I loved this book! Mia wants to enter a design-a-dress contest but will it be too much with already being in the Cupcake Club and Halloween coming up? Mia starts designing the dress and gets into an argument with her BFF Katie. Mia makes a joke about her fashion sense and asks Alexis and Emma if they want to model Mia's dress. Katie takes it personally and thinks Mia thinks that Katie is not pretty enough to model her dress. Katie ignores her for days, meanwhile her crush Chris wants to ask her I loved this book! Katie ignores her for days, meanwhile her crush Chris wants to ask her something but Mia says she's busy which prevents her from going to the dance with him. Katie and Mia make up and it was all a misunderstanding. Chris thought Mia blew her off according to Emma's brother Matt so she has to mend things with him at the dance. Though Mia finished the dress and Emma said she would model it she forget to make a Halloween costume for the dance! She ends up going as a clown and sees that Chris goes to the dance with a girl in her class named Talia. Chris and Mia are still friends but she is a little bummed that she didn't go to the dance with him. At least Katie got to go with George and Alexis went with Matt. I recommend this book for ages 7+. I probably won't reread this book because I have so many books on my TBR pile.
