Fairy Circles: Tales of Giants, Dwarfs, Fairies, Water-Sprites, and Hobgoblins, edited by Villamaria, was first published by Marcus Ward & Co, Belfast in 1877. I downloaded my copy from Project Gutenberg. It is a surprisingly readable tale with a different story in each chapter, but the stories sometimes continue from the chapter before, or they use the same characters in a different setting, so there is continuity. The illustrations are beautifully done and appear throughout the book. If you are an adult who likes fantasy, you may be intrigues by these as was I.

Lovely collection of stories! Some are sad, some are happy, but none are disappointing! If you are interested in old fairy tales of Germany, Iceland, Norway etc you will enjoy this book
