This review contains adult content. Awesome idea. Bland coupling. When I first saw that this short story was about a hot, nerdy guy and a wild child chick who wanted to teach the guy a thing or two about women, I thought : SOLD. There wasn't really anything glaringly wrong (it was a basic guy meets girl story), but there wasn't much to draw me in either. I half expected Eden to be crazier than she was, and I honestly hoped for Simon to be more "girl awkward" than he was. ...and I really didn't expect this from him : Simon pulled back for a moment and looked up at me with a goofy grin. "Not yet, Eden. Let me savor your sweet taste. Your tight moistness before you climax." Did anyone else find that phrasing a little...uh...weird? Or was it just me? I wondered if she found Simon's goofy grins endearing, like how a puppy expression would be cute? My juices flowed out, coating him. Simon held me for a few more seconds, before laying back down and giving me a goofy grin. We won't even get into the other reason why I was not a fan of that passage. Hint : it has to do with the mention of juices. And one last thing : (view spoiler)[Baby making in a short story? Sigh. Please, no. (hide spoiler)] Again, I don't have any severe or harsh feelings. I just wasn't into it either. If you want to read a nerd guy/rebel girl story, maybe you'll be interested. I'm going to try to see if I can find something else with this theme and hope that I like it better.

This book was given to me for an honest review by Ms. Olson herself, and I have to say that I am very grateful she did because I LOVED IT! I loved everything about this book and I liked the fact that it wasn't a long one either. Don't get me wrong, I love my books nice and long but sometimes some books should be nice and short and this was one of them. Eden was a tattooed chick who had bad luck with love. Her ex-boyfriend Finn cheated on her with a stripper and Eden couldn't seem to forgive him for it even though Finn was drunk when it happened. She refused to give him a chance and just moved on with her life. She really had nothing to look forward to as she was working a local video store since she has a love for video games. Her best friend Liora has tried setting her up in the past and it just never worked. Now Liora is determined to set Eden up with Simon, a geeky hunk of a guy who is from Australia and is working here on a work visa. Simon tells Eden that he needs someone to teach him how to talk to girls because he isn't very successful in that department and Eden agrees to help him out. Finn comes back and tries to lure Eden back when he see's her talking to Simon and Eden was on the verge of forgiving him and was planning on giving him another chance but deep down she knew he wasn't sincere and decided against it. Most books have a happy ending and this one most certainly does! I have to say that I loved the character's, I definitely loved Eden because even though she looked like a tough chick with her tattoo's, she had a soft heart and would do anything for anybody. I give this two thumbs up :)

I loved it! This is about Eden. She works at a video game store. She sucks at love and relationships. One day her best friend Li basically tries to hook her up with a coworker of hers. Of course at first Eden thinks she’s supposed to help Simon get girls and not be shy... but apparently Simon wants to be with her... I loved this book.

This is my first book by Yolanda Olson and it will not be my last read by her either. Not only does she have a fabulous name, but she also creates fun, real characters. I really enjoyed Escaping Eden. This book tells the story of Eden a young women working at video game store who has had some bad luck in love and Simon, a sexy nerdy Australian. After a calculated “chance” encounter by Eden’s best friend Liora, Simon and Eden hit it off and desires between the two of the them grows. She spoke her mind, she wasn’t afraid to be herself, she was just a real girl. She has some insecurities like everyone, but that didn’t let her stop her from living and going after her wants. Let us not forget Simon. He is so sexy, and who doesn’t love a guy that is a little nerdy. I love how he got a little alpha toward the end. It really added a nice touch of steaminess. My biggest complaint about Escaping Eden was that it was too short. These characters are so great and I just wanted more. What can I say I am a selfish reader. With shorter books, that is always the problem for me. There is so much story between those two characters to be told and you are left saying more, more, more. So if you a looking for a short fun read, with two great characters, I recommend picking up Escaping Eden. Yolanda Olson does a great job.

This book is fantastic! I immediately fell in love with the characters! Eden is a strong character she is one of the main characters and she keeps me laughing then sometimes makes me want to scream! This is a romance, that is for readers 18+ due to some.... cough-suggestive-cough sexy time scenes. Who can have a dick that big? While I want a sexy Australian with a dick that big (I'm using my imagination from the way it was written) I have a feeling I would run screaming especially after four or more hours. This book is fantastic and I believe there is a follow up coming soon. I recommend this book if you are looking for great set up romance with lots of passion and confusion. 5 Stars.

This is the third book I've ready by Ms. Olson. It is my favorite. Eden works at a game shop and she gets set up by her friend to meet Simon, a hot and sexy nerd from Australia (yeah, that had me wondering too!) I like this book as it seems a touch realistic than the other two. It takes place mostly in the states and the H/h aren't instantly hopping in the sack together. There's a bit of a friendship established first, which makes it more believable for me. Granted, I've not met a friend that tosses around money like Simon does, but hey, it could happen! ;-) This was a fast, easy read that had me grinning during several scenes and hoping that Eden was able to find her someone that made her happy. Once again, I am glad to have "met" Eden and Simon. I would love to read another book with a follow up on these two as the end left me with a huge grin! It would be interesting to see them several years down the road, perhaps her friend Liora could get herself a story going!

I was given a copy of this book by the author Yolanda Olson in exchange for a fair review. ***NO SPOILERS!** This was a good book. It kept me interested and needing to turn to the next page from the very start. I loved the characters and their personalities. They were different and interesting. My only negative thought about the book is that I wish it was a bit longer there are parts that I wish had more to them. It is a quick read. I definitely want more. Over all I say READ IT!!

I am a huge fan of Yolanda Olson, her work is unique and her stories are wonderful! Escaping Eden is no different. Eden works at a video game store, she hasn't dated in a while, since the last jerk was just that...a jerk. Her friend has been trying to set her up and of course Eden just isn't down with that. That is, until Simon. Eden feels something for Simon, but she doesn't want to act on it, especially after the jerk comes back. A cute, fun, easy read! I loved sexy nerd Simon, Australian accents make me swoon! I received this book from the author for an honest review. With that being said I have to say that I enjoyed this book. Eden and Simon are very likable characters and you can't help but root for them in the end. The story was relatable and had me laughing( when Eden took Simon to Outback) and also cringing ( when Eden shouted Simons name) I had to put the book down and walk away for a second because I was embarrassed, I felt like I was Eden and made that terrible faux pas in the bedroom. This book was gave to me by Yolanda to give an honest review. I read it in one afternoon and I liked it. Eden is a strong young female who is confused about how she feels toward her ex and the new man (Simon- a geeky but hot nerd) in her life. She lets herself go with Simon and the relationship progresses quickly. Favorite Quotes- "I look like the Little Heroin Addicted Hooker Clown That Did." "About two hours later, I had enough screwdrivers in me to open my own hardware store." This book was gave to me by Yolanda to give an honest review. I read it in one afternoon and I liked it. I received this as an arc for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book, because of the unconventional pairing Simon is a hot geeky glasses wearing guy and Eden is tattooed rocker chic. It shows that opposites attract. I liked the hot steam scenes and that the book wasn't saturated in sex scenes but there are a few in there to satisfy me. I also liked that this book wasn't overly long and drawn out. I recommend this book to anyone who loves love stories. I received this as an arc for an honest review. I enjoyed this short read. There were a bunch of minor errors but all in all it was good. But I do think that it could have been organized a little better, it felt as if it were missing pieces or it was of order.

There were a lot of grammatical errors to look past. The story seemed rushed and there was no character or story building. I think there was a lot of potential, I would have like to see more of a gradual flow of the story. The look into the future left the story with no resolution. Both main characters had many great attributes I just wish they had been shaped a lot more.
