It's no gamble. A favorite book of my husband's fo many years and I finally read it. Enjoying the tactics and shared winning ideas. A fun book for those who like to win at a game of chance. Games You Can't Lose is a good book for explaining why gambling is a bad idea. It is full of fun stunts for using against your friends, and explains why odds and probability are against you in a casino. I read it several times in middle school, and I've had it tucked away until now. Games You Can't Lose is a good book for explaining why gambling is a bad idea. The book is amusing, but I can't help thinking that if one tries any of this stuff while not being extremely charismatic, one is likely to get hurt. The book is amusing, but I can't help thinking that if one tries any of this stuff while not being extremely charismatic, one is likely to get hurt.

The information in this book feels very dated, as I can't imagine anyone actually following through and paying someone on these kinds of wagers. It does have great information on the real odds in casinos (assuming they are still accurate) and why gambling is just in general a terrible idea and should only be done for fun and with the understanding you're probably going to lose. I was hoping for more stories from Harry's days hustling on the streets, but those are few and far between here. I loved this book when I read it nearly 30 years ago. I still remember entire passages, lessons, and statistics from it. Harry seemed to be part hustler, part clown, and full of heart. RIP.

Information on gambling and tricks you can play on people in small entertaining chapters. A little outdated, but still works when you merely want to have fun with your friends.
