highly recommended. I like the artwork. It was a bit male-gazey but not so much that it disturb the story. An okay read. Graphic novel of Mercy Thompson and her first settling into her town. It was, like I said, okay. The novels have Mercy with a healthy dose of fear, respect, and also disrespect of others. In the graphic novel she just is angry with a chip on her shoulder all the time. She’s either angry or temporarily depressed. I want more b/c it offers backstory, but not in graphic novel form. Sigh.

Looks good but . . . Not much for what it costs. I would love to read these four books, but dev not worth the price to see somebody else's idea of Mercy! Looks good but . . . I love the whole Mercy Thompson series. I couldn't stop reading the books. The storyline is so interesting, and the characters are well defined and grow on you. The series is a good balance of love, family, friends, action and drama. For readers looking for a romance with detailed steamy scenes, this might not be the book for you u. Though you get loads of werewolves, vampires and other super natural beings. I love how the author goes into details about werewolves and how they live. Graphic novel - Prequel to popular Mercy Thompson series This is the first episode of a graphic novella (comic book) It is part 1 of 4. It is the story of how Mercedes Thompson became the VW mechanic and takes place many years before the books in the Mercy series were set. I am not really a fan of this type of book so I don't really know how it compares. I would point out that they do not work on a Kindle ereader. You will need a tablet or pc to read it. The art work is OK but like film adaptations the artist is fighting against the readers imagination. Some of the characters look exactly as described in the book series others not so much. Adam has the wrong eye colour for example. I tried it because I liked the idea of finding out more about the early years. It wasn't very successful at that as the main points were covered in the novels and in fact it contradicts some of the lore in the series. You will need to buy all the episodes and that will not be cheap. Even then the story will not take long to read. This is one for real diehard fans.

New experience for me I did not know this was a graphic short story so was a bit surprised to see images. I guess I should read descriptions better. This story filled in gaps in what I remembered from flashbacks in the novels. Nicely done! Mercy fighting naked was a nice bonus most male readers would appreciate. My aging eyes had some difficulty with the marathon and dialogue. I guess I need a bigger tablet next upgrade. (Heavy sigh)

Love this series, what can I say Short story. This tells about how the series starts and is a must read for those who love this series. Great storyline and well-developed characterization. Comic book format. Great for those 14 and older.

Rippoff I thought I was paying for a kindle book. In stead I got about 20 or fewer pages of a manga, a teaser.

I love this whole series, this graphic novel is just as good.

Again, these are way too short...I'd like to see what happens, but I think I'll stop here rather then forking over $2 every twenty minutes to continue the story. 25 pages, so was too short for my liking. Not a bad graphic novella though.

I didn't expect a comic book. I like the Mercy Thompson novels. The comic book is true to the characters but I prefer the novels. Why the big breasts? I didn't expect a comic book. Love manga style story. Though wish chapters were longer, before having to pay to read the next segment. Love Patricia Briggs stories. Art work is good.

Cool prequel! The art in the GN is very much what I expected with little bit of edge to it. I can't wait to get the next volume. Cool prequel! The art in the GN is very much what I expected with little bit of edge to it. I can't wait to get the next volume.
