Tired of falling for charismatic people who end up walking all over you? Tired of crying yourself to sleep, alone, yet again, and you have no idea what you did wrong this time? There are many ways we manipulate each other in our lives. It's a survival of the fittest world. However, at some point, most of us want to settled down and enjoy a life with a mate and some sort of family. We build towards a future, a home, plan for vacations, work through challenges and coast into our golden years. Well, sure, some people get to live the dream. Sometimes it takes trial and error. We learn how to give and take and compromise as we get older. Most of us... There are some who will never grow up. They remain stuck as a teenager or a child, demanding things their way at any cost. Sometimes these people are hard to spot. This is because they build up a facade before revealing their true colors. They come from all walks of life with all sorts of schemes. But one trait they share is that they love to lie. Even if there's nothing to lie about, they'll lie. It's a sport, a game. They can have secret lives, secret lovers, secret children and you'll never know. This little book gives a few warnings signs about pathological liars and also provides insight into trusting ourselves. At the end of the day, only you can take of you. First you need to recognize that you're in a game to begin with before you can get yourself out of it. How many lies are too many for YOU?

I thought this book was very good. It was an easy read, and there were several places in the book that I felt my heart racing, because it was just what I experienced. I had never heard of the term "gaslighting", but now certainly have a whole new education in it. Really stunning to read this book and learn your just another disposable person to them...no matter who you are. I thought this book was very good. Great book! This book was very resourceful. After, experiencing lies in previous relationships it was informative. Trusting your instincts about a person will safe you from heart ache and pain.

"One of the reasons narcissists can’t be cured relates to the fact they likely don’t believe they have a mental illness or they waste time by mirroring the therapist or gaslighting [them] instead of actually 'working.'" "Lying is a personality trait." It even names and describes the 3 stages I made up yesterday. Sure wish I'd stop reading books I just wrote idk. Same dumb idiosyncratic dialect and everything. Only me and this Dickensian author would call abuse "behaving poorly". Thanks for that t "One of the reasons narcissists can’t be cured relates to the fact they likely don’t believe they have a mental illness or they waste time by mirroring the therapist or gaslighting [them] instead of actually 'working.'" Thanks for the last section directed at the reader solely devoted to "you deserve respect/if YOU loved someone would you lie to them? rhetoric.

Don't buy this book. You can find more information from websites I have read websites that offer more information than this book. The title is wrong. It didn't even address how you can spot a pathological liar. Don't buy this book. You can find more information from websites I have read websites that offer more information than this book. Painful truth! Sometimes we need to hear the truth about lies and deception. Even though it hurts, we can be spared a lot more pain if we will listen to the facts. Well written!
