Why? Because they will help you get around the biggest obstacles to locking in and maintaining tactical firearms skills…time and money. These tactics, techniques, and procedures are the very same ones that elite special operations units from around the globe, many with unlimited ammo budgets, use to train beginning and advanced tactics as well as maintain their edge. Who else uses these tactics? Every tactic, technique, and procedure has been designed so that you can learn and refine your tactical firearms skills in the comfort of your own home without wasting precious money on ammo and range time, or wasting time driving to and from the range and cleaning your firearms. Perhaps most importantly, this book will show you how to practice advanced tactical and self-defense skills with a firearm, even if you live (or anticipate living) somewhere that is hostile towards gun owners. Finally, if you've got any new shooters who you want to introduce to shooting, you'll learn how to give them an advanced comfort at arms before they ever fire their first shot. You'll be able to imprint solid fundamentals and muscle memory BEFORE they have a chance to develop any undesirable habits.

This is a short book (100 pages) that you can finish in less than an hour. Someone with extensive firearms training will not learn too much, but most of the tactics and techniques the author presents are very solid. Where this book really shines is in the author's suggested structured practice sessions. He correctly identifies what skills most shooters need to work and devises a practice routine for live fire, dryfire, and airsoft use. Where this book really shines is in the author's suggested structured practice sessions. He correctly identifies what skills most shooters need to work and devises a practice routine for live fire, dryfire, and airsoft use. It isn't anything that most folks who have some training under their belt couldn't dream up for themselves, but it's conveniently done for you here to save you some time. Most shooters would become much better if they followed the practice routines in this book. The only part I don't like is the author's description (and his model's demonstration) of shooting from a retention position. While not as bad as the "speed rock", the author's retention shooting skills need some work. Ignore his advice on shooting from retention, but follow his practice routines! You'll end up a better shooter and tactician.
