Ellipse A Collection of Transnational and Post-Colonial Poetry is a collection of poetry that ranges from modern to mythical and includes topics from the futurism of space to the Australian landscape. Some of the genres represented are: the verse novel, villanelle, the sonnet, ballad and opera. Whether you like poetry or not, this book brings out a range of emotions that all can easily feel. I especially liked "Ellypsus - An epic. "There is a people who exist between the boundaries within the Earth, their Kingdom can be found amongst the Trees, in humble abodes built up from the mud, they singularly subsist off the ground, living as a collective under the Crown. " This is the first verse of "Ellypsus". Anything mythical or of fantasy takes you to a world different from our own or does it? You decide. I liked this book.

an amazing read! full of imaginative and coulourful poems and other treats. The Jane Eyre musical was a particular highlight but my favourite poem was 'voices in the dark' was filled with references to the theater and the experiences being at the theater brings. an amazing read! full of imaginative and coulourful poems and other treats.
