This needs another update The book itself isn't a bad list of apps, but it badly needs another upgrade. Reading through the first 10 apps listed, the book tells me that the Kindle Fire doesn't come with a calendar function or a microSD slot. That may have been true in 2012, when the title was originally released, but my 2015 model arrived with both. It wouldn't take much polishing to update those minor yet important details, which would make this book more useful. Decent amount of information for beginners. This is a good guide for beginners to Android and Kindle Fire. There are plenty of apps to get started with in this guide. For those who are interested in customizing their Kindle Fire's inner workings. I would suggest books which emphasized more on apps and methods to help make your tablet uniquely you. Slightly out-of-date Still has many useful apps, but some are no longer compatible with Kindle Fire. Additionally, the introduction promised directions on side-loading apps, but I saw no sign of that information in the book. Of course, that information can easily be found elsewhere online, but the text should be updated to better reflect the contents.

Had a good read ! Although the content may seem dumb, it is a good way to obtain what you want without having to search and search.
