Since Damon’s dark past has remained hidden for so long, Jo’s investigation puts her dangerously close to jeopardizing her already fragile relationship with the man she loves. Jo has a promising future at her fingertips; she must decide if revealing the truth to Damon is a gamble she’s willing to take. From the moment they met they felt this strong connection that couldn’t be denied. And what a roller-coaster of events, emotions, secrets and lies as their worlds collided! In Accept Me (part 3) Damon and Jo have come a long way from their fateful meeting. Their past, present and future seems to be coming together. But with more shocking revelations followed by news of something dark and sinister set out to hurt them at end of part 2 it’s clear that their story is far from over, setting their journey on a tailspin of angst, suspenseand danger to the very last page… Seven words to describe Damon Cole: Captivating, secretive, complex, commanding, vulnerable, sexy and relentless. Seven words to describe Josephine Geroux, Jo: Independent, lonely, strong, broken, determined, frank and endearing. Accept Me has the perfect conclusion to Damon and Jo’s journey, but not before taking me on yet another ride. I was holding on for dear life not knowing how they were going to make it through. Yet somehow Damon and Jo got their euphoric ending with all the happiness these two souls deserved. I have enjoyed every moment of this roller-coaster ride! Captivating journey! I Have never given a 2 Star rating before. NEVER !!!! If I don't like a book that much, I don't rate it. I don't mark as read I just move on. However, this year I promised myself that if I was going to be TOTALLY 100% honest in those types of reviews. SO if I really hated it I'm still gonna tell ya why. WHAT HAPPENED? OMG worse day ever finding that out. And while I did enjoy Restore Me, it so was not up to par with Wreck Me. Read my Review HERE NOW Accept Me was just I don't even know! It felt like their voices had changed. They didn't seem like the same characters. I don't know maybe it's just been that long since i've read them I forgot them?? We spent the first 30% just recapping what went down in book 1 and 2 and the rest was hardly and dialogue between each other just more internal dialogue. I felt Damon and Jo changed too much for me to love them any more. With everything that happened in Restore Me the way her treated her I should of been done then. I'm sure J.L has her reasons for splitting book 2 and 3 when she could of done it in one. But personally for me it just doesn't make sense. We wait for Months and months, forgetting about the story line only to release a 147 page book and of that the first 30% is recapping the first books? hmmm I'm sure some a gonna love it and that's fine but for me it just didn't live up to the first book. Very disappointing. 2 Stars.

This was a quick read, and I am not happy about that at all. This book was an effing novella, at best, but read more like an epilogue or something. I am so disappointed in this book, I felt like there was so much internal dialogue in this, not as much character interaction or dialogue. We barely saw Damon, and when we did, he was mostly being a cold, asshat. Jo didn't seem like herself, even if there ultimately was a reason. I missed the hard-nosed, takes no shit chick we met in book one. She seemed to roll over and take what she was handed here! Some of events or plot twists in the book were predictable and were revealed or hinted at in book two; Edward certainly wasn't a surprise. All of that situation with Edward was over way too quickly, too. I like the ultimate conclusion for Jo and Damon, but there was very little else I really liked about this book. I mean, was it going to end another way? We really don't hear whether Damon and his mom resolve anything or heal any wounds. We don't even get to see the actual wedding!!! WTF? I have invested my time, money and emotions on these books and I truly feel like this was not a fitting conclusion in the fact that it was choppy and way too short, and too much back info. I feel cheated out of something, I still am not sure what. Just didn't leave me with happy, warm fuzzies like I wanted it to. Sorry...just being honest, I really am upset with this book. For the first time, I really almost feel like the series was drawn out to earn a few extra bucks. Most other Indie authors charge $.99 for a book this length and have the decency to title it a novella, or 2.5 in a series. I am sorry I am being so harsh, I was so underwhelmed by this.

I'm going to be brutally honest here... this is not what I was expecting at all. Nothing like the first two books... even the characters felt different. It was the strangest experience for me. Like I knew who was who and what went for what, but it felt more like an out-of-body experience where I was reading about them through someone else (& not the author's) eyes. It sounds crazy, I know... but I kept wondering if J.L. Mac actually wrote this book herself. My first thought when I got to 30% was I'm going to be brutally honest here... this is not what I was expecting at all. Nothing like the first two books... even the characters felt different. It sounds crazy, I know... but I kept wondering if J.L. Mac actually wrote this book herself. My first thought when I got to 30% was 'hang on... is this the right book?' then once I'd checked to see I was indeed reading the correct book my thoughts went to confused. The first half of the book wasn't even focused around Damon and Jo much. It went around Grams and Noni (the lady who works at Jo's bookstore) and I couldn't help but come to the conclusion that this was all done up to make the book feel longer... which, BTW isn't saying much since the entire book took me 2 hours to read - shocking! It wasn't a full novel at all. In fact this book could really just have been added to Restore Me, ending this series at two instead of three books and call it a day. It wasn't worth an entire book on its own - that's how little is actually added here. There 147 pages that make up Accept Me is honestly just not worth a whole new book. Sad. But very true. What makes matters worse for me, is that I was a huge cheerleader of both Wreck Me & Restore Me. Again a series (or trilogy rather) ends in a manner that it just didn't need to. It felt half written, disjointed and honestly undeserving of a 5 star rating. We get very very little of Damon and Jo together. Majority of the time they are apart. Most of the time the focus is on something other than their actual relationship and I'm hugely disappointed in the outcome of this book. Not only are they not together often - 40% of the book is about them actually being broken up. Damon's a real dick towards Jo and at the very end of the book it all tries to come back together but fails miserably! Damon spends about thirty pages ripping Jo apart and then one paragraph explaining his actions to her and trying to get her back. This doesn't work for me. Not at all. He kind of lost me as a fan at that point. Even his reasons for his behavior is silly. But Jo just sucks it all in a melts... back into his arms... Really? She wasn't the determined, spirited woman we meet in book one. She was someone else. Both of them were... Impostors! I'm not sure what the reason for the turn of event is but all I'm saying is that don't expect much of what you are probably expecting and don't hold your breathe to be blown away by this one. It's not gonna happen. Truth be told this book probably deserves less than a 4 star rating, but I'll give the score to the writing and overall effect that - when the going was good... it was pretty cool. But as a whole this tale doesn't deserve much more than maybe 3 stars for the uniqueness of the plot. It's been done before. More than once and if I had even the slightest interest in doing so, I might actually be able to do some homework and name a handful of books that are exactly the same (plot wise) as this one was. But I couldn't really care to invest anymore time on Accept Me. Thank God it was only a 2 hour read in the first place or else we'd have bigger issues on our hands than me just being peeved at the end result. I guess I should have know since this book doesn't have a sexy couple on the front. I should of known. 4 Stars for the writing style. Even though it was a sucky book overall - it was pleasant enough to actually read. 3 Stars for the actual plot, storyline and turn of events that left me questioning if I actually read Wreck Me & Restore Me correctly. 1 Star for the amount of steam present in this (as per the first two books) 'adult erotic type romance'! Overall Series Rating: I'll go with a 4 just because I had my heart ripped out when I got handed a poor, over-played and inconsistent conclusion for this series.

Really disappointed in this "book". First off, it was more of a novella than anything. Second, for the majority it just summarized the first two books. And the "twists"? were SO obvious it was so anti-clamatic when the climax came and went. Not what I had hoped for in the final installment. The first book was great and showed a lot of promise. The second was a bit limp, and this book was just blah. Not sure if I'll be buying from this author in the future if this is what we can expect from her. Really disappointed in this "book". Way too short. Waited a whole year for an ending that should have either been in book two or just combined all 3 books into one novel. Greedy is what this trilogy reminds me of. From the very beginning of this series J.L. This was an emotional roller coaster that had me holding my breath so many times without even knowing I was doing it until I let it out. I lost count of the number of times I could feel my heart pounding in excitement and fear. And in true J.L. fashion, the gasps and Oh Em Gee's were endless. She keeps me always wanting more. 'Wreck Me' and 'Restore me' were excellent books, so I couldn't wait to read 'Accept Me'. Everything had been set up for this to be a cracking finale. The secrets and revelations were bound to lead to consequences for everyone. What I will say is if you have read WM and RM then yes, this does conclude matters. But.... Yes there is a huge 'but', because whilst it has some emotion, although nothing on the scale of the previous books, it lacks structure; it felt rushed and skipped forward in time to 'Wreck Me' and 'Restore me' were excellent books, so I couldn't wait to read 'Accept Me'. Yes there is a huge 'but', because whilst it has some emotion, although nothing on the scale of the previous books, it lacks structure; it felt rushed and skipped forward in time too often (we are talking days & weeks as opposed to months). With a major plot of the storyline being wrapped up one chapter, I have to be honest and say Jo and Damon's concluding journey deserved so much more than 150 pages (including the opening chapter of the companion novel). It read like the author just wanted to get to the end (or, the cynic in me is thinking, there may be a book from Damon's POV). I gave the first book 5 stars as it blew me away. The second I gave four, purely because it didn't have the emotional impact on me, but it was still excellent. Unfortunately this just wasn't in the same league.

I hope he has learned his lesson and will TALK in the future. Jo, she is a spitfire and I love her, she does not take any crap! she is strong, funny and I just love her to pieces. These two characters go through so much from the start of this series until the very end of this book. Everyone in the end got what they deserved and I couldn`t be more happy with that. As for Damon and Jo, what becomes of them? can these two make it work? or are they doomed to never be happy and together? you will have to read this epic conclusion to see how it ends! Some quotes I enjoyed: “ My heart resides with you, forevermore, ” “I want nothing more than to make babies with you. Lots of them, if you want. I want you to marry me. I want to go through life with you by my side, Jo.” “Pimpin` Grams` walker,”

2.5 stars. I’m left disappointed in this series. And it’s a shame because I was a huge supporter of the 2 other books in this trilogy (sure let’s call it a trilogy, because that is what the author and publisher want us to call it). I feel awful giving this book a bad review, because I feel like I’m being rude to the author. She wrote her “heart & soul” into this book and to be honest, it wasn’t all that. Sorry dude! Here are my hang ups, which seem to be right on with others who were looking forw 2.5 stars. I’m left disappointed in this series. Here are my hang ups, which seem to be right on with others who were looking forward to the conclusion of this series: 1.)Way too short and was it published to make more money? For a conclusion book it was way too short, rushed and over looked the huge plot that we were left hanging on from book 2: Edward and his plans! The 147 pages that make up Accept Me is honestly just not worth a whole new book. It had me asking myself did the author really do this? Did she have me pay $1.99 (yes not that expensive, but for the length – it kinda was!) for a book that most other authors charge $.99 for and call theirs a novella or 2.5. For me this book should have been a continuation to book 2 instead of making it a third book and call it a day. 2.)Too much internal dialog. The majority (95%) of the book was told through Jo’s eyes. We barley heard Damon and when we did it was “sentence” here and a “yell” there. He was not the person we grew to love and want from book 1, which we were kinda promised we would get back at the ending of book 2. This was extremely disappointing! For me it felt like the author ended up not liking her own character and was anger with him, thus portraying him as a dick! Majority of the time Damon & Jo were apart. Not only are they not together often – a huge part of the book is about them actually being broken up. Damon's a real dick towards Jo throughout the book and in the end try’s to make it all up in one paragraph. Shame – ugh! Then there is Jo… at the end, AFTER ALL THE BS she put up with, (don’t forget book 2 ppl!) she just melts in his arms at his ONE paragraph of explanation and I “want-you-back-bs.” Really? She wasn't the determined, spirited woman we meet in book one. She was someone else. Both of them were... To make matters worse the first half of the book wasn't even focused around Damon and Jo much. It went around Grams and Noni. Which I can’t say I didn’t mind – but it brings up the length of the book again…if it wasn’t as short, I don’t think I would have minded this point. 3.)The plot of the book – Edward WHO?! So we are left in book 2 with this warm happy feeling: We got Damon back, Jo & Damon’s future looks bright, but alas Edward has something up his sleeve – dun-dun-dun. One would think this book, book 3 – the conclusion book, would focus on this plot. Sure it did, without s knowing! The whole scene/plot was told, I think, in like 2 chapters at the end…and so rushed I felt robbed! There is nothing nice I can say about this, so I won’t. It was poorly planned, executed and delivered. Shame! 4.)So, what happened with … and what did she say … and how did that get worked out? I’m left asking more questions & feeling jipped. Damon and Noni’s relationship was somehow magically resolved; however we never got to see this. We were just told they talked and are “working it out” WHAT!? That is kinda HUGE as the 2nd book and the majority of this book was about Damon finding out who his mother was and the discovery of it. Yet we were not privy to the outcome – huh, thanks ... ? waste of my time I guess. You mean to tell me that with Damon treating Jo like that for almost a month Grams didn’t have anything to say? Nothing? We don’t get to hear her & Damon’s interaction. Oh that’s right we were not allowed to hear Damon talk. My bad. Now who’s Mike? And why was he such a huge part in the book? Enough to be the best man…? Sweet they got married – but we don’t get to see the wedding itself … thanks again! That’s it?! He has one paragraph and Jo forgives him and melt’s in his arms – are you serious? Whatever… So I guess I didn’t like the book that much. Eh, I can’t say that I’m just more pissed and feel jipped. It was a crappy way to end the series and left me not “feeling” this author as much. I gotta be honest, I’m not sure I will pick up another of her books. Sigh…I had high hopes, but each book just got worse..

J L Mac is a favorite author of mine and I love this series. I love the characters she created, the emotions that she can draw out of you and her writing style. If a book can have me laughing out loud, enjoying what's going, crying and on the edge of my seat with anticipation, all within a very short time span, then that to me, is a good book, I don't care how short it is!! Did I want more? HELL YEAH! Am I happy with the way it ended? Absolutely! With that being said, if you have not read the fir J L Mac is a favorite author of mine and I love this series. Did I want more? HELL YEAH! Am I happy with the way it ended? Absolutely! With that being said, if you have not read the first two books I suggest you do because this is the third book of the series and they need to be read in order! I loved and recommend them all!!!If your looking for a lengthy novel to read you won't find it here BUT let me tell you what you will find, and that is a great book with great characters, laughter, sadness and intensity. This story does focus more on Grams and Noni and the roles they will play throughout the book. Grams is hysterical and I loved that woman. I laughed, I cried and I even got mad!Damon pissed me off and I wanted to jump in the book and jerk him by his tie and say WTF is wrong with you? And, even though he pissed me off I still loved that sexy man! Jo pissed me off too! I was like woman you need to fight harder but understanding her background and everything she had been through, I think she was just down right tired and had lost all hope! All of this will make sense when you read the series. There is a lot packed in this one. Jo and Damon are engaged. They are living in their home and have moved Grams in her own place close by. Jo is getting her bookstore together and ready for her grand opening with much help from Noni. All is well or so it seems with the exception of Jo's secret and Noni's secret and even Damon has a little secrecy of his own. Then there is Damon's despicable father, Edward or as Jo called him, McFuckstic, lol. He is truly worthless and very untrustworthy. So what is going to happen with all these secrets? Who will get hurt? Will Jo and Damon have yet even more obstacles to overcome and just how will they do it? I will tell you that once I started reading I couldn't stop! I had to know and you will want to know too so I recommend you give this series a chance! Thanks J L for bring Jo, Damon, Captain, Grams & Noni into my life. I can't wait to read more of your books :)

4.5 STARS This is a hard book to rate without giving everything away. So my apologies if this is brief as I fully believe you should read this series in its entirety to get the full affect. J.L Mac captured my attention with Wreck Me where we met Damon and Jo, learned about their tragic past and how they were connected though not realizing it. I fell in love with this couple. The dominating caveman style love that Damon had for his lady and Jo's attraction and undying love for her "Big Man." Resto 4.5 STARS This is a hard book to rate without giving everything away. The dominating caveman style love that Damon had for his lady and Jo's attraction and undying love for her "Big Man." Restore Me brought me to the depths of despair as Jo fought to restore Damon's belief in himself and their love and his worthiness to receive all of these wonderful things in his life. Accept Me brings this couple full circle. Accept Me is Damon's history. We get a lot of answers in this book and I have to say that I was emotional throughout - I cried at least 3 times. Damon and Jo have been through so much as individuals and as a young couple. Throughout this series they have saved not only each other but have survived because of the love that they have for each other. I didn't necessarily agree with Jo hiding secrets from Damon though I understood where she was coming from as we saw in Restore Me that Damon has just healed. Though Damon's past was something that no one would wish on their worst enemy, I enjoyed learning of it and where he came from. Who he has become because of it. I would have liked to see more interaction between Jo and Damon as they have just found themselves back to each other. But in the times that they were together, J.L Mac knows how to write sex - these two are so HOT its combustible! The journey for this couple is not easy and there will be more that they will encounter in this book but I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. I breathed a sense of relief at the end...because everything was right in the world and as it should be. I look forward to more from this author - no matter what she writes and the lengths of the books she gives us, J.L Mac knows how to tell a story. I will read anything she gives us and look forward to watching her grow as an author. I will miss Damon and Jo and especially Grams who continues to have me rolling on the floor laughing. Thank you for giving us an amazing cast of characters to enjoy! <3

2.5 stars I can’t tell you how excited I’ve been for Accept Me since reading Wreck Me and Restore Me in a power session last year. I have been chomping at the bit for what seems like forever! I found when picking up Accept Me, I needed to revisit the end of Restore Me as it had been some time and I’d definitely recommend doing that before jumping in. With such high anticipation, I will say I found Accept Me did not fully meet what expectations I had. With such high anticipation, I will say I found Accept Me did not fully meet what expectations I had. I had some issues with consistency between book 2 and 3, in particular one part early on contradicts from book 2 and that created a disconnect for me. A few things I wished for more of in Accept Me - more dialogue, more interactions between Damon and Jo, more of Jo’s kick-ass and feisty personality, and more story (this was more of a novella-length). I will admit, that I found Jo’s reference to Damon as Big Man so frequently a turn-off for me. The things that I liked included the end when the story had more action involved and more interactions between Jo and Damon versus being more in Jo’s thoughts. I also really liked the ever-feisty Grams, and Brian, who was a high point in the earlier part of the series for me. The first 30 – 50% was a slower start for me but then the end definitely picked up with action, which brought this book and series to a good conclusion for me. It wraps up some details and resolved issues between Damon and Jo and their family and friends. ARC provided for honest review

Finally, the long awaited conclusion to Jo and Damon's story! This is a short read, but this story is packed with angst, secrets, and many twists and turns. I was captivated by Noni's story, and loved this woman for all that she had been through and survived. Noni and the other secondary characters really stood out in this book and added so much to the story. As for the main characters, everything seems to be going great for Jo and Damon. They are definitely enjoying the "honeymoon" period of their relationship as they plan their future together; however, after Noni's confession Jo is left with the burden of sharing Noni's secret and hurting Damon or keeping it to herself. While Jo struggles with her secrets, Damon is off tending to his own secrets. When all comes to light, the two have to figure out if their relationship is strong enough to overcome these obstacles or if they will let the secrets tear them apart. Before they have a chance to figure it out life throws a couple curve balls that puts them both in danger. Overall, a good conclusion to the series. My only issue was that the book itself felt rushed. So many things happened so quickly and were resolved at the same pace that I wasn't always able to fully connect with the story.

Before I even started this book I had some pretty big lingering questions about what the hell has already been written about these characters. My biggest question revolves around Noni (really stupid name, by the way, only Grandmothers can/should be called this). Anyway, what I hope to be addressed in this book is: 1) Why the eff was Noni staring at her son lustfully every time Jo had brought him into the Diner? and 2) Why the eff does Noni not recognize her son, or if she does, why does she act Before I even started this book I had some pretty big lingering questions about what the hell has already been written about these characters. Right off the bat, I have a big problem with the consistency of this book (and the series, a little bit). At the end of book two, Jo had definitely told Damon that his sister and grandmother knew about Edward's abuse. In fact, this is before he even proposes to her. Another point, I am sick of this tired story line: I'm leaving you to protect you. And I am sick of insecure characters falling for that crap and taking it to mean something entirely different. Jo and Damon were really nothing but words in this book. By that, I mean their relationship became expositional and boring and just something I could not care less about anymore. Ultimately, I feel like this book left this series on a bad note. Too bad.

Damon still has it going on, "Damon already showered and dressed, or shall I say undressed, for bed. He's lying across our mammoth bed in nothing but those yummy little trunk underwear. They hug and hold tight to every delicious curve of his...assets." Some circumstances have come up, personally Damon's choice on how to handle it I thought was dumb and stupid but what do I know? Which bring me to my next question does he have a right to be jealous, and Jo she knows how to hit the nail on the head with a hammer, "what do you care? How did you find me? Go back to whatever sl** you're seeing today and leave me alone. It's my body and therefore, my decision." I really don't think Damon had the right to be jealous, "yes. I had to go make sure that Andy wan't bedding you in my penthouse. Or bedding you at all for that matter."

Sigh... while I enjoyed book 1 and 2, esp book 1, book three was too formulaic. I would have rather had a HEA in an Epilogue in book 2. 5 beautifully heartbreaking STARS! I was so excited to jump back into Jo and Damon. I couldn't wait to be with the tough ass Jo, sexy caveman Damon and the fire cracker herself, Grams! This book was a beautiful, heartbreaking, soul shattering and un-breakable tale of love. As usual JL had me hooked from the beginning! I was ready for their HEA and then my heart was ripped out and shredded it to a million pieces. This was an emotionally gripping story that had me captured from book one! Wow was this book a disappointment!!! It starts off boring and including too much sex. Then a curve ball is thrown. Story becomes very predictable and similar too many other books. A huge part of this series falls to the back and didn't really develop. Which surprised me. In the end, what was the purpose of this book??? Just to have a trilogy???? Lovable Damon is gone. Book lacked his POV. And really.. Andy.... duh... Wow was this book a disappointment!!! It starts off boring and including too much sex. Then a curve ball is thrown. Great conclusion to this series. :) (view spoiler)[I personally wish Jo hadn't been so damn quick to forgive Damon straight away. Yes Damon's intentions were good, but instead of dealing with things as a couple he decided to shatter Jo and her heart. I would've liked her to make him sweat it out a little longer. I mean how does she know he won't do the same thing again when he thinks she needs protecting? That's just my opinion though. I am so disappointed with this "book", and it use the term loosely because this really is a novella! I loved, loved book 1 Wreck Me and I enjoyed book 2 but by the time we get to "book 3" the characters show no resemblance to their former selves. I feel this whole story could have easily been condensed into 2, if not 1 book. I feel let down. 2 1/2 stars rounded up to 3 I am so disappointed with this "book", and it use the term loosely because this really is a novella!
