My Review: I won "GRAN Z & THE ROBOT REVOLUTION" by Elvis Deane (author) and Amanda Martin (illustrator) in a GoodReads giveaway - No review was demanded of me. The story is about a grannie, Gran Z, who decides to build a robot, Rob-O, in her garage; he is very different from others of his kind that are later produced by Robots For Everyone Inc.. It was left to Gran & Rob-O to save the day! A satisfying read for children under the age of ten whether they are aficionados of this genre (sci-Fi and Robots) or not. The rhyming of words makes the story glide along very smoothly, and because of this, it is a story that can be read to or read by children over and over again, especially when read aloud. The book even has a moral to the story: "What is it that makes life worth living?" - Read the book and find out! I mustn't end without mentioning Amanda Martin, who did a wonderful job of illustrating this literary work; her "cartoon pictures" deserved their placement in fifty percent of the book, for she gives the full visual picture to Elvis Deane words. I give 5 STARS to "GRAN Z & THE ROBOT REVOLUTION" by Elvis Deane (author) and Amanda Martin (illustrator)

"Gran Zed & The Robot Revolution " by Elvis Deane which I won from Goodreads Giveaways is a wonderfully, imaginative children's science fiction-fantasy about a robot rebellion. It begins when spirited retiree Gran Zed builds Rob-O to be her companion and friend. When Robots for Everyone Inc. sees how wondrous and work saving these metallic creatures can be, they make hundreds of them. But one day the worker robots get a new command and they riot. Only Gran Zed and Rob-O can save their town from destruction and terror. In this wildly imaginative tale Gran Zed with the help of Rob-O must use her expertise to restore order and return normalcy to the town and its citizens. She does this in a unique way that makes everyone's life more agreeable. This short story is lively and amusing. Gran Zed's a feisty, energetic and fun character. Just as the story is captivating for children, the illustrations are bright, colourful, and entrancing. I kept thinking it would make a great cartoon series. I found "Gran Zed & The Robot Revolution" a delight to read. Kudos to the author and illustrator for an intoxicating story which I'm sure will certainly captivate the children at my library.

* I received this book from a GoodReads give away. * This is a really cute book for children interested in robots and adventure. It's really thoughtful and exciting, the character of the grandma is just adorable, and the story telling in verses make it charming and funny. It's really good to trigger conversion with children about robots, ethic, pets, the role of tools and even revolutions. It's also a fun way to learn quite a bit of vocabulary. The illustration are extremely good: very sleek, mode * I received this book from a GoodReads give away. * This is a really cute book for children interested in robots and adventure. I've recieved this book from a goodreads contest. This children's book is a good book. Very simple to read (duh its a childrens' book. i know.)yet has a great illustration to follow each page. This book is one of those rhyming scheme books (much like Robert Munch), yet i actually didnt even notice it rhyme 1/3 of the way in. Has a good beginning middle and end which a child should be able to follow very easily. great read for kids under 8. I've recieved this book from a goodreads contest. Cute illustrations, and a easy to follow story about Robots. My nephew just adored it. He's big into Robots right now. Recommended for the child that is a Robot lover. A nicely poetic little story, with some nice cartoony illustrations. Unfortunately I don't have kids, so I couldn't get their reaction. A nicely poetic little story, with some nice cartoony illustrations. Unfortunately I don't have kids, so I couldn't get their reaction.
