I'm a little annoyed that we aren't at the end of this little mystery on the island. It was interesting what Cal and Ryan learned and how they managed to get around on the island under the eye of the bad guys. It seems like there might be more than meets the eye with this one. BB seemed overly occupied, strange because one of the people involved was his daughter. I don't like how this one ended, it really doesn't look good for the brothers. Conspiracy 365: Black Ops: Hunted is another exciting chapter in the ever-perilous life of Cal Ormond. Cal is still on Shadow Island trying to save his friends and his twin brother while also trying to save the world. (That is a lot of saving he must do.) He and his friends find themselves in constant danger as they try to outwit the bad guys and figure out why five cities have been marked on a map. That is never a good thing. He and his friends find themselves in constant danger as they try to outwit the bad guys and figure out why five cities have been marked on a map. That is never a good thing. I have liked the character of Cal Ormond since I read the first book in the Conspiracy 365 series. He is a good kid that finds himself in situations that he must think is way out of. Does he always make the right choices? Nope, but who does? This is what makes him human. He gets hurt. He struggles to survive. He isn't perfect. He is like all of us. He is someone readers can acknowledge and accept as one of their own, albeit he may have an Australian accent. Still, he is someone that readers can relate to, which makes him the perfect lead character in this series. Once again, author Gabrielle Lord breathes life into the thrilling world of Cal Ormond. She knows how to write an exciting story that will keep young readers engrossed in the plot. Sure, some of it is far-fetched, but this isn't supposed to be real. This is a thriller for young readers. Is a James Bond movie real? Nope. Is it realistic that a hero in an action movie can avoid hundred of bullets sent his way, while he can take out the bad guys with only a couple of shots? Nope, again. So, like any thrilling story for young readers, you must take this one with a grain of salt. Is it exciting. Yes. Will it keep you interested? Oh, yes. Is it realistic? No, not really. But, who cares? It's fun, and that is all that really matters. Young readers will love it. Like all of the books in this series, I enjoyed this one. I did rate it a little lower than I normally do mostly because I felt this book may have been a little too far-fetched. That's not to say that it is bad. No, it is fun and exciting, but just not quite as good as the previous books. I am hoping that the conclusion to this three-book series will end in one whopper of a story. Overall, Conspiracy 365: Black Ops: Hunted is a good story that will keep the reader coming back for me. So, if you are looking for a series for your middle school children to read, or for you to read, you cannot go wrong with the Conspiracy 365 series. Even as an adult I have enjoyed this series and take it for what it is: a young reader thriller. I cannot wait to see how it all ends in Conspiracy 365: Black Ops: Endgame. I bet Gabrielle Lord will not disappoint. Bring it on! I rated this book a 7½ out of 10.

I suggested that the library purchased this book as they had the Conspiracy 365 series and Black Ops Book #1. After reading Hunted I think, it was worth the wait. It’s a really great book and will interest people who have read the conspiracy 365 series before. It also will introduce new readers to the action and thrill from Gabrielle Lord. -Ben K

I have read what, fifteen books in this series so far? Something like that. You would think that I would be used to it by now. I'm not. It still shocks me to see these completely ridiculous situations being taken so seriously. Nothing that happens in these books are even borderline reasonable. You would have to be as thick as two bloody bricks to not shake your head with utter disbelief at the crap that is printed before you. Sorry if that's blunt but I am officially done with this seriously. Th I have read what, fifteen books in this series so far? Something like that. You would think that I would be used to it by now. Sorry if that's blunt but I am officially done with this seriously. The "mysteries" are so obviously organised to work in Cal's favour it isn't even funny. Let me you leave with this quote. If if doesn't sum up the entire series and how "convienent" everything is for Cal then I don't know will. ""I hope we aren't making too much noise," said Cal. "What we need is one of those tropical downpours." As if by magic, thunder rumbled overhead and a tropical rainstorm exploded around us, the rain falling straight down, heavy and loud... The hammering rain gave us just the cover we needed..."

Hunted Conspiracy 365 Black Ops is the sixteenth book in the Conspiracy 365 series by Australian author Gabrielle Lord, and the second in the Black Ops trilogy. Cal manages a surprise escape from certain discovery in the resort manager’s office, and things continue in an often fantastic, occasionally unbelievable and usually unimaginable manner from then on: it is easy to see how these books appeal to youth readers. This instalment has tunnels under graves, military equipment, mining machinery, and an underground laboratory with strange creatures, a set of rucksacks with military rations, passports and sealed envelopes of instructions. Cal is plagued by intermittent contact with SI-6, as well as search parties, a text message riddle, cryptic files, the threat of exposure and, all the while, the island’s volcano rumbles ominously in the background. The middle of this book is somewhat slow-moving and repetitive, but the action hots up at the end for another cliff-hanger climax. Some editions feature a lenticular panel giving the cover a 3D look. In keeping with the countdown theme, the pages run in reverse order and the chapter headings count down the days remaining. Cal and Ryan again feature in this book, with Boges and Winter giving support off-island. It will be interesting to see how al the loose ends are resolved in Black-Ops #3, Endgame.
