The plus: the recipes did use real food instead of mixes and pre-packaged mixes. But aside from that, I would NEVER have guessed this was a diabetes cookbook. The recipes had a lot of sugar. And they weren't particularly healthy - vegetables were not prominent in most recipes, and 90% of the vegetables that were in there were onions or green peppers. And the recipes were not flavorful. I should write a cookbook! The recipes I make are much healthier and tastier. The plus: the recipes did use real food instead of mixes and pre-packaged mixes. Not very helpful or practical for me.
Sarah –
The fact that this is promoted as a health cookbook is astoundingly ridiculous.

Recipes not what I was looking for

Excellent resource for the modern diabetic chef. Many conatin items unheard of years ago, such as soy milk, soy yogurt, stevia, edamamae, etc. Natural products to increase your protein etc. I liked the format, while it has no photos, each page may have cute food facts and tips. Nice book.
