I've read SO many Three Investigators Books in German , they were my childhood and I still reread them sometimes. They are what hooked me on reading when I was still very young and Jupiters vocabulary taught me a lot of fancy words I used to annoy my classmates with. Good times, I wouldn't exchange those memories for the world. I also really enjoy how the characters grew as the series went on, to the point where they were old enough to drive, which I think is a nice touch. I have to say that as I read more mysteries in this series, I've grown to predict how they will play out and often enough I was right, but honestly if anything that just shows that this series taught me deductive thinking very well. I definitely recommend this series to everyone, whether they be children or adults. I honestly think it's worth it to pick up a couple books of this multiple hundred part series and decide whether you enjoy it.

This was like the first novel series I completed (almost) and I can say I could never have enough of it. Perhaps it was because I was so young or perhaps the detective thingies got my pulse racing, fulfilling my secret wish to myself become a detective, but I just loved it. Well written, pacy plots and a bunch of kids that got into all kinds of troubles and got out of it with such style, I preferred this to the other well-known and more widely-suggested series like the Hardy Boys and the Famous This was like the first novel series I completed (almost) and I can say I could never have enough of it. Well written, pacy plots and a bunch of kids that got into all kinds of troubles and got out of it with such style, I preferred this to the other well-known and more widely-suggested series like the Hardy Boys and the Famous Five (which I for some reason, couldn't get to like, no matter how much I tried). Thanks to the Children's Library that got me into reading novels (strange books without pictures they were to me then!) and hooked me up to this series I thoroughly enjoyed. 4 stars from me!

I read these as a teenager. They were awesome. I would like to read them to my kids but they are out of print.
