Peter Pactor –
Robert Service is still one of my favorite poets, and I particularly like this collection. This was my second reading and I enjoyed it as well as I did the first time through. I think he captures well the spirit and emotions of the people engaged in those times, whether a soldier in battle or reminiscing with a friend, or a loved one waiting to here from the soldier. Robert Service captures the humanity of the participants.
