I picked up Remember Me and stayed glued to my Kindle for the entire ride. It's such an engaging story, I just couldn't put it down!!! Ison's writing is smooth and her descriptive style really places the reader right in the story, experiencing it all. But it's the mystery and the characters that truly drive this story ... oh! such an amazing tale!!! Conflicted characters, mysterious motives, and some seriously awesome plot twists fill the pages of this novella. Remember Me is a poetic masterpiece of intrigue, suspense and a touch of paranormal romance. As with everything this author writes, the prose flows through my head like silk and weaves the story like a piece of art I can see behind my eyes. I just sat down and read this book in one satisfying gulp. I’ve always loved Amaleen Ison’s writing and this short work is no different. Her ability to weave plot, engaging characters and mystery in a poetic telling makes an awesome reading experience. I highly recommend Remember Me. The mix of fantasy and romance will leave you wanting more from this talented author. Seriously, what are you waiting for?

Remember me is one of the most beautiful, imaginative, dark, chilling, and intriguing tales I have read in a long time. On top of that, Ms Ison’s writing is nothing short of poetic, but without feeling forced or overdone, and her smooth style sucks you so fast and deep into her created world, the reader has no yen to leave until they have uncovered all the truths. And the uncovering of said truths only adds to the mystery, because this tale is so artfully woven, and the reveals drip-fed exactly when and where the author wants them, that the reader will spend the entire time speculating—right up until the very end. Far too often in these kinds of tales, the big reveal, the answers to the mystery, can leave the reader feeling slightly deflated. That wasn’t the case with Remember Me. Because the ending will blow apart any notions the reader may have come up with, and is so beautiful, you will be left with a feeling of warmth, of wanting, of hoping, and of belonging, and quite possibly with a small tear in your eye. This is only the second tale of have read by this fledgling author, but the vast differences between the two tales leaves me wondering just how diverse Ms Ison is capable of being. So keep an eye out, because this is one to watch. I, for one, will be checking for new releases from this lady. I’ve had a taste of what she can give me. Now … I want more.

What a fantastic little story. I just loved it! Now, I say little, because it is a novella, and only about 50 pages. But, those 50 pages are fictional gold. The descriptions are so vivid, as if Ms. Ison is painting a portait in your mind. So clear you can just sit back and watch the story unfold. I just love when a story can do that. Make the words disappear and you are left watching a film — a mental movie of the book you’re reading. I really felt IN the story beside Sera throughout her struggle What a fantastic little story. I really felt IN the story beside Sera throughout her struggles to understand what is happening to her. The characterizations are just as strong. Each of the characters in the story, from the more prevalent, Sim, Father and Noah, to the less seen, Martha and Angela — each one completely flesh out and three dimensional. I don’t do spoilers in my reviews, so the excerpt and blurb will have to give you enough clues to go by. I’ll not be adding any. Sorry, folks. You will have to just content yourself with knowing how much I enjoyed the short read, and how highly I recommend it to all the YA fan out there, as well as anyone who just enjoys a great, well written story.

Was rather disappointed that it was such a short story. The idea/plot was one that had the potential to be a good full length book. However, once cramped into 46 pages, it was rushed and the characters did not get the full development that they rightly deserved. As a result, the book fell apart and turned out to not be that great.

First person, present tense; these two things alone usually make me put down a book, and yet I not only read Remember Me, but rated it four stars. Those four stars are due to the sheer power of this story and the incredible fluidity with which Remember Me was written. EXCELLENT!

This book kept me enthralled from the first page. I really believe that the author could do so much more with this story. This was almost a morsel for something more intriguing to follow. I did not want the end to be the end. I actually was hoping for more to follow. Wow, what I did read really was great. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this short story.
