Bowden does a decent job describing various aspects of "winning" body language. After far too much intro (who would be reading a book on body language if they weren't already convinced that "communicating is more than words"...?), Bowden begins with a few chapters describing the "planes" your hands may occupy while speaking, from the grotesque below the waste, to the truth plane at the waist, to the passion plane above the waste, etc. There's some decent info in here but I found Bowden's conversa Bowden does a decent job describing various aspects of "winning" body language. Good information that is geared towards the business professional so not exactly the information I was looking for, and it was presented in a machismo kind of fashion, Type A, high-powered business exec. Not my cup of tea but decent info.

I've read a few books on body language, but this one was definitely a worthwhile addition to the books on the subject. The Bowden/Ford combination gave it a nice pragmatism for the sales discipline. Highly recommended for those with a good interest in psychology. I've read a few books on body language, but this one was definitely a worthwhile addition to the books on the subject. A nice read for those who are in communication or are into speaking business. Recommended for people learning the art of body language.

Don't waste your time with this one. Great speaker, not much of a writer and neither the content of this book. Don't waste your time with this one. Great speaker, not much of a writer and neither the content of this book.

Yeeep I love a quality posture

Poorly written, self congratulatory, frequently cites unsubstantiated "facts." I rarely ever quit on a book before completing it, but this wasted enough of my time.
