I Couldn't Put All Of These Books Down Loved all of the books, many nights I fell asleep reading only to wake up and pick up where I left off. I am so glad that I accidentally hit your book instead of the one that is on Netflix.

Eye-opening This is a gritty, nothing left out accounting of the day to day struggle to survive in a prison that is as violent as any life on the street. I think what I take away from this account is that the only way a person can make it out of a situation like that is to watch their back. But, even more important is that they must have the desire to lead a different life and begin to make the small steps to bring that reality to pass. It would seem there is little help for them within the confines of the prison itself. Thanks to Mr Langohr for sharing his unvarnished account of what he experienced. I think we have to reflect on how to elicit change, or if change is even possible in a system so full of problems, both outside and in. It appears that both staff and inmates expect the status quo and we may have designed a system that neither wish to change because they already know and understand this one. I am left feeling that we have failed miserably.

Brutally honest tale of life behind bars from a man who lived through it. A cutthroat story of racial wars in prisons written by a reformed drug dealer. If you want the fluffy Hollywood tales don't read this book. On the other hand, if you want real, hard-core truth check this out. Glenn Langohr was a force to be reckoned with behind bars and now he's taking that personality and bursting onto the writing scene. From a fellow author's viewpoint, he's making waves in the industry.

A wonderful look inside a women's prison. It is SO much better than the show that was made from it. I really enjoyed this book a lot. Well written, well read (audio) with something important to say.
