I saw this on the Blogging for Books site and knew I had to have it. It just looked cute and funny. When it arrived I sat down and began reading it and sharing lines from it on Facebook. The artwork is both cute and realistic with vibrant colors and sharp details. Seabrook's creatures are the expressive and each one perfectly illustrates the quotes it accompanies. The quotes are a delightful blend of humor and wisdom, with the occasional touch of snark. Some of the quotes were fun - "I hear the call to do nothing, and am doing my best to answer it." accompanied by a lazy kitty or an alligator baby crawling out of its egg to the quote, "I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat roughage!" While others were more serious - "Anyone can be passionate. But it takes real lovers to be silly." and "When you're in it up to your ears...it pays to keep your mouth shut." with a picture of a hippo's head in water with just its eyes, nostrils, and ears showing. Furry Logic is cute, humorous, and sure to make you smile. If you don't, you might be dead. :D Keep it on your coffee table, bedside table, kids room, heck keep a copy in the bathroom!

But for the most part, I'll give this book, and the rest of the series, a pass.

I had no idea what to expect of this little book when I requested it. For all I knew, it could be entirely filled with drawings of cats. I am no enemy of cats, but books filled primarily with cats and nice quotes aren't my thing. This artist must be a kindred spirit because she chose all of my favourite little critters to grace the pages of this inspirational hardback! From owls to irresistible meerkats, wacky great king cranes to chubby woodchucks, this little book of art is one of the best of its kind I've ever seen! Because my family is populated by talented artists, I can be rather critical in my art tastes. But Jane Seabrook's work totally amazes and pleases me. Her creations have wonderful detail and best of all, unique expression! Every animal depicted in this book is fun to look at. The quotes are humorous and well-chosen. This will make a great gift for anyone, young or old! It's a coffee-table style book, in a small format! Sure to be a fun conversation starter too. My only complaint is that the author-illustrator didn't include my favorite animal, the red panda, in this charming book. May I suggest it for your next book, Jane? I received this book from the publisher in exchange for my hones review.

Furry Logic, A Guide to Life's Little Challenges is written and illustrated by Jane Seabrook and is a very delightful book. Dee-Light-Ful! My youngest child and I giggled and chortled our way through it. The illustrations, done in watercolor, are outstanding! I would have never guessed they were watercolor. Some of them are very life-like. In fact, there is one picture in particular I kept touching because my eyes were sure it was soft and fuzzy. As an often stressed out parent of a 3 year old and dealing with some health issues, I found this to be a delightful addition to my book collection. This is a small book perfect to set on your coffee table or night stand to peruse once a day or when you need to lighten your mood quickly. While she doesn't understand the adult humor, the illustrations caught my 3 year old daughter's attention. It was enjoyable reading a book out loud that entertained her, yet was still delightful for me. I recommend this book for any adult needing to add a little humor to their lives and maybe don't have the time to sit and read full blown novels.

There are many of life's little inconveniences presented in the book, and they are illustrated by adorable animals. You can't help but keep a smile on your face or burst at the seems from laughing. I'll definitely keep this one somewhere close so I can open it on a bad day.

There was no way to look at the cover of this book and not be drawn to what was inside! Furry Logic is a humorous and inspiring pep talk of sorts inside a book! From a kitty who says he hears the call to do nothing and is answering it, to a lovely pair of owls who state they don't repeat gossip so you had better listen carefully. I found myself smiling as I quickly flipped thru the pages to see what gem of wisdom, and what animal I might see on the next page. I love the illustrations that Jane Seabrook produces for her Logic books. Furry Logic is no exception. The cat on the cover got me at once and I found other favorites as I read the sayings and looked at the animal that illustrates it. It says a guide to life's little challenges and it really is. Pick this one up and on a down day read it again (really, it is a very easy book to read). It is sure to raise your spirits. I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
