I was looking for tips on how to use a Kamado grill and the the tips are there. The author's approach is to demonstrate the various items you can cook in a Kamado and provide tips blended with the recipes. I had my doubts about this approach, but it worked well. While you are learning how to use your Kamado, you are also enticed by what will become your future projects. I was looking for tips on how to use a Kamado grill and the the tips are there. I really enjoyed this book. Recipe books are easy to come by but this is primarily an ideas and techniques book, gleaned from personal experience. Chris presents an idea or a technique and then gives a sample recipe to try it out on. I feel like I've had a good bit of experience with kamado cooking but I definitely learned a few things and came away wanting to try more. I really enjoyed this book. Good and cheap and containing of some essential kamado techniques. Worth reading the basics and skimming the recipes for gems.
