30 review for Jingle Bugs: A Merry Pop-up Book with Lights and Music

   One of my son's favorite books ever! I've purchased almost every title in this series and have yet to be disappointed by any of them. My 8-year old son requests to read them again and again and again, and now that he's reading on his own - likes to read them to himself. Now that he's older, he is also very careful not to tear the pop-ups, but I've got to admit that there are a few titles we've bought more than once. He probably got his first pop-up book at the age of two - and although the pop-ups One of my son's favorite books ever! He probably got his first pop-up book at the age of two - and although the pop-ups are quite sturdy and made for little hands to enjoy - he did manage to tear a few of them. I think this is inevitable if you want to introduce your child to pop-up books at an early age, and since the pop-up books in this series are reasonably priced - I've been more than happy to replace the ones he was a little "too hands-on" with! What do we like about the pop-ups? Each one is a work of art - you are never disappointed when you turn the page. The pop-ups are cute, colorful, creative, and most of all - FUN. The accompanying text on each page is also good - funny rhymes, silly sayings, and sometimes even a sing-a-long song. Of all the pop-up books we own (and we probably have fifty or more - some dating back to the thirties and forties) these are the ones we enjoy the most. We've also bought several to give as gifts to my son's friends. This particular book makes a perfect gift for the little one in your life. It is one they will want to read over and over and they will squeal with delight each time they get to the last page and see the stars light up on the tree! Our other favorites are those by Robert Sabuda & Matthew Reinhart and there are also some excellent Harry Potter & Star Wars pop-up books if you're a fan of either of those series.

   If it was just me, I would have given this book, one star! I just don't get it.... I know that little ones, and not so little ones, love these books. Me.. not so much! No, not at all! My little girls only gave it two stars as well. And they are four and six. I read it with as much enthusiasm as I could; but they said, it wasn't a three star or higher book! They hardly ever give out two stars... so I know, it wasn't their cup of tea either! They usually love pop-ups, but not this one! If it was just me, I would have given this book, one star!    This book was very adorable. I have a 2 year old and 4 year old and we read this at Christmas and they thought it was awesome. The illustrations are beautiful, the pop ups are fun. The story shows hidden bugs in many different Christmas items, like Christmas lights, presents, the Christmas tree, Christmas cards, etc. I would definitely recommend this if you have little ones.

    This is a great book for little kids at Christmas time. I truly wish I could remember who got it for my son last year so I could thank them for the gift that seems to keep on giving. The only caveat to my delight with this book is that the last pull tab (it's another pop-up book) plays music and this year all he's interested in is playing it over and over and over and over again.     This is a fun rhyming book for preschool or kindergarten students to read around Christmas time. It introduces different types of bugs to students while rhyming them with various things associated with Christmas time. It would be important to introduce other holidays and celebrations in your classroom as well so that you are not only showing preference towards one, such as Christmas.

    This is one of my very favorite books from my childhood. It has such cute jolly bugs that make Christmas fun in a buggy way.
