Confused and scared she tries to piece it all together but has no luck as the handsome stranger called Jensen Stone cant remember anything that happened..How did he get into Abby's apartment? Is he the killer? "Did you hit me?" His voice barely audible, he moistened beautiful, sculptured lips with his tongue. Abby followed the motion as though mesmerised. "No, not you, I heard your car arriving after I came around" He sounded stronger as he answered his own question. "what is your problem? Do you want to find out who knocked me out? That's very kind of you but I don't intend to involve the police"..." What would you do in this situation? Trust a handsome man who could be a killer? This is a great, fast paced, captivating read.I enjoyed the suspense and how everyone was a suspect. I was truly surprised to find out who the killer was and all the twists kept me on edge.I didn't know where the story would go and oh did it surprise me. Jenson Stone is a strong character who is used to being in control so when he cant remember what happened and how his first officer ended up strangled, things start to go downhill, fast. How did this happen? Who hit him? He remembers leaving his yacht with two crew members but everything after that is a blank. When he comes around and finds Abby staring at him everything becomes even more confusing. She thinks he may be the killer but hey who wouldn't? But Jenson is sure it wasn't him and he need to convince the gorgeous girl staring at him, her lovely green eyes filled with fear, that he is no killer.. Abby is a sharp, witty woman who is shocked with the situation she finds herself in. Could her holiday get any worse? A killer on the loose.. A man who cant remember.. More people getting hurt.. Who is the real killer?.. Check out my blog for more reviews! http://zakirrahsbookblog.blogspot.co.uk/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Zakirr...

Not a bad read, but nothing totally amazing either. I got it for free, and for a freebie it was OK. I've read worse and I've read better. Not a bad read, but nothing totally amazing either. I got it for free, and for a freebie it was OK. I've read worse and I've read better.

I honestly think this is the first chick-lit book I have also classed as being crime/thriller... to be fair it isn't a genre you'd necessarily expect to read chick-lit in. As was the case with... 98% of the books I read on this holiday this was another free Kindle book. It was better than some of the ones I read this past two weeks but honestly, in my opinion, not by much. Most of my notes aren't good for this so skip to the last paragraph for a mini summary. It was better than some of the ones I read this past two weeks but honestly, in my opinion, not by much. Most of my notes aren't good for this so skip to the last paragraph for a mini summary. Firstly - our heroine struck me as being... moronic? Idiotic? Something along those lines. Now, honestly - if you walked into a holiday apartment, found a dead body and then a handsome man walked out of the bathroom would you really react the way the lead (I've forgotten all names (I did read like 26/27 books in 10 days - that is a lot of characters!) so please bear with me when I describe them instead) does here? If it were me, I'd have called the police as soon as I saw the body and got the hell out of the flat. But that is just me... maybe I am the odd one for thinking that is the sane thing to do. Also, at 8% "... in her heart of hearts she couldn't bring herself to believe he could have [killed someone]..." - this after what, 10 minutes with the chap? Our female lead must have an incredible superhuman judge of character. Secondly - complete lack of survival instincts. This is portrayed in various parts of the book but the stand out to me was having to climb to safety and saying you can't climb. Again, might just be me but if I was running for my life I'd give it a damned good effort before giving up... oh, and swiftly following that section is escaping with your life, but failing to immediately go to the police and instead going home to change... Thirdly - and this is a peeve I am starting to get with a lot of chick-lit authors so nothing against the author here, but do characters in books miraculously live in worlds without STDs? I ask because this is the second book in 10 days to have the 'oh I'm on the pill' moment which apparently stops all unwarranted reactions to sex... what is this a mega-pill? I get that books are an escape from the real world but... some realism/sensibilities are, for me, required. That said, the plot wasn't... too bad. Some twists, some turns, some expected some not so much. Overall I found this to be relatively standard chick-lit fair, it is one of those books where if I accidentally stumble across more books by this author it won't be the end of the world but I didn't like it enough to really make a note of the authors name or add more books to my to read list.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I read it, I didn't hate it, but I didn't really like it. Thank goodness it was free. This author does entirely too much telling and not enough showing. The characters were very boring, the dialogue rather wooden and the romance lacked something... The heroine was okay...a little weepy for my tastes. Our millionaire stud was kind of a jack ass. He'd get grumpy and snappish and say something mean or demeaning to her. And the woman just took it. Yeah, she'd be pissed off in her head, but then she' I read it, I didn't hate it, but I didn't really like it. Thank goodness it was free. Yeah, she'd be pissed off in her head, but then she's kissing him and they're flirting happily again. I never really got invested in these characters - probably because I didn't like them all that much. Oh, and the murder mystery - really predictable. And of course the killer has the cliche motor mouth where he has to explain every last motivation and tie up every last detail so we completely understand the reason behind every last action.

The characters and action were good. But it was very easy to anticipate who the murderer was.
