Seventh in the Lorne Simpkins series, Virtual Justice is yet another gripping read. In Virtual Justice Lorne is asked to investigate the disappearance of a woman. A pattern soon emerges between murder victims and internet dating sites. The author as usual takes us through a fast paced and gripping ride with one twist that I certainly did not see coming. I loved the mother/daughter bonding going on between Lorne and Charlie. Having read all seven books in the series it's been nice to see Charlie growing up and even though she has been through some tough times it is nice to see the thoughtful woman that she is becoming. Even though readers could easily read Virtual Justice as a stand alone I do think you will miss out on the bonds and relationships between some of the characters. Another great book in a great series!

Virtual Justice is absolutely the best novel in the Justice Series. This indicates that the author's ever superb writing skills are always getting better and better with each novel. Ms Comley is really phenomenal and I don't know how she manages to weave together such brilliant, original plots which always end up in mind boggling, astonishing finales. In Virtual Justice, users of Internet dating sites are falling preys to a killer who lures them to a first date with him . A woman approaches P.I. Lorne Warner to help her find her missing twin sister. After a few days the missing woman turns up dead. With the help of her ex partner DS Katy Foster, Lorne begins her investigation which quickly becomes more complicated as more bodies including a male victim turn up. Could the killer be a woman? or Are there more than one lurking predators? I have read somewhere that this would be the last Justice novel, but I really am hoping that this is not true. I encourage Ms Comley to keep on entertaining us with more adventures involving Lorne and the other wonderful characters. Thank you Ms Comley for all the amazing Justice series !!

This has become one of those series of book's where i just can not wait for the next one. Each one has just gotten better and better, and i know i have said it before but i didn't think it could get better. This is the seventh book in the Justice series and although find the characters flat and the plot predictable I can't stop reading them as the bottom line is they are very readable and require zero brain power which is perfect reading in between intense novels. I haven't had the chance to read the series but I must say, the book is impressive. The characters are portrayed so well and there lies a strong substance to get a grip of the problems encountered and the most dark corners of the unseen world. My first exposure to this author and series. Maybe it is because it's #7 and I'm jumping in late but I thought it was average. While knowing more about the characters background from earlier books may have had me appreciate this more, it didn't hamper my ability to follow. It's an easy read, but I didn't find it to be a page turner and there was one sentence that tipped off the ending- to me anyway. I'm not inclined to invest in reading the balance of the series. A ‘Virtual’ Good Read The Justice series (Lorne Simpkins series in Goodreads) continues with Lorne Simpkins Warner now retired and working as a PI, although her continuing police friends are all still present. The premise of this mystery is scarily possible and could open a few peoples eyes (no spoilers). As always, a quick and satisfying read.

This is my favourite book in the series so far. I was on the edge of my seat from the start due to all the tension in this book. Makes you stop and think about online dating and how people can hide behind a computer. This book was hard to read but even harder to put down!

On line dating sounds too scary for me I was impressed with this story and not too much for Lorne to handle. She is a busy body and can never reflex. Animals are sensitive to humans and know how we feel. I have experienced that before. Great nook

Here it is , "However, it makes no odds to me if you go in there or not. However, what does matter to me is that I get my sister back. I don't want to keep walking on eggshells around you. None of us do." This quote tells me that Lorne really love her sister and she would do anything to make sure she is happy. This to me, is very touching. Although I have not read the first #6 book of the Justice series, I can relate well that this book's setting is in the modern world with lots of international crime and mystery. Lorne and her husband role as private investigators added lots of twists and turns for this #7 series, Virtual Justice. It captures the dark side of human crime in a simple to read manner. I like it very much. As for the character, Lorne....She is rather a capable lady juggling time to take care of the family, his handicapped husband and at the same managing his private investigator agency. She is resourceful, attractive, loving and smart. She is one of those modern woman that truly displayed great guts and wits. I bet she is those beauty with the brains. This book truly made me think twice about women. As for the plot of this book, it is about a woman gone missing. They were asked by the sister to help her find this missing person. A turn of events led them to multiple murder cases, and to a online dating site. Without giving too much away, the author displayed is really a great storyteller, and able to lead readers to ups and downs of an investigation process. It is truly entertaining. This book is a great book with lots of surprises, twists. This book is great for people who like about solving crime. If you like mystery and thriller like what I like to write, you'll definitely get lots of entertainment and enjoyment out of this Justice series. If you like : - Andrew E. Kaufman's Darkness Shadows - Gillian Flynn's Sharp Objects - Michael Prescott's Comes the Dark you'll definitely get lots of entertainment out of this novella series! If there's one thing I'd change about this book, it would be to create the image that Lorne more vividly and also to develop more scenes towards catching the real murderer. But, overall, I like the style of this author even though this is my first time reading her book. This book looked great on my Kindle app on my iPad. It has good formatting and layout. When I reviewed the last one of this series I said it was the least favourite for me but this one is worse. I read it all and quickly (as they're getting shorter as well) but she has definitely changed her style and not for the good, sadly. There are a couple more to come and I love the characters and know them now so I'll probably stick with it but it's a real shame to see them so rushed and changed. One of the victim's sister was maybe one of the vaguest characters ever....she knew nothing abou When I reviewed the last one of this series I said it was the least favourite for me but this one is worse. One of the victim's sister was maybe one of the vaguest characters ever....she knew nothing about anything and I was glad she wasn't in it for too long as she was irritating me beyond belief. She also said her sister had had issues with a past boyfriend a few years ago when we'd already been told they only split up a year ago !! Some passages were a little 50 Shades'ish and not for me and in parts it came across as a bad teen romance....it's like the author had regressed !! I found it totally unbelievable that Lorne, a seasoned ex-police officer would have to "think" briefly about who Brady and Hindley were as well !! Or that her and Katy would take a night off mid-investigation and let someone else get killed in the meantime. Not very conscientious and not the behaviour of the woman who features in most of these books.....before the style altered. There were a couple of apostrophe mistakes and swatting was used where swotting should've been, speechmarks were missing a few times as well. Then creek was written as creak (ouch)but they were all the mistakes I happened across. However, she needs to pack in starting other new series, I think, and concentrate on bringing this one back to the great standard it was in the past.

Mel Comley. 7th in series Virtual Justice The problem with this series of books is that 5 stars is not enough praise for the justice books. Really enjoyed Virtual Justice - especially as I found it had a new take on the series. As a reader, i felt like I was more privy to the killers - their actions, conversations and feelings. That was really interesting, it was like two parallel stories running alongside each other. Lorne and Katy frantically searching for answers, while the readers are let in on the "behind-the-scenes" actions of the killers... Not all of course, and M.A Comley writes with great suspense. This series just keeps getting stronger. I really enjoyed this, a good twist on serial killers, although slightly scary. And of course, quite a bit of focus on the dogs, which I really like. It was nice to have Carol's involvement too, I like her character. Very good twist at the end, which I sort of saw. Looking forward to the next one. This series just keeps getting stronger. Book 7 of the Justice Series, once again another good book. I have found this series intriguing with the difference of how the British go about the way the solve crimes, the idea that they are not allowed to arm themselves, finds this American stupefied. Mel really knows how to catch the readers interest and make this book impossible to put down until the end.
