I won Canadian Geographic: Biggest and Best of Canada from Goodreads. History, sports, geography, climate, Biggest and Best of Canada provides nuggets of information that are fascinating and fun. The "facts" are quick-read boxes of details placed on and around related photographs. The reader may read the book from cover to cover, or peruse the book, reading whatever catches one's interest in the moment. Curious, beautiful, amusing, the photos are windows into all that is Canada. While touching on I won Canadian Geographic: Biggest and Best of Canada from Goodreads. Curious, beautiful, amusing, the photos are windows into all that is Canada. While touching on the places and things that are familiar about this huge country, the book introduces the reader to many wonderful, unique facets of a people and landscape one will want to know better. I learned a great deal as I read through the book, discovering places I now have a desire to visit. This collection of fascinating facts is more than your average coffee table book. This book can provide a start to lively family discussions as well as provide a resource for developing travel plans. Biggest and Best of Canada is not only great for armchair travelers, but also fun for anyone who enjoys learning about insightful, beautiful, and quirky facts.

Loads of fun facts! So much stuff I did not know about our northern neighbor. I love that in the pop culture section there was nary a mention of the Beebs. Gotta respect a nation that is not endorsing that ass hat. And who knew the worlds largest Caribbean celebration was in Toronto. I would have thought it would be in.....bum bum bum the Caribbean. The fact that Winnipeg is the Slurpee capital of the WORLD makes me intensely jealous. Go Canada!

This is a fun compilation/fact dump of Canadiana and Canada related information. It is essentially a series of panels on which Canadian city/province/region/park has the most of this or that. The photo's were lovely in most places, although each page seems to have one or two full page photos, with little context as to which of the five or six panels of information it corresponds with. It would have been nice to see more photographs specific to each tidbit. The facts themselves were interesting, wi This is a fun compilation/fact dump of Canadiana and Canada related information. The facts themselves were interesting, with everything from which city in Canada gets the most rain to which province exports the most uranium. Cool stuff that many of us probably do not know. Recommended to those who enjoy Canada and want to learn more about it. It's a quick and enjoyable read.
