If you're looking for a break from the typical alpha heroes that you'd find in books lately, then you really need to meet Flynn Foley. Flynn will definitely remind you that the sweet nice guys can still make you just as swoony as the bad boys, and certainly be just as sexy. The chemistry between Flynn and Aubrey was off the charts hot. Even though things heat up between them pretty early in the story, it never felt rushed. maybe because they already had a back story that was set up in the previous book of the series. I have to say that something about Flynn came as an absolute shock to me as a reader. I'll spoiler it here in case you want to be surprised, though I can't say it's a major spoiler (just not something you'd find in the book's blurb). Flynn is a (view spoiler)[virgin (hide spoiler)] . Yes, that's right. You read that correct. (view spoiler)[A 25 year old, football golden boy virgin (hide spoiler)] . I'll give you a moment to take that in... Now I'm a reader that prefers my heroes to be super alpha bad boys. It's a certain...ummm...preference. Not sure if they have therapy for this sort of thing, but hey, it is what it is. So when I first found out that particular tidbit, it was a little off putting for me. I mean (view spoiler)[it just doesn't seem realistic that a 25 year old man, a quarterback who has women basically throw themselves at him, would remain a virgin in this day and age. (hide spoiler)] If you're anything like me, I'd advise you to keep reading. Really. Because the author truly makes you believe it. Not only that, but she makes you understand it as well. I'm so glad that I gave it a chance because Fynn was equal parts sweet and sexy. He really won over my heart not even 15% into the story. Aubrey was a great heroine as well. After my mild dissapointement with the second book in this series, I was really happy to see it finish off strong with a fantastic couple. The epilogue was lovely as well. All that being said, I did find it a little too "sweet" for my personal tastes. I suppose it was missing that certain "Brazen" feel for me? I'm not really sure why. It definitely did deliver on the sexy. I think this is just one of those personal tastes things and nothing at all to do with the book. If you're a fan of sexy contemporary romance, then I would highly recommend you read it. Especially if you enjoyed the previous two books. That being said, you can also easily read it as a standalone as well. I've read the previous two books, but my poor puny brain remembered pretty much nothing. So it was basically me going in blind even though I've kept up with the series. I never once felt lost. A wonderful conclusion to the series :) ARC courtesy of publisher in exchange for an honest review For more reviews visit

3.5 - All this faking was fun until someone got hurt. Stars. The Game for It series has been a mixed bag for me. We started with the good, in book one with Game for Marriage, the bad with book two Game for Trouble, thankfully book three Game for Tonight is definitely not ugly. Karen bought this series back with a really great finale. The two have always felt something for each other but with the No fraternization policy, they have never acted on it. When she got near Flynn, she simply… felt. Everything. If you read and loved the first book in this series, you are likely to love Flynn and Aub’s story as well, it follows very similar themes. I loved that Nick, Willow, Jared and Sheridan featured in Game for Tonight as well, and the Willow we see in this story is a vast improvement on the Willow of book 2. ”It was real for me, too. Every bit of it.” This is a really great ending to what has in the most part been a really enjoyable series. I have admired Karen Erickson’s writing for a while now and I am willing to admit that after disliking the second book so much I was nervous to start this one, but she has completely restored my admiration in her, with this enjoyable and easy to read conclusion to the Game for It series. 2 stars! ** The third instalment in the series was my least favourite. I couldn't connect with the main characters and it was shallow and without depth. No character development, cliché plot, rushed love story with a lot of sex but not much talking or doing anything that could actually create such a "big love". Flynn is Hawk's QB but he only warms the bench. Not because he isn't good, but because Jared Quinn (Game for Marriage) is the star of the team. Flynn is Hawk's QB but he only warms the bench. Not because he isn't good, but because Jared Quinn (Game for Marriage) is the star of the team. There are rumors about him - that he's still virgin, that he only concenrates on the game. Aubrey is the team's publicist. She's wanted Flynn for a long time but because of the team's policy she hadn't act on it. Now she's tired of fighting her attraction to him and is ready to get him where she wants him. Into her bed. And she does. She takes his virginity (yeah, the rumors where true) and expect that her life will go on like it has until this moment. But a papparazzi catches them and team's other publicist has some ideas how to gain the most of this situation. He treathens to fire Aubrey if she doesn't date Flynn and if she does date him, the publicist promises her a promotion. Guess what she chose? I found this book boring. Maybe it's because I've read tens of books with similiar theme. But I don't think that I would have liked it even if it was original and unique. I know nothing about the characters. Except of their bodies. And how their "relationship" progressed. That's all. There was no insight about their lifes or about their pasts. We don't know why Flynn was virgin until now (I think that there was once sentence about it, but it didn't really explain anything). And the whole virgin thing? How realistic is that? He's twenty five, woman throws themselves at hima at daily basis and he's still a virgin? Let's say that it's possible.. Why does he give it up to someone he barely knows? Because she's hotter than others? Because he wasn't supposed to do it and the forbidden fruit tastes the best?.. It was rushed and their love was like a switch. Just like someone flicked it in the middle of the book and that was all. There wasn't even any big love decleration. If I decided to skip a few lines I would have missed it. Most of the time I felt like Aubrey really was with Flynn only because she wanted that promotion and Flynn was with her because she was his first one and didn't know any better. And when he finds out about it she changes her mind and she loves him. I really don't know how they could love each other. They've known each other for a while yes, but I never really talked or were friends until they slept together. And then they were having nonstop sex . And if they weren't sleeping with each other, they were doing their own stuff. But what I liked was that there was a bit of Jared and Sherridan from GAME FOR MARRIAGE. Those two belong to my favourite couples and I was glad to see them again.

Why have I not read any of the books from this series before? Now I know what I've been missing, I will be reading the previous books ASAP!! "Game for Tonight" was my kind of book. It had everything that I love: Passion, chemistry, drama, and some smoking hot sex scenes!!! I was consumed by this story right from the very beginning and I absolutely loved it!!! I loved Aubrey and Flynn. They were instantly likable characters and I found it really easy to connect with them, especially Aubrey. She was as sweet as sugar. A truly nice girl but unfortunately she had no luck in the love department. Working as a publicist for The Hawks American Football Team, she had spent quite some time with a secret crush... a crush on one of the hottest members of the team, Flynn Foley. Finally, with the help of a little alcohol, Aubrey found the courage to make a move on Flynn. This girl was on a mission and she was not going to take no for an answer. She wanted to be reckless. Throw caution to the wind and indulge in Flynn for just one night. Now Flynn, I fell hard for this guy!! He was just gorgeous, Mr Perfect in my eyes. The guy could do no wrong. Flynn was sexy, caring, and had spent his life dedicated to football. He was one of the good guys. He had also been lusting over Aubrey so when she made her move, there was no way he was going to turn her down. Tonight, he was finally going to get Aubrey to himself. Find out exactly what she liked, teach her what he liked, and then they could get to liking each other all night long. He couldn't freaking wait. What followed was a steamy night of passion that almost set my kindle on fire. Flynn had all the right moves and I was insanely jealous of Aubrey. But what would happen after their one night together? "You need to understand something about me, Aubrey. When I commit to something, I'm all in." I loved Aubrey and Flynn together. I adored watching their relationship develop. They made such a cute couple and Flynn made my heart flutter with the way he treated Aubrey. He truly cherished her. Flynn wore his heart on his sleeve, there was no doubt about how strong his feelings were for Aubrey. She was one lucky girl. As the story continued, I began to feel frustrated with how things were going between Aubrey and Flynn and I found myself on the edge of my seat, hoping that things would work out between the pair. With Aubrey being blackmailed by her boss I knew that there was going to be trouble ahead and I became increasingly worried about what would happen. My emotions were all over the place. I truly wanted an happy ending for this couple. They were too good together for things not to work out between them. "I played the most important game of my life today, but it doesn't matter unless I know I have you by my side. You're everything to me, my entire world." "Game for Tonight" was a brilliant, sexy read and it gets ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ from me!

Game for Tonight is the 3rd book in the “Game for It” trilogy by Karen Erickson. Unfortunately for both Flynn and Aubrey, there is a paparazzo outside Flynn’s home the morning after and catches Aubrey leaving. Thus begins a fake romance to keep the Golden Boy’s image from being tarnished and becoming tabloid fodder. The first book was good and fun. The second book – not so much. With the third book, Karen Erickson is able to finish the trilogy on a positive note. Though not as good as the first book, the third is definitely better than the second. Had there been a little more depth to the characters, this would have been rated equal to Game for Marriage. Rating: 3

He’s a big, handsome football player and he’s also a warm and sensitive guy. Aubrey is ambitious and hardworking and football is just as important to her as it is to Flynn. Aubrey loves her job, but she worries she may be fired if she dates Flynn, because there is a company policy against employees dating each other. Flynn also has concerns. I actually read the first two books in the Game for It series two and a half years ago. For whatever reason at the time, I decided not to read Game for Tonight, but had it on my to-read list - because who doesn't want to read about a pro football player who is a virgin?!?! So when it popped up in one of the several emails I get daily with Kindle deals, I decided to download it and complete the series. I'm not sure what happened with this book for me. Perhaps I have different standards now (who knows HOW many books I've read since I read the first two books). Perhaps it's that I've figured out I'm not a fan of the fake relationship trope. Whatever the reason, this book just didn't work for me and took a whole week to read. Even if I'm super busy - which I am right now - that's unheard of for me! My problem with the fake relationship trope is that too much time is usually spent in the character's heads. We have to read too much about how the hero and heroine like/love each other, but it won't ever work. I want to see them interacting with each other, talking things out! In this case, the hero and heroine had already spent a night together before Aubrey is told she needs to make it look like she and Flynn are dating. They've already admitted their attraction to each other, they already like each other. Them dating isn't so hard to believe. There is the whole "we can't date because it's against company policy" (which I think would have actually made for a better plot for this couple) - but that was blown off by the boss with little fanfare. I couldn't understand why Aubrey didn't just tell Flynn what her boss told her. Well, other than we wouldn't have a book otherwise... If you want to read a book that does the fake relationship trope right, read The Catching Kind by Bria Quinlan - where the couple doesn't know each other at all, are thrown together for the benefit of publicity, don't like each other much at all when they start out, but then get to know each other and fall in love. THAT fake relationship worked for me! Not one where the relationship has already started, and neither of them really wants out anyway. That being said, I liked the characters - especially the hero. Flynn is focused completely on football, to the detriment of having relationships with women. But his career is not going quite the way he wants, and when he discovers Aubrey is as attracted to him and he is to her, he decides to toss away his previous convictions that women are nothing but a distraction and spend the night with her. Pictures of her leaving his house early the next morning put his squeaky clean image at risk, which "necessitates" damage control by the PR team. (Which again, I'm not totally buying - he's in his mid-to-late twenties, so yeah, maybe it's a big deal for him to finally be with a woman, but so what?!?!) The writing was solid in this book. It's always good to read about a hero who goes against the grain of what is usually offered up in today's books. Maybe if I had stayed in the San Jose Hawks football world and read about Flynn right away I would have liked this book better. But I just wasn't buying the plot. There were too many things that didn't make sense to me, which made it really hard to like.

Remember me?  Football girl! I LOVE this series.  This series is so solid for me, all 3 books are GREAT and frankly, I did not want this to be the last book.  But I guess if you're going to end it, ending it on a virgin football player, isn't a bad way to go. Oh, I hear you....a virgin football player?  Let me tell you, it's refreshing and you will LOVE Flynn.  It's a nice change of pace to read a male MC that issn't a man whore.  But don't let that deter you, Flynn has been so focused on his foot Remember me?  Football girl! Oh, I hear you....a virgin football player?  Let me tell you, it's refreshing and you will LOVE Flynn.  It's a nice change of pace to read a male MC that issn't a man whore.  But don't let that deter you, Flynn has been so focused on his football career, he has always felt like a relationship, much less sex, would be a distraction.  Flynn iss truly a student of the game and is concerned that a woman will break his concentration and possibly compromise his athletic performance.  That's not to say he hasn't done...anything.  So he isn't a complete freak of nature. ;) Enter Aubrey, publicist extraordinaire and this woman has a rip roaring raging crush on Flynn. He also made Aubrey's toes curl every time he so much as looked her way.  A rather difficult thing to ignore, considering she was his publicist and worked with him all the time.  As in, she had to stare at that handsome face and listen to that deep, delicious voice all the time, too.  Which in turn led to her curling-toe affliction and the rapid development of her mad, crazy crush.   The thing is, the attraction is completely mutual and undeniable.  Flynn began to wonder if there more to life than being a back up quarterback... When these two finally give in to their attraction, FIREWORKS!  From the very first kiss, I was completely sold on Aubrey and Flynn. Aubrey was completely surrounded by a warm, big muscular man, and it felt so incredibly good to be in Flynn's strong arms.  He was kissing her as if his life depended on it, and she buried her fingers in his hair, holding him close.   Once Flynn gets a taste of the fantastic lovin' that Aubrey serves up, he feels the need for MORE.  They both have personal and professional issues to wrestle with that certainly didn't help make things any easier.  They each have a parent that is a pain in the ass and that doesn't help. Ok- I truly enjoyed this book and this whole series and that's the best I can give you out of my very tired brain :)  Although, I'd still love more from this series because I love every single one of these books.         Purchase Game for Tonight : Amazon //B&N  This review was originally posted on Straight Shootin' Book Reviews

Karen Erickson made this Texas gal who really can’t stand the game of football fall head over heels in love with her players and the team. I absolutely loved this couple whose relationship was taboo due to them both being employed by San Jose Hawks. There was something really special about how they had danced around each other for so long until one finally decided it was time to make a move and consequences be damned. A back-up quarterback who is way too good to be warming the bench, a publicist who suspects he won’t be around much longer and an attraction that burns so brightly everyone around them can see it makes this one fantastic little book. In the last book of this series we met publicist Aubrey Cooper who had a tough job of keeping a player in line and helping him make over his reputation. I’m going to admit that I really loved her character and the fact that she was able to wrangle Nick Hamilton somewhat into submission. Aubrey is smart (to be honest way smarter than her jerk boss), resourceful, and tough. She’s always played by the book, always done the right thing but when her ex-fiancé announces his engagement and the man she wants but knows she shouldn’t is close by and more than likely going to be leaving the team at the end of the year she decides to take a chance. Flynn Foley is one of those rare professional athletes who actually has a clean image and he likes it that way. Flynn only has one thing on his mind, playing football and playing it to the best of his ability and his ability is very, very good. As back-up quarterback on a team with an excellent quarterback his playing time has been limited which frustrates him and he knows that sooner or later probably sooner he’ll be traded. When his publicist the woman who he’s been attracted to from day one asks for a night with him he decides to finally let go and do something just for him. The world needs more professional athletes like Flynn, men who can be very good role models for young men today. There was something special and sweet but oh so sexy about these two together and yes part of it has to do with the fact they’d kept their attraction to themselves for a long time, part of it is Flynn’s good boy image, and part of it is just the fact that they seem to fit together. I liked that even early on they already had feelings for one another although they refused to admit it, but it was obvious they both admired the other very much which lead to a different level of trust between them. I would have easily given this book 5 stars had it not been for a strange ultimatum delivered by the team’s management when their relationship is brought to light. For me it just didn’t seem to “fit” correctly into the plot but I overlooked it for the most part because I loved this couple so much. The football scenes especially the final one were well written and had me on the edge of my seat; give the nature of the game, the reason for Flynn playing, and the fact that Aubrey was unflappable in the wake of it all made it that much better. Game For Tonight is a spectacular ending to a very strong series and as sad as I am to see this series come to an end, I can’t wait to see what Ms. Erickson comes up with next.

"Instead of thinking so much, maybe we should relax and just...let things happen." When they throw caution to the wind for one night, it has repercussions they did not see coming. Next thing they know they are strongly encouraged to continue the relationship for the media's sake. They are two people that are now in a situation that has potential to be really good or a big disaster especially since both parties are not quite aware of all of the finer details. At a time when he really needs to be focusing on his career, he is caught up in a media circus, rumors of him being traded, and secrets. And she is going along for the ride all the time feeling guilty, but powerless to fix it. Is it fake? Real? A novelty? When some people are pushing them together, others are pushing them apart. But with their jobs on the line and confusing feelings and not quite full disclosure, will they stay the media darlings or end up as the next big break up story? This was a sweet, sexy story with likable characters. Flynn was just plain adorable and charming. A big, strong, sensitive, loving, protective hero with an endearing innocence to him as well. He was not well versed in sex and relationships, so it was fun to see him jump in and explore being in one. Aubrey was cute and likable too, but she frustrated me a bit with her secrets. Together they had chemistry, but were also very compatible and generally nice people who usually were usually in control and rational about everything. But they made each other feel, lose control, and learn to live for more than work. Together, they were slightly out of control, and he was loving every f***ing minute of it." When she got near Flynn, she simply...felt. Everything. Not smart. Reckless wasn't her style, but that's exactly how he made her feel. I liked getting both points of view and seeing their worries, fears, and feelings. And I enjoyed more with Nick and Willow (Game for Trouble) who were good friends to this couple, and also Jared and Sheridan (Game for Marriage). It was fun seeing their progression, as well as how they supported Flynn and Aubrey. I enjoy books about football players and this series is all fast paced, steamy, and fun. It has characters that you can't help but like and stories that draw you in with just enough angst to keep you interested. I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Let me tell you this book was hot (maybe a little too much, nah that's not possible). I mean it almost starts in the bedroom. Some might think it is a little bit quick, but Flynn and Aubrey knew each other for quite a long time… I first encounter Flynn in the first installment of the Game for it series (Game for Marriage). Some might think it is a little bit quick, but Flynn and Aubrey knew each other for quite a long time… I first encounter Flynn in the first installment of the Game for it series (Game for Marriage). I was kind of mad at him because he was somehow stealing the spot of the main character the Star Quarterback Jared Quinn. However, he was sweet and I could not hate him. I don’t really remember Aubrey (don’t know if she was in this book). I am sure she was in Game for Trouble (Game for it #2), but I did not read it. As a lot of you, I like my book-boyfriends to be hot, sexy, and kind of an alpha male with a bit of bad boy/caveman attitude. Although Flynn is sweet and respectful, he is also hot and possessive, and (view spoiler)[ he can swear, yep that's true ! lol (hide spoiler)] . He is good in the sack despite being a 25 year old pro football player virgin. Yeah, I said it, but it is no secret (it was revealed really early in the book, first or second chapter I recall). (view spoiler)[ Their story? Like in the first book kind of a fake relationship, but not really. They are both aware, even though Aub was kind of blackmailed into it (but let’s face it, she is so happy to be in a relationship with him. She crushed on him for so long!!! She is just concerned he won’t like to know what’s in for her). Although I really like the book, I was disappointed to not see their relationship getting stronger. I mean, they both said they had some deep talks, but we didn't witness them (apart from the bedroom action and their chemistry, we don't see much of the two of them together ;( ). (hide spoiler)] I really like ready this book. It was quick and enjoyable.

So, I admit I went into reading this with some reticence as book #2 in the series just didn't do it for me. And, whilst this has a storyline of a similar vain to the first book, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and Karen Erickson has brought us a couple to love. 10% in and I was already falling in love with Flynn Foley; bicep bulging, sweet natured, under-played but talented (on and off the field) Quarterback, who has one doozy of a surprise. “You sure look pretty waiting for me, lying there nake So, I admit I went into reading this with some reticence as book #2 in the series just didn't do it for me. You’re going to join me, right?” With a chemistry filled with heat, understanding and sweetness, Flynn and Aubrey were perfect together. She's no wallflower and whilst fairly confident, she was completely endearing with it. I love to see a man fall hard and Flynn plummets, as does Aubrey, but it's not without its dramas. And with characters from the previous books featuring, particularly Nick and Willow, Karen Erickson has ended the series on a sexy high note. Of the three, this has been my favourite. So if you don’t like football, or sports in general, don’t let that turn you away from the book. This book is a part of a series, but I have not read the previous two books and it doesn’t take away from this story. However, it does make me want to read the other two. It is a really good story and if you are craving a good Contemporary romance with a happily ever after, this is a great book for you. You will recognize familiar faces if you have read the previous two books, but it is not necessary to have read them to enjoy Game for Tonight. While I liked some things about this book, there were things I just didn't click with in this one. Game for Tonight left me with mixed feelings, and I ended up thinking this book was just okay. Aubrey Cooper has had a thing for back-up quarterback Flynn Foley since he joined the Hawks. But with their strict no dating company policy, she has never been able to make a move since she is the publicist for the team. But when word starts getting around that Flynn might be traded, she decides to take a shot. They end up spending a passionate night together, and the press catches her leaving his house late that night. With photos of the virgin golden boy out, they have no choice but to pretend that they are a real couple in order to protect both of their careers. But Flynn and Aubrey are starting to develop real feelings and soon both are beginning to wonder what the end of the season will mean for their relationship. And what happens when Flynn finds out that the whole fake relationship was actually their boss's idea to begin with and that he was basically blackmailing Aubrey into pretending? I thought that Aubrey and Flynn were both good characters, but I honestly never connected with them. Flynn was known as the golden boy of the team. His entire life focus until Aubrey had been football. He was a sweet and nice guy virgin, and I was glad that he was different from most of the characters that seem to be the heroes for contemporary romance stories. But to me, he was almost too much of a good guy. While he was likable, he wasn't super sexy or alluring to me. I wanted him to be a bit more cocky. There is just something about a man that knows what he is doing and shows his confidence without being a total jerk, and Flynn just wasn't that guy to me. Aubrey was smart and a bit shy. She had wanted Flynn for awhile but for multiple reasons had never pursued anything with him. I will say that her actions were confusing to me. She liked him and wanted him, and yet she kept putting an end date on things. Aubrey and Flynn were cute together and had some chemistry, but I was just never invested in their relationship and I didn't really care one way or the other about them. My biggest issue with this story was that I didn't understand the circumstances surrounding the fake/kind of real relationship between Aubrey and Flynn. Why wasn't Aubrey trying to make things real when that is what she had wanted the whole time? Plus the blackmail thing just didn't work for me for the same reason. Why would someone need to blackmail her into a relationship that she already wanted? And why not just tell Flynn what was going on? If she really cared about him and liked him then started to actually fall in love with him, her actions just didn't make sense to me. I also felt like this book just didn't have the steam that I am used to for a Brazen novel as well. I wasn't really feeling the heat between them, and most of this book seemed to be centered on all the drama surrounding their relationship rather than them actually having one. While I did find Flynn's character refreshing, this wasn't my favorite from Karen Erickson. **ARC Provided by Entangled Publishing**

Karen Erickson gives us another hot football player, though this one comes with a twist…..and it's not something you read every day. It was refreshing and an interesting twist. Flynn Foley is star on the rise, if only he could get some more field time. Even though he’s not the starting quarterback for the Hawks he trains like he is and has a laser like focus on his training and goals. Nothing can break that focus, no distractions mean no women, few parties and a clean lifestyle. That is till his publicist makes a play for him at a party and things go from professional to personal very quickly. Aubrey Cooper is the assistant publicist for the Hawks, has just found out her ex-boyfriend has moved on via Facebook and is about to break the no dating policy that her company has by tracking down Flynn for a kiss at least. She’s heard the rumours about him, it’s her job too. But come on, he’s really a virgin? Well she’s about to break the rules so why not find out once and for all. When a night of passion that neither one will ever forget becomes public knowledge and they both are hauled in for questions by the bosses, a plan is devised to make the owner happy. One that involves them “dating” for real. Just til the season is over, for the media’s sake. Flynn though hesitant at first, comes around. Yes he’s always had a no distraction rule but for Aub he’s willing to try. But it’s not so black and white for Aubrey, she has to go along with this plan to keep her job and secure a promotion. And she has to keep it secret from Flynn. As they grow closer, it becomes more than just sex for both of them. Feelings are coming into play and they are falling for each other, fast. When Aubrey hears the news that Flynn is going to be traded at the end of the season but can’t tell Flynn she starts to pull away, but Flynn won’t have it. After a confrontation in her office, things get messy and the truth comes out. Since spending more time with Aubrey, he’d let those careful, almost puritanical walls he’d erected so carefully around himself slowly fall. He felt…comfortable with her. More at ease. More himself. But as the biggest game of the year draws closer, they are both miserable without the other. Can they find a way to be together or can the lie that started their relationship be the one that keeps them apart forever? With the last part of the book the author did a fantastic job keeping this readers heart racing with play by plays of the big game. I’m not a fan of the sport but she managed to have me cheering for the Hawks with the best of them. The epilogue nicely wraps up the series and we catch up with past couples and you will finish the book with a satisfied sigh. This is a series that you will be moving to your re-read shelf and pulling out often. This book was supplied by the publisher for an honest review.

AND HERE IT IS!!! She'll teach him the art of seduction one play at a time... Aubrey Cooper has been crushing on her client, Flynn Foley, ever since she started working as a publicist for the team. She’s also been kind of on a dry spell lately, so when a girl’s surrounded by hot football players all the time, especially when one seems to be very interested, I don’t see why she wouldn’t want to get down and dirty. Flynn Foley has got the hots of Aubrey ever since he saw her for the first time, with her fire red hair and curvaceous body, but he’s not in the mood for any relationships and distractions that would risk his career. What he needs is focus, and to be one of the top players of the season. He’s the golden boy and the sweetheart and he’s also got a secret. Nothing really major, especially if you’ve read the previous installments, because it’s already been hinted then, (view spoiler)[but he’s literally a virgin. (hide spoiler)] Aubrey and Flynn’s chemistry set fires everywhere. A couple of pages into the book, and we’ve got instant sizzles between these two that can actually burn places down. Despite the aforementioned spoiler, he's actually the type who takes the shots...but he’s one sweet alpha male. This beautiful boy right here, he’s an absolute gentleman towards everyone… and a bad boy in bed. Woah there, Flynn baby. But although this read did set fires, I felt it wasn’t intense enough, perhaps due to the sweet factor of the story – nothing wrong with sweet though. But I absolutely adored this couple, nonetheless. If you’re into sexy contemporary romances… and hot good boys… and sexy redheads… this is definitely a read for you. And don’t fret, if you haven’t read the previous installments of this series, this can be read as a standalone, but I do also encourage reading the first two books, because I absolutely enjoyed them, and for sure, you will too. Ohhh this is a FANTASTIC one! I sincerely do NOT want this series to end. It combines two of my all time favorite things - hot men and football. But Game for Tonight offered so much more. Flynn is a good guy. He just is. He has the perfect makings of a guy you would want to be with. He has his pride, but can share his feelings too. And let's not forget he can have a dirty mouth when the situation warrants it. Aubrey, she's his equal. A perfect compliment to his good guy image, is a good girl. On Ohhh this is a FANTASTIC one! And who also has no trouble burning up those sheets with her aforementioned good guy. These two are polished and demure on the outside, but when they close the doors they can get down and dirty in a hurry (unintentional rhyme). Flynn and Aubrey together made this a gripping read. I just love them. I can't even pinpoint one specific thing, but they mix the ultimate perfect blend of sexy and sweet. When their hands are forced into keeping up the appearances of their one-night stand and turning it into a relationship a lot more is on the line than Flynn realizes. Although, let's be real here - Aubrey may feel guilty, but I swear from the very beginning the feelings were there to justify a relationship on both of their ends. So while she should have told him the truth, I don't think it demeans their relationship at all throughout the book. I will be completely honest, I thought I wasn't going to like the one aspect of Flynn's love life that was brought to attention before their first encounter. I won't ruin it for you, but it had the potential to be a no-go for me. Only for the fact that things could get real awkward. HOWEVER, my dear, genius, Karen Erickson handled it beautifully, and I think realistically.Making this book a no holds bar a must read for me. I loved every bit of it. I got to see my favorite couples from the past two books. Mix that in with Flynn and Aubrey being a sickeningly adorable couple. I just couldn't handle my joy while reading this book. As much as I don't want this series to end, Flynn and Aubrey were they way to end it. They gave me the utmost warm and fuzzies when "The End" came. Happy Reading! *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*

There were many parts of this story that I loved, but there were some that I really didn't like as well. Aubrey and Flynn both work for the Hawks football team - so a relationship is off limits. Why ask them to have a pretend relationship when they are basically starting a real one? It just didn't seem to flow very well and I knew it was there just to cause a conflict later - which of course it did. It seemed like it was a conflict just for the sake of having a conflict. There were plenty of other issues that could have been used to cause the drama and intensity that you see in romance novels. Oh, and the whole star football player still being a virgin just seemed a bit unbelievable in general. What I really liked was the way the side characters interacted with our main characters and the obvious chemistry between Flynn and Aubrey. They were made for each other. They had sex a little too often - I wanted more story, but the story that was there was very well written and I was rooting for them to make it work long term the whole way through. My favorite part of the book was the final football game. Karen Erickson really built up the intensity and I felt like I was there cheering for the team right along with everyone else. I held my breath and crossed my fingers and squealed a little inside when they made a good play. It was a great ending and a very emotional one for everybody in such a great way. *This book was received in exchange for an honest review* - See more at: http://www.bittenbyromance.com/2014/1...

No worries, you can read this series in any order, but I suggest starting from the beginning - I think you will appreciate Karen’s character development over the books and how she links all of the characters' lives together. “Game for Tonight” concerns Aubrey Cooper, one of the publicists for a pro-football team (the series focuses on the love lives of three players), and Flynn Foley, her client and the back-up QB. These two have been attracted to each other for a while, but they have not acted on their feelings for fear that they will be fired for breaking the “no fraternization” rule at work. However, these two throw the rule book out the window, with a little encouragement from friends and persuasion from the bosses above, and some sweet and hilarious situations ensue. I have read all of Karen’s books … yes, every single book, every single series. Clearly, I love her writing. She has the ability to draw you into whichever world she wants, and makes you feel like you know the characters as well as you know your own friends. While all of her books are romantic, I think more of her series are on the steamy/sexy side, some with great alpha male characters - including the first two books in this series -I felt that this book reflected a softer and more vulnerable side to her characters. Don’t get me wrong - the “romance” scenes are awesome, but I loved this different side to her characters. I suggest you check out this book and this series. After reading "Game for Tonight", I will definitely catch up and read the first 2 books! Flynn Foley is not your typical pro athlete. How is it that a hot and popular football player is a virgin? He's always been focused on his career, but he does have a soft spot for Aubrey Cooper. Aubrey has always been attracted to Flynn, and he has always liked her as well. They decide to give into their feelings one night. After all, no one will know. But problem is, the media did know. They got caught. So now, the bosses want Flynn and Aubrey to become an official couple, but they do pull Aubrey aside and give her an ultimatum -- either fake the relationship or be fired. Aubrey agrees to the relationship, but it worries her as her feelings become real and her relationship progresses with Flynn that she hid this from him. What happens when Flynn finds out? Can they also survive a long-distance relationship if Flynn gets traded to another team? I couldn't put "Game for Tonight" down! I adored Flynn and Aubrey, and their chemistry was hot! I also loved seeing the other couples from the first 2 books. There were scenes that had me laughing out loud when they all got together! Wonderful job by Karen! Looking forward to reading the rest of this series! If you're a fan of sports and romance, definitely check out this book!

Their attraction is palpable to everyone around them but denied by each other until finally the two become tired of the keeping away from each other, but their escapade has consequences the two weren't prepared for. This story is unbelievably endearing and the two grab hold of your heart until you can't wait to see how they end up together. You've been given glimpses throughout the other books about Flynn and his virgin, good boy status and I have been waiting patiently to find out his story. Although you don't normally see this switch of virginal gender role, it worked completely for this story! I enjoyed the two and give it a definite four solid stars! *ARC generously provided by Entangled Brazen Publishing in exchange for an honest review*

I read the first in the series in what seems like years ago. It was my first Karen Erickson book and one of the first books I had read from Entangled. I loved both and waited a long time for book 2, which is why I was so pleasantly surprised that this book was released fairly quickly. The only thing I would change is I wish it was longer. I would have loved to see more of Flynn and Aub. Maybe something like what happened when they met each other's parents, or what their long distance relationshi I read the first in the series in what seems like years ago. Flynn is the 2nd string QB. Always working hard and waiting in the wings for his chance to shine. His dad has always taught him that to be the best, he needs to keep away from all distractions. He's been taught the biggest distraction that could threaten his career is a woman. It's the reason he's made it to his age with less experience than most. Aubrey loves the team. She's been working hard towards losing the "assistant" part of her job title in the publicity dept for the San Jose Hawks. She's been crushing on Flynn for a long time but knows there could never be anything even if he did feel the same way due to the no fraternization rule. After getting news that spurns her on, Aubrey finally decides to tell him how she feels. That kicks off such a cute story. I absolutely loved Flynn! Definitely one of my fav make characters as of late.

Aubrey Cooper is a Publicist for the Hawks, and has a little crush on one of the players Flynn Foley. After hearing news that one of Aubrey’s exs is now engaged, Aubrey went looking for someone to distract her and now just a certain person, but Flynn. Flynn has been eying Aubrey as well, but his focus is on football and only football, until she showed how she felt for him. Flynn has been eying Aubrey as well, but his focus is on football and only football, until she showed how she felt for him. After their one night together, the story was leaked and people at the Hawks franchise were not happy. In order to make everyone happy, Flynn promised to try out a real relationship with Aubrey. Aubrey on the other hand was told to pretend to be in a relationship, make Flynn believe her and she won’t lose her job. The hard part about this deal was Aubrey did have feeling for Flynn, but will the deal make her lose him? It was interesting to see the main male character to be the virgin, he wasn’t inexperienced by all means, and he just hasn’t had sex until Aubrey. Most stories it is the woman who is the more innocent one who gets their heart broken. I think I liked Flynn as a character because he was so different from what a reader thinks he is going to be, he wasn’t dominant or demanding, but instead he was sweet and caring. This was the third book in the series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I have not read the first two and was still able to follow along.
