I thought this book was well written, educational and fun! The pictures were very detailed and held my attention, not to mention the story of the short vowel adventures. Now my 5 year old son LOVED this book, we laughed together at the pictures, and of the story. He read the book to his older sister who wanted to know who made all the things in the pictures. (My daughter is very artistic and loves to create scenes, people, animals.) A wonderful book that I can't wait to share with his teacher, s I thought this book was well written, educational and fun! We loved this book! It is a great book for children. The short vowel adventure which emphasizes how to correctly pronounce a word is a wonderful and interesting way that teaches children how to read. The illustrations were darling and the story starter at the end of the book really gets the children talking. The children like to read the book to Gosig Mus and Gosig Ratta (Ikea mouse and rat Characters).

However, once again the adorably crafted figures and their surroundings are the highlight of the book for me.
