I read Amy's book (in one sitting) because I'm planning to self-publish my debut YA novel in June of this year. I've been doing a good deal of research on what I'll need to do before release day, but everything was piecemeal. This book is aimed at all writers - self-pubbed, hybrid, traditional, and pre-pubbed - but managed to give me the breakdown of everything I need to do in one place from writing the first word to what to do once my book is released. The writing is straightforward and definitely speaks to the writer. The free, downloadable templates on her website for actually putting the plan in writing are also fantastic. I feel much more in control now. Great job, Amy. And thank you!!

Great guide! Equally informative as entertaining. Amy takes the reader through the basics, the need-to-knows and the pros and cons of the most popular social media sites. Geared for writers, I found this right on point and helped me decide how to divide my day (I wasn't being as productive as I should on anything). I enjoyed the approach and learned a great deal. I'll be referring to it often and recommending as well! Great guide! Equally informative as entertaining. I read this book back-to-back with the author's guide to business plans for writers, and have to say they are a great pair to have handy for reference. This book has a ton of ideas on how to use more effectively and more efficiently the social media you already use, you've heard of but don't or didn't know how to use, and some you may never have heard of. I have to admit that by the time I got to the Other Platforms section, I already knew that those tasks would have to come later. I have to admit that by the time I got to the Other Platforms section, I already knew that those tasks would have to come later. The ideas are presented in an excellent format, with One-time, Every once in a while, and Social Media Barista (expert) items. It's tempting to take a week or three and do everything in the book. However, I made a few notes for immediate implementation, and I'm going to put re-reading, this time with a pack of sticky notes in hand for bookmarks, in my calendar for a month hence. Perhaps most useful of all are the chapters on what social media accessories (Amy calls them tools) are helpful and how to use those as well as how not to. Or the What Works Well Together chapter. Oh, hell, the whole thing is invaluable! If you are an author or other businessperson needing to use social media, get a print copy and keep it on your desk.

Super advice! Yet another fabulous book for writers. Informative and useful. Makes me feel more in control of my writing time. I would definitely recommend the coffee break series to fellow writers.

This book was incredibly helpful for navigating through the social media jumble -- I mean jungle. Written with humor, and plain English, it helped me not only plan my own marketing, I enjoyed learning about it while I was planning it. Thank you, Amy!
