If you haven’t, you need to buy and read "Sex In The Title" ASAP so that you don’t look totally clueless at the next awesome party you attend (where EVERYONE will be talking about this hilarious romantic comedy). And here's some fun gossip that you can share, to impress everyone at that party (so that you seem like you’re REALLY on top of the hottest trends). I read somewhere that the author of "Sex In The Title" originally tried to patent the book as a technology that can cause continuous laughter and sexual arousal almost simultaneously. That could be an urban legend – much like the rumor that the UN Security Council tried to make the novel required reading around the globe as a way to promote world peace (since the book would leave everyone on the planet too busy laughing or fornicating to make war). There were also reports that comedic greats such as Larry David and Woody Allen, and renowned writers EL James and JK Rowling, had each – through their representatives – contacted the author of “Sex In The Title” for personalized tutoring in the art of humor and writing fiction. Unfortunately, these celebrity scribes will have to get in line like everyone else. But enough with the rumors. Let me state what is an objective fact: this is the greatest novel ever written. First, let’s look at the characters: we’ve got five, well-developed male characters. And what could be more exciting than a well-developed male? Oh, you’re a straight guy? Well, there are plenty of women in the book too. Indeed, that is one of the unforgettably unique qualities of this novel: it has men and women in it. How many other novels can say that about their cast of characters? And there’s something else in this book that you really can’t find anywhere else these days: SEX. In fact, I’ve spent weeks trolling the reader groups on Facebook and Goodreads consulting with readers who (like me) want more sex in their books. And nobody can seem to find any books with sex in them. Or even a cover with a mostly naked man or woman that is suggestive of sex. So "Sex In The Title" finally delivers what no other book has managed to supply thus far. Indeed, just in case the title of the book left any doubt, sex actually happens not only in the title, but also in the novel itself. And what could be better than sex? It’s the perfectly pleasurable escape from a crappy day and – thanks to all of those people doing it without contraception – it’s also really good for global overpopulation. But let’s not get too shallow and focus only on the sex that is in the title (and the story). Let’s instead get profoundly analytical for a moment and consider this book’s storytelling structure. When studying the rather complex and well-conceived plot of this literary masterpiece, I couldn’t help but notice that this novel had a beginning, a middle, and an end. How many books does a reader encounter in a lifetime with that kind of planning? It’s truly remarkable to experience. It really is storytelling at its finest. I should also add an observation about the language used. Much to the dismay of the French, the book was written in English. Indeed, as I reflect on the endless virtues of this novel, and how it titillates and amuses all at once, I find myself unable to resist this powerful urge to buy the book, again and again. And again. I just want to gift it to myself. And to others. In fact, the other day I found a female burglar breaking into my house, and she had her Kindle with her (it turns out that e-readers are quite useful to thieves – particularly if they get caught and need to kill time in prison). Anyway, while she was proceeding to walk away with my most valuable possessions, I was about to gift her "Sex In The Title" when I noticed that she already had it in her book collection. I was so happy for her that I gave her a high-five as she walked away with my flat screen TV (I helped her to carry it out so that she could free one of her hands to high-five me). And while we were moving my beloved TV to her truck, I said, “Isn’t that book the most sexy and hilarious thing you’ve ever read?” And her response was, “I actually was planning to start reading it tonight after taking the rest of your valuables.” And the fact that this woman looked so hot – with the little nylon stocking pulled over her head and her skin-tight cat-woman outfit – made the whole getting-burglarized experience even cooler. And her confession about not having read the novel yet also explained why she was still living a life of crime, because clearly she hadn’t yet experienced the life-changing tickles and arousals provided by the book. So I forgave her, knowing that as soon as she finished reading "Sex In The Title" she would promptly come back to my place to return my flat screen TV and have wild sex with me. So I viewed the burglary as more of a loan (in her elaborate game of foreplay), and I was totally cool with the whole thing. Anyway, where was I? Oh, I was just raving about this book that you’re about to go buy. Yes, that’s a very good decision you’ve made. You too will give in to that irresistible – almost hypnotically-induced urge – to get your copy of "Sex In The Title." Why? Because you’re awesome, and you too deserve to discover the secret to happiness. Yes, you now feel compelled to experience life's ultimate joy by clicking on this Amazon link for "Sex In The Title."

Why? Because I LOVED the end. (Not to mention the fact that I never do as I am told) Those of you who follow my reviews know that I’m a cliffy-hater. Cliffys make me perform murderous acts with sharp objects on my pillow. *Nods head in confirmation* It’s true! And, although Sex in the Title did end on a MINOR cliffy (I reaffirm, MINOR), I found myself caressing my pillow instead. WTF? <--- I know. I think what sets this cliffy apart from most, is that you are left with a feeling of drive and optimism. Of wanting to form your own posse and set off on your own Fellowship of the Schlong...or Foo Foo...Love Tunnel...Penis Fly Trap...whichever way you swing. Needless to say, the ending rocked my lacey jocks, affording me a massive ‘Awww ...swoon’ moment over Heeb. *sighs and caresses pillow again* Now, moving along to the beginning...the title...and to the rest of this little gem of a book. *Ha, take that, annoying shoulder angel* Sex in the Title is an extremely funny, clever, and witty story that follows the lives of five career-driven men. These men haphazardly find themselves in the most outrageous situations during their quest for romance. Now, before I continue, I just want to say that I adore the title of this book and its’ significance to the story. Secondly, I think Zack Love deserves an award for ‘Character Development of the Year’. And, might I add, that I would personally like to present it to him in exchange for my original signed copy of his book. <---Oh yes, Love...I went there! The development of every one of his characters was absolutely brilliant. With every chapter you read, each character grew in strength. Now, let me just clarify that when I say ‘grew in strength’ I mean in a sense that Zack placed them in situations where you as the reader had no choice but to feel many different emotions toward them. What I don’t mean when I say that they ‘grew in strength’ is that they became wiser as each chapter progressed, because technically, they didn’t. They all seemed to do quite the opposite really, going downhill before picking themselves back up again. And boy, did they all go downhill... especially Evan. Evan...what can I say about Evan. His journey went from bad to worse. Poor Evan, you couldn’t help but feel for the guy. I mean, he always had good intentions, even when held at ‘blow point’ or when performing oral toe arousal...on a hooker! Evan carefully inserted Brandy’s toe into his mouth and began bobbing up and down on her big toe, wondering whether a blowjob was worth a toe job… As his head moved up and down on Brandy’s toe, he began to concentrate on its somewhat calloused texture, and then noticed that it tasted like a blend of shoe sweat, leather, nail polish, and cheap perfume. After reading that particular Evan-fiasco, I became aware that you could both LOL and spew into your own mouth at the same time. YUK! Oh, and if you think that particular Evan-fiasco is bad, wait and see what else happens with said hooker! Another character whose journey took many dives throughout the story was, Heeb aka Sammy. To say Heeb was a misfit in amongst his group of friends (IMO) couldn’t be more far from the truth. Because he wasn’t. Heeb was awesome. Awesome and romantically challenged. Heeb constantly saw himself as inferior, BUT, that didn’t stop him from Kojacking and diving into all situations head-first. Let me just list some of these situations for you: 1) Heeb’s short-lived career as a live nude model. Although...there was nothing ‘short’ during his ‘atttempt’ at this particular venture. 2) Heeb and online dating Or as Mr. Love quite aptly put it Back in the early summer of 2000, when Heeb first joined Match.com, those who logged on for love were a slightly geekier, tech-savvier crowd who saw the phenomenon as an empowering adventure for the socially awkward rather than as a random new way to meet psycho-killers. Did Heeb meet a psycho-killer? You’ll have to read to find out. 3) Heeb hitting the Jackpot...literally. <---Massive LMAO scene right there. It wasn’t until Heeb met Evan in (how can I put this?) unfortunate and nail BITING circumstances, that his downward spiral took a turn for the better. Heaven (my collective name for Heeb and Evan) were a match made in heaven....Heaven in Heaven! (Digress much, Golland?) Anyway, moving on. Awesome and highly likeable characters aside, this book is hilarious and laugh-out-loud funny, however, contrary to popular belief, I don’t feel that the hilarity was the main star. In my opinion—although the humour was exceptional—the star of this book was how it was delivered. How it was both highly intellectual and entertaining. If I’m going to be completely honest, I think that what I enjoyed most about this book was that underneath all that witty hilarity, there were passages of philosophical brilliance and thought provoking genius. Example? Oh...okay. Any relationship with long-term potential has a honeymoon period, however brief, marked by the happy illusion that one’s lover might be uniquely perfect. This fool’s paradise is sustained by the elaborate deception artfully employed in every courtship: the diplomatic dodging of difficult issues, the careful concealing of unflattering flaws, and the strategic stressing of charming virtues. But as trust increases and each person grows weary of maintaining this initial beguilement, the blissfully blurry lens through which the other is perceived eventually refocuses to a clearer picture. AND being in love can change almost anything: from your expectations and limitations to your very life plans. It’s a completely unpredictable force. And how it operates within any particular relationship is a total mystery to anyone outside of that relationship.” This little gem of a read was so much more than just a group of loveable guys, stumbling through life on their fellowship to get laid. It was an honest account of how diverse both genders of our race can be and, despite that diversity, that both men and women inevitably strive for the same thing... a HEA. I LOVED Sex in the Title and HIGHLY recommend it. *Now Zach...can I please have my signed copy now? :D*

As a fellow writer I find myself subconsciously critical of others work. What this book did for me was the reason I started telling stories in the first place and reminded me of the grand influence and power of the written word. Let me break it down... Picking this up reminded me of sitting on a plane and discovering you quite possibly met the most intriguing person you will ever encounter, and for those brief hours suspended in time, all of the universe is up for discussion with out the usual formalities of social standing. The characters, even in their most shallow moments, are full of soul with the inner distress one feels when they are falling short of living life to the fullest potential and finding that "perfect" mate. Her----> Together they commiserate on the unfortunate encounters they experience while scheming ridiculous plans to improve it. Woven together with sharp humor and identifiable characters, Sex in the Title is a virtual tour through Urie Brofenbrenners "Ecological Systems Theory". It cannot be easily summed up, as it spans several genres and does it with such cleverness, you cannot help but be impressed. What it boils down to is an incredible read. Everyone gets something different out of each story, for me, I felt so many emotions I find it difficult to convey and this review most likely comes across as superfluous ramblings. I can honestly say that this has been one of my favorite all time reads. There were so many interesting, funny, and thought provoking points it is impossible to translate into a review and cover them all with the depth they deserve. So why the offensive gesture I mentioned at the beginning? I know my own writing will now be influenced and there will be this ever present challenge to step up my game. Well done.

Months passed and the girl began to poke around on her Kindle only to find this forgotten title. She figured it was high time she read it – and was instantly reminded why she has since made a policy to say no to author requests. Sex in the Title was clearly aspiring to be something great. In fact, 85% through the story there’s even a reference to said greatness: Sadly, this little tale was not so money that it didn’t even know it. In “Swingers,” Trent and his friends are total d-bags, but Favreau’s timing is so spot-on and his characters so over-the-top that it’s instantly forgivable and you still pretty much want to bang them (especially Sue. Good godamighty Sue). The same can’t be said for Evan and his friends in Sex in the Title. They’re just pretty much douchebags and are so one-dimensional that it can’t be overlooked. Kind of like: This book was supposed to be a funny take on romance/relationships from a male perspective. It wasn't. The characters were so schmarmy that each chapter left me feeling like I needed to get tested for the clap without even touching them. And the humor? Sophomoric would be a step up (and I’m a gal that generally loves some lowbrow humor). There’s just nothing good I can say about this one : (

Then through a series of incidents totally irrelevant from the other, one man from each group end up in the ER with the same type of injury to his penis. It was hard for me though to get through some of the story because I found myself unconnected from the characters. I'm not sure if it was because the story was told from a man's POV or that I never got into the whole "Sex in the City" story. But again, the story in general was funny and the men took NYC by storm! --I was so excited reliving the story as I wrote this review--hoping I didn't leave anything out!-- This is one of those books when after you’ve finished reading and want to rave about it so much, that it’s just too difficult to decide, “Where to begin?!” Let’s start with the author; This is Zach Love’s very first book and the history with it is that it was written many years ago but is just now publishing it. One thing came to mind when I discovered this, “We’ve been missing out on this for that long??!” This book was ahhhh-mazing! So many laugh-out-loud moments, face-palming, and any other emotion a reader can undergo when captivated by a brilliant book. I absolutely enjoyed the fact that each character who is portrayed through their very own story in this book, are vibrant, fresh and different in their own very way. The author accomplishes the effect so well through his ability to be able to transform his style of writing, seamlessly, might I add, into the way the character acts and behaves, whether they have accents or not. For example, we have prim and proper male characters in here who love to use big words and then we have this goooofy Asian kid who talks like he’s from the hood. (I think he was my favorite of them all) When you are writing about five different characters, I can imagine it’s quite an obstacle to be able to shed some light on each individual personality, and lifestyle...but Zack Love flawlessly fleshes out every soul in this book. First, we have Evan, and ohhh my gosh, his story had me ROLLING with laugher. It’s seriously so ridiculous the situation he gets himself into near the end of the first chapter that even I cringed! It begun when he woke up one day to find an email from his boss stating that he’s fired. Ah, no big deal right? There’s other jobs out there and he figures he has enough money to take some time to collect himself and bring along his girlfriend to her dream vacation spot. Well... as he reaches out to contact her, he finds an email from her stating that he’s just not the right guy… VIA EMAIL!... and that she’s run off to her dream vacation spot, to live a little. Things go downhill from there and Evan begins to realize, maybe it’s time he livens up a bit. Well, as you see, he’s not the luckiest guy in the world, and things tend to only get worse from there in his attempts to turn the table that night on his rampage for a New York City escapade. Then, we have funny pair Lucky Chucky and his friend Heeb, Harvard College buddies whose real names are Carlos and Sammy. Carlos is the hot Latino guys in which girls swoon over and Sammy is the IT type of nerd who Carlos teaches him to bring his “Kojack” out to win the girls over. This duo is extremely intellectual and plan their wingman tactics wisely-- they go through some pretty funny predicaments. Now we have Narc whom I absolutely love! He’s abnormally tall for an Asian, standing over six feet tall and quite handsome to boot; but ever since a young age, he was determined to break free of the traditional Chinese way of living in which his parents insist of. Here and there he will help with the family laundry business, and is quite naturally academically inclined but not ordinarily so. He lives for basketball and hangs with the wrong crowd, he’s messy and watches a sh*t load of porn and drives his roommate –This is where Evan is tied in again—absolutely bonkers. I love Narc for so many reasons, he’s hilarious, straight to the point and unique, and his way of speaking is such an oxymoron to his natural-born background. All in all, I enjoyed this book for so many reasons—it’s fun to see up close and personal, the wheels that turn in a males mind when it comes to romance, and no worries about being a female reader and spotting anything offensive. Even we all could relate to some of these guys quandaries. This book definitely filled me with laugher, gave me insight, and just overall joy. The characters become so real and pop right out of the pages, forgetting that you are sitting all cozied reading. Another thing I so appreciated was how well of a job the author captured the diversity of NYC, and his love for the City of Dreams shines through.

Here's a question. When you see a book with the title "Sex In The Title" is it just me or do you automatically think, WOW here's a book about sex? Ok maybe that could just be me because my mind is like a guy’s, and I can make anything about sex but come on. It's literally in the title. Either way it's a catchy title that had me intrigued, and my finger was clicking fast to see what this book was about. I'm so happy I did because this book was a refreshing different type of read. Told completely Here's a question. When you see a book with the title "Sex In The Title" is it just me or do you automatically think, WOW here's a book about sex? Either way it's a catchy title that had me intrigued, and my finger was clicking fast to see what this book was about. I'm so happy I did because this book was a refreshing different type of read. Told completely from a male's POV, Sex In The Title is set in early 2000. This book is not about sex per say but about finding love, the one you are ultimately meant to be with. That alone had me hooked and captivated. Sex In The Title is a story about five men. There is Evan whom we meet after not only getting fired via email, but dumped via email by his girlfriend a day later. He just ends up going from one catastrophe to another. Sammy or Heeb as his friends call him, is a short, chubby, Jewish guy with low self-esteem. He has a heart of gold and personally I couldn't help but just fall in love with him. Trevor who is a gorgeous, black English man who is very pure, sweet and humble. Carlos or Luck Chucky as some call him, is also gorgeous but has unrealistic expectations of the perfect woman. And last but not least Yi Wang but is known as Narc. He's another tall and handsome man. His passions are women and basketball. His nickname comes because he loves trying the latest narcotics. All five men go through major ups and downs individually that ultimately help them to form a collective bond and their posse. These situations they go through will have you laughing hysterically one second, cringing the next, sighing in another and getting misty eyed as well. Zack brings a fresh over the top perspective on a male’s insight into dating. It shows that, just like women, men also have insecurities and feelings as well. It's good to know that not only women hurt, feel and who will share in our "Happy Ever After." My final thought ladies. I HIGHLY recommend this book. It's beyond funny, intelligent and heartwarming. You will be left with Heeb-isms and Evan-isms that will stick with you forever. Oh you want to know what they are? Well my suggestion, go to Amazon and CLICK that finger and start your reading. Sex In The Title will have you hysterically laughing and blissfully satisfied. WARNING!! Though most of the guys did get their HEA, some do have a cliffy.

*** MUST READ*** This review contains NO spoilers. Okay, first let me start by just praising the author of this book, because his writing is completely FLAWLESS for a 'newbie'. However Zack has gone completely polar opposite; he's used humor, wit, romance & the occasion hot sex scene... And let me tell you it completely rock's! The only down side to the book is that's I'd say you'd require a small bit of intelligence to appreciate his style of writing and in no way is that a bad thing. So ladies ( and some gentlemen) I URGE you to go grab your copy of this right now... yep I mean like now! What do I think? I think this book is absolutely hilarious. Zack took you inside the minds of five men with varying degrees of craziness. From lists to who qualifies as a person worth sleeping with to a plan to date women of a different nationalities until the age of 30 these men go through some experiences that I have no doubt happened to men in real life. Falling in love with a movie star happens to not only males but females too. What makes this fun is Evan's experiences with this. Heeb hitti What do I think? Carlos, too, is in a category only understood by reading the book. So, ladies, go ahead and get this book and see how the men do suffer as much as we do when it comes to finding true love. After all, in a city with a over 8 million people how hard is it to find someone who loves you for you????? Read the book and find out. Plus buying the books helps Zack Love buy some bananas.

Witty, comical and forever etched in my brain as the only book that made me spit my coffee all over my tablet haha, thankfully my tablet isnt ruined. My praise for author Zack Love for creating a five star stellar story and from the male's POV by a male author which I dont see very often. Intellectual and endearing as well as funny, i would recommend this book to everyone who enjoys philosophical discussions with a healthy dose of self deprication and laugh out load comedy situations. Showing how they met,and the story of how they got to that point. It is back in the year 2000-01. With some time before hand from each blokes perspective. This book shows them coming together and forming one unit. There pose as they like to call it. Five blokes taking on the big city known as New York. On the prowl enjoying the single life before they settle down. But who they get to this point is the funny bit. And there are bits you won't be able to contain your laughter! This book is not my normal read. I went outside the box with this. And I am so glad I did. The book been from five men's eyes was SO different. It was actually quiet refreshing. It was that good that there better be a book two or I may have to stalk the author. Just a little bit.... Soooooo on to the book at hand...... The five men we have are Evan,Narc,Trevor,Carlos and Sammy. The book starts off with Evan though. Now Evan goes through something no man should. He not only gets fired, but then the following day gets dumped by his girlfriend......Via email. YES that's right I said email. Talk about crashing and burning. Things can't get worse though right? WRONG. He taught that before he was held up at blow point. I'm not even gonna get into what that is because I'm still trying to get my head around that one! LOL He seems like the main Character of the book even though the others are in it just as much. Maybe that's just my thinking? You'll see when reading it I suppose. Poor Evan though has problems. He's kinda in love with Delia Nakova. Who's she I hear you asking? Well a famous actress no less! He is obsessed with her after he has more then a few run in's with her. And these run in's where not life changing. Birds didn't sing and rainbows didn't magicly appear. Well not for her anyways. The run ins are actually quiet embarrassing. BUT for Evan none of that matters. He just can't get her out of his head. Love at first meeting is what it's like. And with his been a writer, wanting to be one anyway he gets this plan is his head to win her.....Can You see where I'm going with this......?? BUT that's just Evan. ONE down four to go. I'll give you the run down.... Narc is Asian/American who becomes a lawyer. Who's addicted to porn. God honest truth. He will watch it anywhere and everywhere. And has an awful habit of leaving it on.....as Evan finds out more then once. He's been a lawyer to please his parents. He doesn't want this but he does it for them not wanting to let them down. But life is catching up with his until it has him in its grasp. So he's left with some choices to make. Trevour is very swave. He is British and VERY bloody tall. He has rules for his dating. He need's a girl over 6 foot. Just like him,so as you can imagine he's limited in that department. Then he gets himself a girl. Tall, beautiful and has everything he's been looking for. Or that's what he thinks. She may actually have more then he has asked for..... Carlos is the latin lover of the group. He is fabulous looking. Picture movie star good looking. BUT he's the virgin of the group. And he also has BAD OCD when it comes to germs. Seriously he need's help. So living in the big germy New York city should be a hoot and a half for him :D And finally we get to Sammy. The jew of the group. God How I loved him! He is my next favorite after Evan :) He's small, pudgy and going bauld since he can remember. So no wonder is SQ is so low(You'll soon learn what that is) He has a life plan. Play the field(when he can find girls)and start looking for wife material at the age of 28 and up. But you know life NEVER goes how you want it to. His bits in the book are outrageous! Throw in a few knock backs,a mail box conversation,a meowing vagina and hitting the jackpot and you get Sammy in all his glory! I would urge everyone to read 'Sex In The Title'. Hell even give it to a friend or family member for christmas. This book will cheer you right up. No matter what. But maybe read it alone. After the looks I got at the LOL bit's it's probably best ;)

Sex in the Title was a ridiculously funny book. It reminded me of hanging out with my brother and his friends. Then due to a horrible accident that occurred to Sammy and Evan on the same night, they met when they became roommates at the hospital. They became fast friends due to similar circumstances which led them to start the 'Fellowship of the Schlong'. Sammy and Evan then decided to form a posse that included their friends as one big group. I was then introduced to Narc and Trevor who were two guys that Evan played basketball with. They wanted to use their posse to help them find women in the city of New York. It really reminded me of a man's version of Sex In The city. There were parts that had me laugh so hard, people in the doctor’s office must've thought I was crazy. (I was sitting in the waiting room.) What is worse is that it was such a good part I couldn’t stop reading or laughing either. I would suggest this book for anyone that wanted a good laugh. There are parts that are a bit rough for some people, but for the most part....I'd suggest you read this book.

I read this book, in a day, after it was recommend to me by a friend. I've got to say I'm glad I read it In Sex in the title, we meet 4 young men in the 1990's. First we meet Evan. We follow them through job losses, girlfriends come and go, hilarious conversations between the guys, and that's not including would be one night stands, that end in absolute disaster, and porn films that are made and then watched by their parents....Eww! With a similar feel to Sex in the City, but from a mans POV, this is a great, light hearted, funny read with excellent editing. I'd recommend this book and would definitely give it 4.5 out of 5. A very funny book.

Each character is so different and diverse but mesh well together, complimenting the story as a whole. I had a constant grin on my face throughout the story and was simply unable to put it down. I recommend this book to everyone. Everyone!

The first 4 chapters are about Evan and his attempts to score which lead to a very embarrassing night. When Chucky and Heeb were introduced in chapter 5, I was a bit confused especially since there wasn't a transition-- it was almost like a new book. Parts were funny and I did laugh, but I found that the dialogue didn't seem realistic, especially in the hospital. Zack Love's Sex In The Title was by far the funniest book I have read this year, It was completely different to what I normally read but it had me hooked by the five diverse characters Evan, Heeb, Narc, Carlos and Trevor and how they come together and get to know one another. I love the fact that it was written by a man and how he shows us that men also have worries over the same problems us ladies do from life in general to romance and lack of self confidence. I love the fact that it was written by a man and how he shows us that men also have worries over the same problems us ladies do from life in general to romance and lack of self confidence. It was definitely a refreshing read from the mammy smut I normally devour on a daily basis. At one point in the story after Evan has a disastrous night out in the City, He believes his luck might of changed for the better when he is approached by two women. This unfortunately is where Evan's luck goes from bad to worse, after a shocking event Evan finds himself in hospital in which he encounters Heeb. Heeb and his current girlfriend aren't having the best of times. So he decides to bite the bullet and pay her a visit in her own home after the time they have spent together has always been spent at his place. The only downside for Heeb is that she shares her small apartment with cats. Not one or two cats but TWELVE! It's during his stay with his girlfriend that Heeb really does hit the Jackpot which then leads him being rushed to hospital, I won't elaborate and spoil what happens as you will find out for yourself. But you are most definitely guaranteed a good laugh at the whole incident. In the circumstances that lead up to their short stay in hospital was without a doubt my favourite part of the book and had me laughing so hard that I had tears streaming down my face, So much so that I couldn't read the words on my kindle. I think my favourite character of them all was Heeb, I loved his "Heebism's" and how he made me laugh throughout the book, The way he tried with his different activities and actually put himself out there. I think the quote that got me chuckling the most was "Amen. God bless the penis!" as Heeb and Evan cemented their friendship. Well done Zack Love for keeping me completely entertained, Laughing out loud and thoroughly hooked all the way through with the lingo, the friendships and the dilemmas they all face in life.

Okay, so first let me say this. This book is written by a male..yup you’ve read that right..lol..this book is “LIKE” Sex in the City only with men as the focal point. I LOVED that the most about the book, I’ve always wondered what its like being the male approaching the woman and what they really think etc. This book delivers that and so so much more!! So let’s take a moment and give a round of applause to ZACK LOVE for writing this funtastic read. Zack has done something many authors wish they h Okay, so first let me say this. So let’s take a moment and give a round of applause to ZACK LOVE for writing this funtastic read. Zack has done something many authors wish they had; he’s used humor, wit, romance & the occasion hot sex scene… And it completely ROCKS my SOCKS!!! Honest to god the only negative I can say is that you might have to look up some words, as they aren’t commonly known..lol…but that’s just part of what makes this book AWESOME!! The Five guys we meet, Evan, Sammy (Heeb), Carlos, Trevor and Yi Wang (Narc) are completely lovable guys that you just can’t help but to want to give a big fat hug to after reading about their dating catastrophe!! Ladies there are 5 count them 5 guys and one of them is bound to peek your interest..I may or may not have a slight crush on **Coughs ETHAN! The story in and of itself, while very hilarious at times, was also about the trials and tribulations these men go through in finding their life long love. The ups and downs in their relationships with love and friendship was something to be desired reading from their POV’S. Again I can’t stress enough this is what sucked me in to this and I couldn’t put in down. I mean seriously girls, we get ANSWERS, what really happens behind close doors, its like being a fly on the wall!! And, although Zack is the author I find his quote to be utterly perfect and had to share. “Every human relationship begins with a coincidence.” “By contrast, friends and lovers choose each other, but even these choices are reactions to what ever random coincidence made the resulting relationship possible.” -Zack Lov So ladies what are you waiting for, go grab your copy today and get it on this FUNTASTIC, INSIGHTFUL read!! You won’t be disappointed!!

These poor men hahaha There where a lot of "Shake your head" moments in this book LOL The things these men go through really do go from bad to hilariously worse as it says in the synopsis. The story in and of itself, while very funny, was also about the trials and tribulations these men go through in finding their life long love. The ups and downs in their relationships with love and friendship was something to be desired reading from their POV. I truly loved reading the thoughts from their perspective. I would normally throw in a quote or two about the books I read to show pieces of the books that I love, However, I loved everything about his book and truly don't want to give anything away!! You have got to read this book for yourself and please do so with an open mind for this is not your usual romance book. It really is a fun "Romantic Comedy". The way this book was written was just simply amazing. very well developed characters and so cleverly done. The Back story you get for each person in the book, very much helps you to connect with the men and fall for each one individually. Seriously the writing style, the flow and the build up were very well done. This book totally grabbed me and refused to let go until I reached the last page! I highly recommend this book. I will now sit back with a smile on my face going over all the hilariously fantastic adventures these men have gone through thanking the author for allowing me to join in for the ride.

Growing up in the 90's and living through the age of tech changes, I totally fell in love with this book. The five main male characters have great witty and sophisticated dialog and higher education humor. Misadventures happen to bring friends together in the most unthinkable conditions. I came away with some quirky Heeb-isms and Evan-isms and even a few Narc-isms....for those who have yet to enjoy this book, trust me, each man is humorously and/or lovably unique. So let me share my thoughts on the men... Evan...oh, Evan Cheson, total geek and computer programmer who is "actually charming and good-looking...with a full head of thick hair...blue eyes...athletic six-foot-one.." *swoon* he sounds so dreamy...and then you realize he's had some not-so-great luck. I mean, he starts off "losing a job and girlfriend, each via email, one day after the next." You can't help but hope something good happens to this sexy 29 yr old man. With the women of NYC though, confidence is a must! The women you are introduced to as you follow Evan's adventures are either "9+ hotties" or giving him a "freebie" that is most definitely NOT free! Lucky Chucky and Heeb are our next men we come across...Roommates at Harvard, Carlos was dubbed "Lucky Chucky" since he was lucky in everything he did...and not only the luck but the looks as well, something close to a "Latin Telenova Star." However, Sammy had no luck with women, with his "baby face...compact nose...and the thin brown layer of hair combed over...five feet eight inches...and willing to barter math skills." Sammy's nickname came from Carlos because "Heeb. You're a dweeby Heeby who explains nicknames with syllogisms." And thus the nicknames and friendship was formed between two total social opposites. There is so much hilarity that ensues when they venture out that you can't help the out-loud chuckles at some of the social awkwardness that happens. Narc is a whole other drink of tall, delicious man! Being Evan's roommate at Brown, Yi Wang, as he was known in his home, was six foot two and broke the norm of Chinese men. To his friends, he was "Narc" because he was always willing to try the latest narcotics to hit the 'hood. His passions were basketball and women!! But don't talk any smack on his ethnic background or family! After Evan meets Heeb, the two form an unlikely Posse of men and take on the city of NY (with Narc being one of Evan's recruits into the group)!! I love that its a man's point of view about relationships and friendships and living in the big city. Love, Lust and Life lessons are written in a way to make you think and remember a time when things were less and more complicated in the world of technology. This is a must read for anyone who remembers giving your email instead of your facebook! And I can't wait for "Sex in the Sequel." Just some of the many hilarious moments were captured in these memorable quotes: ---"It's about as original and sincere as a flight attendant greeting." ---"Alex, as long as I can keep coming back for one last charity [email protected] like this, I may eventually come to terms with the idea that we're breaking up." ---"Dropping the H bomb" ---"But your Jewish!" "Yeah, but I'm a bagel Jew." ---"No. Sex is different. Sex is a sinfully dirty act...And it's probably very crude and imperfect in reality." ---"Laughing out Loud at Losers of Lust." ---"Amen. God bless the penis."

I had very high hopes about Sex in the Title a comedy revolving around the lives of several young men and it's fair to say that the first few chapters certainly didn't disappoint! Evan as a character totally hooked me and I was practically wetting myself with laughter by the time we got to the scene where the prostitute took a nice big bite out of his...well, you get the picture! The prostitute(s), I have to say were also scarily convincing and I thought that the author captured their voice and spirit exceptionally well. Now I get to the but...and for me the major failing of this book. The author chooses this point, when we are totally sucked up into Evan's world (pardon my dreadful pun) to switch viewpoint to another male character and so starts the frenetic head hopping...as character after character is thrown at us and we are invited into their heads/their worlds. There is also a distinct lack of sex in the book. I stopped reading the book for over a week after the author moved away from Evan and forced myself to return to it because I could see that the book had potential. The next few chapters bored the life out me and then, just when I had totally become sold on Carlos and in particular his wonderfully written relationship with Carolina the author did it again and flicked viewpoint... Evan and Carlos are for me the two stand out characters of this book. The rest of the characters I could take or leave, preferably leave and I think the author has missed a golden opportunity with this book because had he chosen to focus purely on those two, alternating possibly chapter by chapter between them then I think he could have had a best seller. However, in flicking viewpoint between so many male heads he is in danger of losing his readership...he certainly lost me at several points.

This book is set in New York City and it follows the lives of five completely different guys, sort of like a male version of Sex in the City. Zack Love's writing style is very smart and sophisticated and I personally loved that, I must say though that I'd frequently had to interrupt my reading to Google a lot of the big words he used. I found the dialogues a lot more interesting than the actual plot, a lot of the situations this guys found themselves in seemed very unrealistic to me. All of this men had different characteristics but not one of them I found interesting or attractive in any way, which is the reason why I found myself getting a little bored from time to time. Overall reading this book was a good experience, there were some seriously funny scenes that had me laughing and ultimately it was really interesting to read a book from the male perspective which once again brought me to the conclusion that women are from Venus and men are from Mars...

This is a rather funny book that has so far been very well received since its release. It is worth this praise and success in large measure because it is a witty, well thought out, splendidly executed satire on growing up at the time when I grew up. It is certainly funny in of itself, but now it also has that sort of ‘retro’ feel to it, that half emotional ambience about how things were so much better / downright archaic back at the turn of the century (depending upon whether you grew up then or after). The book does cover the evergreen issue of coming to terms with life and finding a niche within it that fits somewhere between the ambitions we set ourselves as youngsters and the realities of the daily grind. There are very few people who have it easy all of the time and that extends into all aspects of life. Contrary to the title’s clever marketing, this is not all about sex, but in the way that American Pie was not all about sex, because you can clearly argue that it is, even though the bonding of friends who hold firm intially opposing and then embracing the inevitable pressures of growing up is very important to the story. It is a very important positive that the author does not stray away from the comic into the embarrassing which is all too easy pitfall. It was to me a tale of coincidence and growing up, a story about how to deal with life when all life is sending is hard knocks; it is also a little bit of a heart warmer because it does help us recall that, more often than not, it does work out, even though nothing like originallt intentioned.

During this fantastic adventure we meet five men, Evan, Sammy (Heeb), Carlos, Trevor and Yi Wang (Narc) as we wander through their dating disasters. It is really interesting reading a male perspective on dating and their misadventures and/or successes. This book is clever, whity, smart, edited to perfection, but most importantly it is well constructed with extremely well developed characters and individual stories. I am so pleased I found this little gem, well actually it was recommended to me so I am now going to recommend it to you . This is a debut novel from Zach Love and I highly recommend it as a fantastic read and one not to be missed. Get your fingers one-clicking this one today. "I don't know the question, but sex is definitely the answer"- Woody Allen used to say - and clearly this resonates in Zack Love's title. But, contrary to the salacious introduction, this book isn' t just about sex. The obstacles life throws our way and the coping mechanisms we develop, the gap between unrealistic youthful ambitions, the goals we set ourselves and the choices we ultimately make, the adult-sized dramas no one has prepared us for, but which we suddenly find ourselves confronted with are all, in and of themselves, a rich source of humour. The story is not only witty and downright hilarious, but intricately thought out and the reader will be immersed in its entertaining twists and turns from the very first pages. Zach Love's debut singles him out as a talent to watch. Read his novel, there will be more to come!
