Both the good from the past and the not as good in the present. I can't believe how Sho said that he thinks she belongs to him!!! The man is a super egoist and is stupid to boot! The conclusion of the promo clip ended magnificently, with Kyoko shocking everyone with her acting. Kyoko found Ren angry at her again, and also found Moko depressed. She went to investigate what was going on with Moko but ended with more questions than answers. Favorite Series I am so addicted to this manga, I cried when I bought up and now have to wait for the next one. So I felt I should buy it on my kindle even though I can read it for free on the manga site. This is my third time reading the whole thing. Hurry up author I am on the edge waiting to see if she gets the role and if Koyoto and Ten get to act together and a closer scenario.

From the back of the book- Kyoko's perfect chance to wrrak her revnge on Sho isn't going as well as she'd hoped. In fact, her rage is so consuming that she forgets she's supposed to be acting and tries to throttle Sho for real. That's not her only problems. Sho still thinks that he owns Kyoko body and soul, but his manager is worried that Kyoko might be stealing his heart! Review- We finish Kyoko's filming on Sho's music video and she does a great job. She does not let her desire to destroy Sho overcome her, she just does her job to the best of her ability. But Sho has to ruin her happiness in herself when she call Ren to tell him about her job and that she did it for the right reason Sho grabs her phone and acts like a jerk. So Ren is unhappy with Kyoko but does not want to talk to her about it. Then Moko is acting strange and so of course Kyoko has to know what is going on and Maria decides to help her. More crazy high-jinks from Kyoko but she is still growing and becoming more than Sho or herself thought she could be. This volume has little less humor than previous but Kyoko steals the manga with just being herself. I love her so much. I give this give volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

But like previous time let me make a small list, so you know what this review will cover: 路 Kanae having a crisis at work? 路 A major work for Kyoko? 路 Ren Tsuruga is having difficulties? First of all, meet Kanae Kotonami or Moko-san as Kyoko calls her. Who is she? Yes, I do not remember if she appeared in the first review; she is the second member of 鈥淟ove Me鈥 section. Also, she is the one who got cast with Kyoko for her first job on TV 鈥 a soft drink commercial. If you have already read 46 chapters, you know why Kanae refused to take part in Shou鈥檚 PV 鈥 she got a chance to act in a drama. However, nothing is as easy as it sounds. What did happen? Why is that a 11-year-old threatening her with losing her job? That鈥檚 for you to find out. The only thing that I鈥檒l say is that we finally get to know the real Kanae. We meet her family, it鈥檚 a weird bunch, and we can finally see how hard she tries to achieve her dream. We also find the answer as to why she couldn鈥檛 stand Kyoko in the beginning. The bond between two girls deepens, and we are happy for Kyoko, as she finally made her long wished female friend! You鈥檒l be laughing at the stunts Kanae will be doing. And her idea of playing with kids? Hilarious! And don鈥檛 forget that Kyoko will have to use her superpower at some point in her attempt to find out what Kanae likes. But let鈥檚 move on! It鈥檚 time for Kyoko to act in a drama. She is not the main character, but her role is very interesting and hard to play. Was there an audition? No, she was recommended because of Shou鈥檚 PV, or actually because the directors were friends. As Shou鈥檚 PV didn鈥檛 air to contribute to Kyoko鈥檚 popularity. But the role has a catch and if Kyoko can鈥檛 understand her character well, she won鈥檛 be able to play her role well and won鈥檛 be able to surpass the original. I forgot to mention that this drama is a remake? Sorry, sorry. Kyoko will have a tough time coming up with her Mio, but when she finally does; it will blow your mind and you鈥檒l be left shivering! I鈥檒l give you a hint: her character is a young mistress, whose heart is filled with hatred. Kyoko will put this hatred to the extreme and trust me you want to be there to see when she transforms into Mio Hongo! It鈥檚 fantastic! However, not only Kyoko will have problems with her role. Ren Tsuruga will be at a loss, as he can鈥檛 play a man in love! But before that let me tell you a bit about Ren, or actually about his and Kyoko鈥檚 relationship. They started bad, really bad, as Ren didn鈥檛 like that Kyoko was in showbiz for revenge. However, over the time their relationship was getting better, and right now they both need only one push to acknowledge their feelings. Well, Ren already did, but he locked them away, because of his secret. What is the secret, even I do not know it yet. The only person who can read Ren鈥檚 fake smile is Kyoko and their encounters are always fun and interesting to watch. Especially, if Ren is angry and has a radiant smile on his face. Devil Kyoko's are going ballistic at that times. Actually in the most chapters after Kyoko found her Mio, the story is focused on Ren. We get to know him a bit better, there鈥檚 still a lot of mystery around him, especially why he can鈥檛 love anyone at this time. But nevertheless we get to see him from different sides. When Bo aka Kyoko is giving him hints as to what love is, his expressions are just fantastic and you should really see what kind of expressions he makes, but do not forget how he actually came to understand his role! That parts when he sees his feelings for Kyoko are incredible! I鈥檒l be finishing now, but do not worry; more interesting moments await you when you start reading this story. Enjoy it to its fullest and don鈥檛 forget to share your thoughts below. Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos! Don鈥檛 miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading! XOXO Katie

I have actually first watched the anime first (about four years ago) before reading finally it this year. We all are aware that the anime series and the manga have different pacing and there will be a little tweak here and there when it's finally in its anime form and there will always be this kind of cliffhanger especially if it's still an ongoing manga (which is evident in this case). I liked the heroine, Kyoko--all the things that she went through for the man she thought she loves and loved him back went down to the drain: the pain, loss and sense of revenge to get even with the guy. I liked her fierceness...although she's bitter, heck, her bitterness is actually hilarious but pitiful as well. It was fine...but I guess the thing that I have issues with mangas is its slow pacing. Still, I will read it...although not really religiously just like before. When the mood strikes me, I guess. My review is crap, I know.:D And I might use this review again for the other volumes. HEH. Don't hate me. :D

A lot goes on in this volume. Perhaps too much. There are so many plot lines that it doesn't have any particular theme or focus. But that's okay. I loved getting a little bit of everything. The synopsis gives us the impression that Kyoko can't keep her cool acting in Sho's video. That's true at first, but she quickly recovers. She's able to out-act Sho. In a complicated way, Sho's anger at Kyoko leads to Ren believing that Kyoko is happy about her performance because she got some revenge at Sho. And that's not the case at all - she was happy because she was able to get beyond her vengeful feelings. But Ren's misunderstanding causes a rift between them. I find it ironic that Ren is so upset about Kyoko's grudges that he reacts by holding his own grudge against Kyoko. Quite the double standard. A final subplot is Kyoko's attempt to discover what's bothering Moko. Since Moko is now her best friend, they should share everything right? Kyoko can't stand that Moko is hiding her problems, so she becomes a private investigator. Complete with a suit and a sidekick (Maria). The obligatory comic relief act for the volume. Plus it's sets up volume 9.

I enjoy Kyoko's personality, the way she is inexperienced in various things(such as friends, boyfriends, etc.), serious with others(her acting,etc.)..Her relationship with Ren and how she won't admit to her feelings. I also like the turn of events with Sho, how he is now interested in her. I like reading this manga over & over again because it basically shows a young girl who had her heart broken and was stepped on, who gathered up all her anger, her little left hope and decided to get revenge. Along the way she makes friends, experiences new feelings, develops a deep love for her acting which changes things around for her. No matter how many time you get knocked down, you should get back up and fight!!

Third review: I really did like this book. Not only was it funny, but it had a good plot. Kyoko, the main character, wants revenge from her "enemy", Sho Fuwa. She wants to do this by acting. In this volume, she gets that chance. Even so, as she does the scene with Sho, she realizes that she wants to do acting as a career; not using acting as her weapon to destroying Sho's reputation. I think it's because she shot a scene with Sho. Now Tsuruga's manager is trying to figure out why Tsuruga is angry at Kyoko, but I think he already knows. So overall, I think this book was pretty good. I think the author, Yoshiki Nakamura, did a great job creating and drawing the characters. Giving them all a unique personality. It's great that there's also humor in the story. That way it won't be dull. I recommend this book to everyone honestly (At least those who like to read manga). I think it's a great story to read for everyone.

Still not lovin' the romance trope childhood friend thing, but Kyoko's transformation into a more skilled actress, and Sho's role in that change, deserves some points -- grappling with revenge and how to cope with it is difficult and the story allows this struggle to happen. Woohoo!

I really enjoyed this volume because I felt like Kyoko really matured as an actress. Kyoko matured because even though she wanted her revenge on Sho for that promo video she didn't do it. Okay, things are getting funnier... I love how there are layers of comedy in this really interesting story. Kyoko, who is so very funny in her extremes (like when she is trying to hide from Sho). Others, like Ren and his 'gentlemanly smile' and Kyoko's nemesis Sho who only seems to have one facial expression. All of them in their own ways are getting poked fun at by the author. I have to remind myself that they, even Ren, are all really quite young, despite their life experiences. It's all great entertainment! Go Kyoko!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Worst parts - I never did like how Moko was in this book, even if I now know the reasons behind it. She makes Kyoko so sad, though. And the fact that Ren is mad at her is aggravating, even if it's because he's jealous. He shouldn't be. Best part - Ah! I looooove it when she's being the angel that kills the devil! It's one of my favorite parts because Sho is so vulnerable and Kyoko's so great and it's just such a touching scene. -sniffles- Worst parts - I never did like how Moko was in this book, even if I now know the reasons behind it. RESPECT!! Gosh I love how Kyoko pushes through and how Moko is there to help. I mean the whole Ren things so damn sweet but somehow their relationship always turns into some mess by Kyoko saying the wrong thing. Ahhh. *face palm* Their relationship is just complex and twisted. Haha the things Kyoko and Maria do! Ahahaha~ I just how how this manga has it all! If you want a bit of everything, definitely give this a try!

I ordered Skip Beat 3-in-1 Vol. 3 and 4 from Barnes and Nobles, waited forever to arrived so I borrowed Skip Beat Vol. 8 from the library. Skip Beat is truly my favorite. I like how I get to know more of Sho's perspective/feeling toward Kyoko inthis vol. Now I can't wait to get more! Thankfully, my Skip Beat order from Barnes and Nobles arrived today, so I'll be devouring them in a bit! This was such a hilarious series! Kyoko was such a quirky character and was always doing stuff to get into trouble. I liked the transformation of her character throughout the series and how she found out that instead of having to rely on a boy she could make it on her own. There was a love triangle that I also enjoyed very much.
