Rarely has a book moved me as much as this masterpiece did. I laughed, I cried, I learned how to operate my Kindle Paperwhite.

Lacked in plot. I feel like the plot device is good, but the characters are lacking in spirit. The plot never progresses; indeed, I would go as far as to say the plot doesn't even exist. So much potential. The Kindle Paperwhites journey is hardly even described, and it mostly focuses on world building and information dumping. Very disappointing novel. I hope the sequel will at least have a plot.

Useful guidebook for the Paperwhite. If you are into reading, it is worth taking the time to get familiar with the device you will be holding in your hands for months of your life when all is said and done. ;-)

The book is spot on in terms of content. However, I think this can be considered as how a book for the kindle should be distributed. Most cover pages do not look good on the Kindle but the cover page for this use guide looks elegant, I wish Amazon Distributes the unpackaged source of this book as the template to the publishers so that they can leverage the best practices that went into designing this book.

This would be especially good for a new user. However, even though I had used the Kindle Touch for 2+ years, I still learned things about the Paperwhite that I didn't know.

After finishing it, I proclaim it an excellent book. With a very focused character pool, the novel still creates an epic story that can be remembered for ages. Though somewhat short, what the book lacks in material, it makes up for in balanced, well written storytelling. The author, Amazon, made it apparent that he/she strives for quality over quantity. A highly recommended read, and very enjoyable.

Nothing new; good intro for new user; good reminders for experienced user.

give it 4 point because i don't want any recommendation of this kind of book by goodreads, though i suppose it can get 5 point indeed.

Useful. I was familiar with the paperwhite but learned some interesting facts while reading it. I know it will be a good reference to use in the future when I am not sure about paperwhite use or to find information about features Amazon offers to use with it.

It's what it needs to be, no more, no less. It is interactive, and easy to get through.

I was trying to read a book on my kindle, but because of the format, I had to stop reading it to read this one. Sighing. It's not like I am a newbie with my kindle. I've used it for several years now. However, even after reading the kindle instructions, which were very clear, I was unable to read the former book in an easy fashion. It has to be tweaked several ways because somehow the previous book's format simply does not work with my paperwhite kindle. A great resource for using the Kindle Paperwhite. I'm sure I'lll be back from time to time to squeeze out the most from my Kindle.

Excellent plot and interesting story. Very well written. It would be a shame if it doesn't earn Amazon a Booker prize.

This is a book I go to for reference. It's pretty good, but one question I had was answered in a single sentence in the book that told me to go to an online website for the answer. Unfortunately it took me a while searching thru the book to find that sentence. A very good book for a beginner!

Life changing. Fascinating commentary on the duality of man and technology's role in mankind's development. Highly recommended for anyone interesting in the revolutionary technological wonder that is the Kindle Paperwhite.

Pretty good book. I felt like I was there. I can not see Janet being realistic, she just seems like she is too crazy to be relatable to. I did like how the author decided to kill off Janet at the end. She was really bringing me down along with the rest of the characters. I hope she doesn't come back in the next book or else I will probably stop reading this series. -Tyler

it's so entertaining, a real page turner, with some life-altering plot twists at the end of each and every chapter. Obviously, being sarcastic for fun .... decent book, quite informative on how to use a kindle.

Great character development throughout the book, this is something more than a user manual, it is actually something way more meaningful than that, I’ve stared at the book cover for 5 hours now, and I think I just understood how this is the most important book for a new kindle user. Starting with the cover design, there is simply nothing aesthetically pleasing about it, it’s just a square box with the title inside, heck even the square isn’t pretty, it is a square inside a rectangle screen makin Great character development throughout the book, this is something more than a user manual, it is actually something way more meaningful than that, I’ve stared at the book cover for 5 hours now, and I think I just understood how this is the most important book for a new kindle user. Starting with the cover design, there is simply nothing aesthetically pleasing about it, it’s just a square box with the title inside, heck even the square isn’t pretty, it is a square inside a rectangle screen making it sticking out in a weird way. But, a user manual doesn’t need a nice looking cover, just the bare title is required for the manual, and the author even took the time to add in a ‘4th Edition’ at the bottom as a way to make it seem more interesting for both newcomers and the ones who’ve seen the 3rd edition. In the table of contents, it thoroughly covers out the basics and advanced usages of the kindle paperwhite, such as how to override the current settings to get 4K display of the wordings. The author also clearly indicated that this device is also a tool for Amazon to run it’s ads for the countless users, which kind of sucks because even though you are buying a special device that is designed just for reading, you would still be monitored by the algorithm on your favourite genre, average time to finish a book, and time spent on it everyday to calculate which books to recommend to you, and if it doesn’t work, it would switch to another one and eventually you give in and click on the ‘recommended’ and buy whatever the advertisers want you to. Although there is a option to remove ads for 20 USD, it is not easy to find the option within the settings, as amazon can clearly benefit more from the advertisers than the 20 USD you paid. The chapters are also evenly divided by how important each part is for Amazon, from starting off letting you know your monitored by them, to showing you how to buy their advertised books by scrolling down, which is easier to access than to go online to find a book, and then typing out the book name in the search bar, how convenient! After reading the entire manual, I am authorised to tell every new kindle users to give this book a try before purchasing anything, as it could give you a through understanding of how the device works, and how it is working for Amazon.

There were some things I didn't understand about the latest Kindle software so I checked out this book. It wasn't all that useful and I mostly figured things out by myself.
