This one started slow for me and I was waiting for something that would get me hooked. Finally it happened and I was in to the end. Love this series and it was nice getting to know more about Paris Duncan. Definitely would recommend and want to read or listen to more from the authors.

This is really a prequel to the Family Business series; however, there is a bit of a spoiler if you listen to this story prior to Family Business 1. The best place to read / listen is after Family Business 2, then you don't have the spoiler. This is the story of Paris' "test-run" into her role in the family "business". Just an OK listen on audio book -- 4 out of 10. This is really a prequel to the Family Business series; however, there is a bit of a spoiler if you listen to this story prior to Family Business 1. So I have all of the family business books. This book is supposed to take place in Paris' past. So I am going to reveal my thoughts on characters. Paris: I don't like to deal with spoiled ass brats especially hardheaded ones. Paris I would never be friends. I'd try to beat the shit out of her all the time. Her character is hard for me to read. He is one of the endearing character. He's wild but he has sense. He listens. He may not like it, but he takes it to heart. Okay, so here's my review. Beginning of the book begins in the present when Paris heads to Europe for a friend's wedding where she spots an old enemy. She proceeds to tell her friend the story of the situation between her and the enemy. The book is not written as a reflection as Paris telling a story. It is written as a standard, typical novel. It should've been if you start out a book saying "girl let me tell you what happened." I expect it all to be from Paris' point of view. The story and romance was good. I enjoyed it greatly. I even dreamed of the story. There are a lot of issues going on that keeps the story on its toes. The characters are well written. There were moments in the book that were confusing; so I had to re read the chapter because one sentence thru it off. No sweat since the chapters are small. One thing that was really good was the imagery. I was able to imagine the Spanish farm/countryside, the yacht party and the hotel suites. Like most books from Carl Weber, there was plenty of sex. I am just curious of how Weber knows the sensations if sex from a woman's point of view. My big disappointment was the end. There wasn't a wrap up. Remember at the beginning she was in the airport in the present? Well it should've ended there. Wanted to hear her friend's opinion and whether the enemy saw them or not. Weber could've just tied the story up. Instead he just kills off dude and that's it. No repercussions. No enemy screaming bloody murder. Enemy really didn't fuck up her family as she stated in the beginning of the book. She stopped any issues getting to them in the end. All in all the story was a great read, but it had some glaring (in my opinion) inconsistencies. It is worth the read.

International Love! (3.5 stars) I was more than excited when I heard that my fave Duncan member, Paris, was gonna have her own novel along her twin brother. And unfortunately, I'm...I slick feel let down. Don't get me wrong, the novel is entertaining and good but it didn't give me that Carl Weber feel that I became to love and that made him my #1 fave African American author. Kinda feel like the other author wrote more of this. The ending of the chapters didn't encourage me to read the next...the International Love! Especially not based of the information provided before the "twist" was revealed. The novel was...predictable to me. But that's just my opinion. Even through all of that, I still enjoyed the novel and I would recommend "The Family Business" lovers to read this. Just hope Carl gives me what I've been missing with "The Choir Director 2".

To Paris With Love is the installment in the Family a Business series, which focuses on the baby of the family. Paris is on break from school and ends up in Europe, where she is supposed to be staying out of trouble, but ends up right in the mix of it. She makes a few friends along the way...and one special enemy. Along for the ride is her twin, Rio, who finds himself in some trouble of his own. I enjoyed this book, but was saddened by the ending. Carl Weber has done an excellent job as usual. Live the setting how the story and all the drama, twist and turns that the twist cause in Paris. Great to see that they had excellent skills of there own and was being tested on how good. I would love to see Rio play a ruthless part like the other although he may not be as hard as they are. Love him to death though. Orlando stepped up to the plate for his sister as she hang on to love but lots in the end. Started out a little slow but yet again Mr. Weber and Mr. Pete did not disappoint. I don't know how I'm feeling about that ending though. We already knew Paris was a bad chick from the first 2 books but in this story you got to see a different side of her, a little softer and not just the cutthroat lady who didn't seem to have a heart. This was the story on how Paris became the Paris we love to hate. I liked it. It wasn't as good as the other installments of the Family Business, but the background story was quite interesting. I can see why Paris is the bad chick she is now. It was good to see her without the family all up in her business. Rio cracked me up. The love scenes between Paris and Niles were hot. I wish the ending were a bit different. I plan to read The Family Business 3. This was the story on how Paris became the Paris we love to hate. I liked it. This book was excellent. Carl Weber is my favorite author and "The Family Business" serious is extraordinary. This books gives background on Paris and Rio and how they ultimately became who they are. The only thing I want to know is if Nadja will ever be handled. This book was excellent. I was fighting for the relationship between Niles and Paris. I loved everything about the pair. But to end like this, I'm pissed off. How did Nadja have that much power? And how did I not anticipate the hit on Paris' father, that Nadja ordered? And in that same breath, how did I not anticipate Paris killing Niles before he had a chance to kill her father? I'm annoyed with myself. Overall this was an easy, quick read. I had a couple of issues (hence the reason I didn't give it 5 stars). First, some of chapters consisted of 2 pages. Literally 2 pages. That's not a chapter. Secondly, and this is just a personal preference - but I hate books that jump from character to charcter...every chapter is spoken through a different character. Because what usually happens, once you finish a chapter with one character - the author leaves you hanging and starts up with another character. I hate that. Thirdly, and this is the biggest issue that I had. This book was very graphic. I really did not expect that at all. I felt like I shouldn't have read this book out in public, feeling all judged and what have you...lol. Sex scenes and being on the subway...oh my goodness. I just felt the stares (although I know this was solely in my mind). I will continue with the series, although I'm mad that now I know Niles will not play a role in any of the next books. I'm completely pissed off at this point!

To Paris with Love is a good read. It's outstanding and well written. It's dealing with drama, love and betrayal. Mr. Weber did a good job. He's a good writer and author. Also, Eric Pete did a good job. Nadja is a bad business. She gets mad at Niles because he chooses Paris over her. Nadja and Niles are not together. She plays a dangerous game and she's a dead wrong. I'm looking forward to read The Family Business 3: Return of Vegas. Good job! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ To Paris with Love is a good read. It's outstanding and well written. The book started out a little slow. Paris Duncan is my girlfriend in my head. Very good read I just was very upset with the ending. I loved Paris and Niles together and was looking forward to seeing more of them. I glad that Mr Weber wrote this book, we were able to really see who Paris and Rio really are. Great Read but would you expect anything less!!!!!!!

While this was fast paced it fell short somewhere. It starts with Paris seeing her enemy at the airport then telling her friends what happened. However, it ends without her returning to the present(where she was talking to her friends). This was somewhat Rio's story as well which is okay but really Paris's voice should be dominant.
