The title on this is very misleading. Most of the recipes are for desserts and sides. The supper recipes are salt, fat, and processed food at its finest. Also 45 to 60 minutes is not quick.

I downloaded this book for free off of Amazon. A lot of the recipes are quick and easy because they rely on boxed soup mix or canned ingredients. Most of the dinner recipes I already had a recipe I used for such as tacos, spaghetti, and sloppy Joes. I want to try the cheddar garlic biscuits. My favorite part of the book were the little useful tips and drawings they peppered in between recipes.

Love that I don't have to make biscuits, can use canned biscuits Good recipe ideas. Some recipes i will be trying soon. Can't wait to try the left over sloppy Joe recipe. Sounds yummy. Not the best that Gooseberry Patch has produced over the years, as I find that many of the recipes rely on cans or boxed mixes as a primary ingredient. The golden Cheddar biscuits were very good, and the twice-baked potato casserole was not bad either, though a trifle heavy on the sour cream--3 cups! The recipes were quick and easy, but unimaginative to a certain degree, and a few just looked like a few cans and boxes in the pantry had been dumped together. Only a few recipes are keepers for me.

This is a cute little book with some recipes that sound very appealing. I plan to try the Peach Crinkle, the Beef and Noodle recipe and several others that I have bookmarked. Most are old time recipes that are LOADED with fats, calories and processed foods. I would not want my family to eat most of these recipes.
