It doesn't spoil any plot point or anything, but I know some people (like myself) are spoiler sensitive. (view spoiler)[I am not a prude in any capacity when it comes to my smutty reading. BUT I had a HUGE problem that Madison got so sex crazed that she forgot about her fucking boyfriend (who she LOVES) and went whore wild in an orgy. It would be different if Adam was participating the whole time, but she gets one finger in her ass and the chick went crazy! That killed it for me. It no longer felt like an adventurous sexual experiment....it just felt, for lack of a better word, like cheating. Didn't matter that Adam set everything up....she still was so crazed with cock that she didn't notice him pull out of her and leave the room when he got upset! SELFISH! It was supposed to be something they did together, but she quickly forgot all about him. And because of that, I'm sorry but she is forever tainted with that memory in my head. (hide spoiler)] And then the last half of the book: Why, you ask? One word....MADISON. She couldn't get her head out of her ass. You know, for a counselor, she's pretty fucking dense. Adam is only about a year clean...where's her counselor's patience? She always wanted to "talk" but never went about actually pushing for a conversation? How about stop fantasizing about cock in your ass for about two seconds to "talk" about the issues you're having? Hmmm?? I need to stop, this is getting me pissed off again. What did I love? One word....ADAM!! His vulnerability tugged at my heartstrings!! Which is another reason Madison pissed me off! She's one of the only people he's ever opened up to about his family and past....where the fuck was her understanding?? She knows about his lack of impulse control and his spontaneous personality. UGH, I'm getting worked up again! So, there you have it. A book that started out great, pissed me the fuck off and then slowly brought me down and finished with agitated. Will I continue on with the series? Absolutely. Will I go into Adam and Madison's next book Tame Me biased and angry? Absolutely.

Her obsession with anal sex just bothers me and the good girl routine coupled with the over sexually appetite annoys me. Adam is sweet and in this book he has a ring waiting to put on Madison’s hand. Madison just lost her job due to her relationship as counselor with Adam and is looking for some fun. What she didn’t expect was a crazy stalker or meeting the pregnant chick on the tour bus, you remember her…Lindsey. Sadly, no baby daddy news in this book. ”So what’s the story with Lindsey?” Adam gifts Madison with a visit to that sex club that they all frequent in New Orleans and he has set it up in like a chess board where she is the Queen and he is the King and other masked people are allowed if agreed upon by the Queen to participate. This scene turned seriously awkward and believable I thought Olivia Cunning did a great job with it. "Well, you definitely got into the game, my queen," Adam said. "You didn't refuse anything." Mounted with the mishap at the sex club is the wedding proposal fail and well you get the drift that things aren’t so easy in this couple’s book. ”Can’t we just have fun, make love, no pressure?” **I really liked Adam and Nikki’s interactions and was a bit disappointed that Jess survived her fall because a switch of partner for him would totally be okay with me. ** Overall, I’m a huge Shade and Owen fan but this story was okay just that I don’t like Madison and hope Nikki will have a shot in Adam’s next book.

I almost skipped this because their first book was sooo cheesy and I only rated it 2 1/2 stars! I'm really glad I gave it a go because it was pretty good. Starts off with Madison being fired from her job as an addiction counselor for having a relationship with Adam. She decides she might as well take off and join him on tour. Adam, of course, takes full advantage, showing up on a motorcycle in time to rescue Madison from some creeper (more on him later). They spend some time getting Madison decked out in leathers along with the obligatory sex scene and fight with the jealous and ex lover salesclerk. Then, they're off to enjoy New Orleans. Adam keeps Madison on the edge since he has plans to take her to a sex club the next night. And....that's where things take a left turn. The sex club = not. a. good. idea. I really don't think Adam thought that through especially since he knows how much Madison loves butt sex! But do things get better from there? Nope! Adam pulls an even bigger surprise the next day and of course, Madison does the exact opposite of what you would think she would. (Okay, so I'm a little happy about that since it spices up things.) However, it ends up with Madison flying home. Adam who's been having a hard time writing lyrics is suddenly on a roll. He's also found a new friend and possible muse...which I'm guessing is not going to please someone but the band is happy nevertheless. Unfortunately, things don't go well for Madison. She's hit with some bad news and is thrown...literally. Luckily, this brings Adam a-runnin'! It does end well for Adam and Madison...for the moment. There's a few other things going on with the band members and their respective women. And yes, Lindsay is still hanging around! And that creeper? Yea, he keeps showing up and freaking me out. I foresee only bad things coming from him...until Adam gets a hold of him! Adam and Madison's story picks back up in the twelfth book, Tame Me. ♦ Adam's Novellas: Tempt Me #2, Tease Me #7 and Tame Me #12 ♦ Favorite quotes: ♥ "Maybe there was a place between his shadows and her radiance where they could exist together in harmony." ♥ “Don’t be sorry—we all have our weaknesses. Mine are of a chemical nature. You just crave butt sex.” ♥ "I feel less broken now than I did when I left you." ♥ “I don’t know, Madison,” he said. “I’m not sure you’ll ever be able to give me a proper hand job again.”

3.5-4 stars! The men of Sole Regret are back! This is Adam and Madison's second book. If you are not familiar with the series, each guy (5 of them) in the band has his own book describing how in one night they either meet someone, or start something new with someone they've known for a while. The series then continues with with a second round for everyone, getting a little deeper into their relationship. For Adam and Madison, he is an ex-addict, and she was his drug counselor. The series then continues with with a second round for everyone, getting a little deeper into their relationship. For Adam and Madison, he is an ex-addict, and she was his drug counselor. They've known each other for a year, but have been sleeping together for awhile. During Madison's last visit to the band, the two decided to be more exclusive. Their story began in Tempt Me, which is book 2. This one surprised me in a couple ways. I have to say that Adam was my least favorite band member. He was very moody, and I wasn't sure I liked him. Madison and him just didn't fit. When we met her last time, she had made him cookies or brownies or some kind of baked good, to give him when she saw him. She is just a goody goody, who is wild in bed. Let's just say I wasn't a fan, and kind of cared less if they ended up together. During this book I started to really like Adam, and kind of loathe Madison. The scene at the sex club was pretty fucked up. Adams plan back fired on him, and I felt so bad. (view spoiler)[ Poor guy! He didn't think she'd want to have sex with strangers, and she ended up having a crazy orgy with them, and didn't even realize that Adam had left in the beginning. Shameless! Then the next day, he asks her to marry him!!! WTF?!?! (hide spoiler)] I'm glad I read this, even though I wasn't completely thrilled with the story. I still enjoyed it because I am a sucker for this series and all of Olivia Cunnings work. Just excited to get back to Shade/Jacob, who is next. His first book gave me my most memorable sex scene ever, and he is my favorite in the band.

3.5 Really, Madison??? Confusing Stars I adore Olivia Cunning. I love her rock-star series, both of them - Sinners On Tour and One Night with Sole Regret. I read each and every one of them. Backstage Pass is CLASSIC! But this one... This uber obsession with the back-door play for a woman didn't sound very realistic to me. Sure you can love it, Madison, but you are not putting it above and beyond everything in a relationship! And if you are a freaking counselor, be more articulate, for God's sake. Try to explain your reasons to your lover/ex-client, instead of leaving him hanging and thinking that you liked him only because he is well-hung and is awesome in bed. Especially knowing about his abandonment issues. Now, Adam... To leave your partner to be gang-banged if you got her involved into this situation in the first place, even if she seemingly enjoyed it, and then to be holding a grudge, it's not okay for me either. Even if you are quickly getting over it and proposing a marriage???? Not even then. Everything was kind of rushed and smudged, to the point that I stopped caring about both of them. So to me, Adam and Madison (especially!) were not at their highest in this series... Sure I will be reading the next coming series - I NEED THEM!, but this one was not my favorite...

But with the mention of Shade and Adam in Insider, I immediately one-clicked Tease Me needing to know what had Shade sending that note to Reagan. When Madison finds herself jobless and in the arms of Adam she isn’t quite ready for the HEA he seems to want. For the first time Adam’s wild side is calming down as he looks to what he wants his future to look like, and it looks a lot like Madison in his arms. But when the going gets tough, Madison runs, leaving Adam reeling. And ready to fight. Although I did enjoy this installment I have to say I was not a very happy camper with the particular scene at the club where Adam takes Madison. I get that it played a role in the story, but I sort of had a WTF moment. This definitely could have been a 4 to a 5 star read, but that particular scene just took it down a notch. It was difficult to find it sexy and it broke a little bit of the bond I was feeling with Madison. I am looking forward to see what is to come of these characters and how Adam’s actions at the end of this book will impact the rest of the Sole Regret series, but just felt like some of the particulars in this one just didn’t fit the story well.

For the first time in his life he's experiencing a deeper connection to a person, a lover. And, he's serious about Madison. He's also impulsive and still has lots of anger issues. Madison is meeting Adam in New Orleans for an extended weekend break between gigs. And he has BIG plans. Madison has just been fired from her job--somehow her boss learned about her relationship with Adam. She jets off to meet him in New Orleans and has to deal with Adam's sexy teasing, and jealous former flames all in the first half-hour after landing. Oh, and a couple hours later she meets the groupie who joined the Sole Regret Tour 6 months pregnant with the child of, well, any one of the band members. It's a lot for Madison to accept. But, she does, because her heart is set on Adam, and he seems totally into her, as well. As the weekend plays out, however, Madison is approached by a man from her flight so many times he seems to be stalking her. And, her and Adam's sexy scene he had all scoped out in a private sex club turns out to be a HUGE, [email protected] is probably the best term to describe it. Impetuous Adam does venture into a big relationship step, one Madison hadn't seen coming and she knows she's not ready, but she can't figure out why. She loves Adam, has loved him for a long time. A brief pause allows both Adam and Madison to examine what they each want in life--and if they are strong enough to fight for their heart's desire. In true Cunning form there's a whole lot of sexy, but it didn't go down like I had expected. At. All. These characters grow in totally different ways in this book, and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. Madison seems to outgrow some of her insecurity and stands up for herself several times, against Adam, against her stalker, and against her family. She's become a stronger woman, and I like that. Adam was the member of SOLE REGRET I liked the least, and I was REALLY happy to find out more about him, and the sincerity of his feelings for Madison. There are plenty of run-ins with the rest of the band members, and their assorted gals, but the camaraderie Adam lacked in previous books is present here. He has regained the trust of his dearest friends, and the love of a good woman. It was a very satisfying read.

I started reading the Sole Regret series one night when I found one of her combined books and thought that I could read a little and be done without staying up all night to get to the end of the book. I figured if it actually had three books I could get through one quickly and get to sleep. I was very, very wrong. Now this is another series I have to keep up with and wait for the next in the series. I love this book, this series, all of it and find myself dying for the next one to come out. I was expecting more... I don't think I like either Adam or Madison very much. He cares too much about how others see him, he's too impulsive and when he gets what he wants it's displeased that he did! Dude make up your mind! She's too rational sometimes, I don't think she really knows if she truly loves Adam or not, and, as her partner, she kind of flips out when she gets what she really wants. In a way, with their "I really want this, bud god what am I doing with it now that I have it"-attitude I was expecting more... I don't think I like either Adam or Madison very much. I am a big Olivia Cunning fan, but unfortunately this was not one of my favorites. Maybe it has something to do with this series dragging out and taking so long between books. I have to say, after all the wait for this installment, I really wanted it to blow me away. The stalker situation was a complete joke, and it didn't seem to have any lasting repercussions on the overall plot. I found myself totally confused with much of what happened in this story and it wasn't woven together well at all. I've got another couple of chances for this series, but after this, I'm hard pressed to continue on with it.

It's been a long time since I've read a book from this series and I don't know what happened but all the characters started to annoy the hell out of me! I don't know if I like any of them anymore! I enjoyed this series when I started it but now it seems like a soap opera. I'm going to finish "One Night with Sole Regret" when all books come out but I don't know how I feel about it anymore. I'm not a huge fan of how wishy washy Madison got in this one, but the sex club was awesome and the mystery man has me intrigued! I'm not a huge fan of how wishy washy Madison got in this one, but the sex club was awesome and the mystery man has me intrigued!

I think I need to reconstruct my Sole Regret "fuck-it list" and move Adam up to number one. I adored him in this one and can't wait for "Tame Me" to fall in love with him even more. There were a few pieces missing in this one though. I can't really wrap my head around Adam's whole sex club plan. In "Touch Me" he freaked out at the thought that Madison's fantasy could evolve another man touching her. Yet he now he spends a week planning how to make Madison crazy with desire for two days straight t I think I need to reconstruct my Sole Regret "fuck-it list" and move Adam up to number one. Madison should actually be a queen after finally being the one who actually said something about a paternity test happening BEFORE the baby is born! The more we find out about Lindsey I've slowly gotten more hopeful that she really is just bat shit crazy and will just go away. Maybe that's just wishful thinking? But there wasn't anything additional played after Madison saw her whispering and then leaving after Jordan. All I know is that in both Chris and Nikki better be not interfere in Adam and Madison's third book. I'm also really starting to wonder what on earth comes next for Jacob after having being bruised from Tina in the last book and now in this one his saying life is enough of a nightmare already?

When OC sticks to erotica, her work is fun. The idea(s) here with this text, however, just did not hang together. Professional therapist falls for her addict client. If not, how does Madison completely fall in love with Adam? And who was that creepy stalker who cornholed the therapist in the in a sex club? The stalker is introduced into the text, and then just miraculously stops stalking the protagonist. Yeah, right. Nikki continues to appear in the text, but her damage is explored for a few pages, and then disappears. Is she supposed to be some foil to Madison? If so, she needs to be better woven into the text than just a few pages after Madison leaves Adam. Normally OC writes very tight plots. She introduces characters and brings them through to the end of the text. Not here. What a hot mess.

Boy Oh Boy, I have missed these guys, I haven't picked up a OC book in almost a year, and yet still I picked up this one and fell right back into it, I really like the worlds that she creates, the flawed characters that she make me fall in love with. Now Adam and Madison's relationship was not one that I was on board with in the beginning, I mean it crosses some serious ethical and professional lines, but at the same time, when I read about these two, I understand the attraction. I believe that this book made me just support these two on an even deeper level. I think that Adam is one of those really troubled kids who grows into a really troubled adult, but the difference is he has so many people around him who are willing to help in anyway possible, but he doesn't know how to open up to them. That is probably why Madison is so perfect for him, she knows the dark side, and she have choosen to love him inspite of it, and she is very patient with him, (though, I hated her towards the end) but I guess she is human too, and her feelings get hurt and she gets scared it just came as a surprise to both of us.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. MAJOR SPOILERS - I found parts of the book and particularly the female characters annoying. Madison has devolved into a needy, indecisive whiner who was beyond stupid thinking she would not get outed at some point and fired for ethically crossing the line - really? And the guy you are in love with proposes and you can't find a nice way to say "I love you but can you give me a little time..." Did not warm to her before, but after this book I don't really care to read any more about her. I kind of MAJOR SPOILERS - I found parts of the book and particularly the female characters annoying. I kind of liked Adam's development after his big 'oops maybe having the woman I loved involved in a gang bang ain't so hot..." He at least found a little clarity, but I just could not get the ongoing attraction between them. I found all the rough sex not very sexy and the angst made the book hard to finish - Disappointed and not sure if I will continue with series... 2 Stars

This book was a lot darker than the others in the series have been...by a mile. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat (figuratively speaking) a couple of times. It's also set up some minor (and one not-so-minor) plot points to come to fruition later, all without it being a cliffhanger ending! This series is so darn good that I read through books 2 - 8 so fast that I don't remember what happened in each book individually. The story lines flowed through each characters books effortlessly. Therefore, I am writing one review for all 7 books. I am actually glad that I read this part of the story out of order! I was left with a HUGE cliffhanger in book #8 and this book answered a lot of those questions, soothing many of those need to know feelings. I still hope that Olivia's muse doesn't leave us hanging too long because there is more to the story that I really want to know but some of the big questions have been answered. There will be no video review for the book. For other video book reviews check out my YouTube Channel Stephanie Unc I am actually glad that I read this part of the story out of order!
