Some good some bad The books contained in this set ranged from the very good to the very bad. I especially liked inadvertent disclosure and the halo effect. However, several of the stories needed a serious dose of reality as the authors took several liberties with their characters behaviour. Other than that and a little bit of bad storytelling, this book set is well worth the time and money.

Nine full books for the price you can't beat. I enjoyed all but the eighth which I found tedious and totally ridiculously unbelievable even for supernatural fiction. While the plot was novel, its execution was simplistic. The main character, Jake, was a clueless idiot without any depth. There was no explanation why he was the chosen one. Several times I considered not finishing this particular book but kept thinking it had to get better. It didn't and the ending was just as ridiculously simplist Nine full books for the price you can't beat. I am thrilled that I made this purchase. I enjoyed the book by Miller but also all of the other books as well. Great read I was very impressed by the quality of writing by these 9 authors. When I purchase a book with so many novels I just assume 1 or 2 of them will be worth reading, but I was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed reading each one of them. They are an interesting mix of story lines and character development.
