Well #4 done and I need to have more, don't know what I will do when I have no more Draven to look forward to. Loved this read as much as the first three, this book seemed to take a little turn sending you to new realms and characters and as usual I love the ones Stephanie creates good and bad alike. One reaction at the end of this 4th book : WHAT THE F**K??!!!??? A real rollercoaster. We begin pretty high and keep going higher in term of mystery, suspens, excitement and hot guys (quite a few interesting specimen here :) ). I hope we get some answers because so far, it is pretty much an accumulation of questions!! But anyway I still want to say, this book is anoter beautifully written story, full of mythology if deep mysteries and a world building si deep you get swapt into it and don't want to come back. Congrats to Ms Hudson for her beautiful writting skills

Another brilliant book in the series !!! It is going to be so hard to write this review without giving the plot details away but I will try my best. The books picks up right where previous ended. The book is very well written and there are some very clever puzzle's that Keira has to figure out that really will give you a headache. The book is really long (over 700 pages) and there was plenty of twists and turns that kept me hooked. I didn't want to put it down. Once again Keira's character is great once again she is so strong and fighting for the ones she loves. My heart really did break for her at parts in the book. The male characters were also great I loved her banter with Sigurd and it was great that we got see more of Lucius and his flirty banter with Keira. When I finished the book it left me feeling a little frustrated as I wanted to keep reading more. You do get a sneak peek at the first chapter of the next book called The Pentagram Child which leave you on tender hooks. I'm looking forward to book 5 there are still lots of unanswered questions. Overall a fantastic read that has it all- mystery, suspense and romance :-)

Be prepared to partake in the journey of a lifetime. Dark, decadent, thrilling and totally unstoppable. Kelly, Perusing Princesses “This was Afterlife and inside, I had found that in the literal sense in more ways than one. It both contained the elements of dreams and nightmares, Heaven and Hell’s creatures and the living Gods of a world most people would run from if they only knew the truth. But me...well I was running, screaming into the arms of that world and praying with every step that it would take me back.” - Keira Williams The Draven’s may rule, but it seems Kiera is making quite an impression among many a hell brethren in this fourth installment as she takes hold of the ‘Electus’ reigns, and proves her worth in a world that is now as much part of her, as her beating heart. Now that my friends is how it's done! The Quarter Moon is that book in a series that throws a spanner in the entire workings. Just when you think you have it all figured out... BAM! I spent most of my time reading this book shaking my head in disbelief and cursing the powers that be as these new events start to unfold. When you think all hope is lost, you get a glimpse of some real defining moments as to Kiera’s inner strength and personal character growth that will have you flying the flag of newfound respect for our heroine as she partakes on the journey of a lifetime. From grief-stricken heartbreak to hell and back again, Stephanie Hudson has exceeded and excelled. Her level of descriptive text flows like the River Styx as you feel yourself immersed within a world that flows consistent with our own giving it substance and plausibility. Keira’s plight is thwart with danger and yet her sassy, sarcastic British humour keeps the story fresh and the element of hope alive; delivering momentary brightness in a world so profoundly dark. But even darkness holds elements of light and goodness as Dominic Draven takes a back seat in hell while Kiera proves her worth in the supernatural community as she vows to do whatever it takes to get the King back home where he belongs. Her only means to locating her soul mate is via cryptic guidance from a powerful Oracle. Keira takes the bait as she accepts this new mission, only to realise very quickly that she has bit off a little more than she can chew. Enter Sigurd; the unlikeliest of aid comes in the form of a ‘shadowed-knight-serpent-bad-ass-biker-demon-dude’ who can give Draven a run for his money in the power ring. The king of Ouroboros, his protection runs blood deep as he and Keira set-off together at the request of the Oracle to seek the answers they need to open the gates to the Devil’s playground. Enter Cerberus; The gatekeeper to hell and all of its resident Hell-beasts, who is also 'kind of' a werewolf. Deadly, unforgiving and feared, he provides the only key, and fortunately in need of a new pet. A vow is his price for protection and entrance into the underworld but at what personal cost? Kiera just wants her Draven back so she makes a decision that not only unites them, but gives her crucial leverage in a deadly game of hide and seek... What Kiera goes through in this 700 page thrill ride will leave you a little stunned. Stephanie really did put everything into this one, I couldn't put it down after 65% as the story came to a head. This author can take an idea and make it breathe. The slow build up makes the cataclysmic finale astonishing, and immeasurably unpredictable. I never expected the later events to unfold as they did and to be honest, I’m a little upset at the direction it took me in, only because I want what’s best for Keira. After everything she went though, everything she sacrificed, I was left feeling a little bereft. Regardless of this, The Quarter Moon gave me everything and more. Every emotion was touched upon as it pulls you in deep and doesn’t let go until the very end. And I’m delighted to say a little scratch was itched along the way. :D I once said that the Afterlife saga had the potential to rival the worldwide international bestsellers and I continue to stand by that statement more so now than ever. This 4th book is the ultimate clincher as it steers this series in a whole new direction. Look out for a few old favourites too; but the new guys...holy hot inked lovin' leather biker boots...they will certainly make you question those loyalties. I can’t say I would be as strong as Keira, lets put it that way! Roll on 2014 for book five! 5 Spectacular Stars

Let me rant first.... Oh Keira how I loathe you. Seriously. Only Keira would set out on a journey to bring her dead boyfriend/soulmate/love of her life back from the dead but make out with his brother Vincent, roll around and have an orgasm in bed with Sigurd your shadow protector, bond with him, make out with Jared, then to turn around and almost have sex with Lucius all the way down to getting butt ass naked and he is two seconds from thrusting inside of you but then you guys only stop because Let me rant first.... Seriously. Hate. Her. Worst. Girlfriend. Ever. And totally takes away from her love for Draven. Why is it every single powerful man Keira came into contact with fell in love with her? And why did Keira drool over and pretty much found herself in intimate situations with ALL OF THEM? Honestly Keira didn't deserve Draven. At all. But then that last ten percent that we FINALLY get Draven back in the story I'm so enraged by Dravens actions that I try to forgive Keira for hers. But then I tell myself that yes Draven might have fooled Keira the whole time BUT... BUT... she didn't know that and she STILL CHEATED ON HIM. But yet Draven has been completely loyal. Have I mentioned how much I hate Keira?! Yeah hate her. And by the end Draven is on my shit list as well. As far as the plot I was bored and skimmed so much. It didn't get really good until 85%-90%. Don't get me wrong, Stephanie is an amazing writer but majority of this book was such a drag even though the writing was amazing. It's just that nothing really happened and I wasn't into the whole running around London looking for clues and making out with different men kind of thing. I honesty rolled my eyes over and over and skipped so much because I just wanted to get to the GOOD stuff. I love this series. Ms. Hudson is a fantastic writer with an imagination out of this world. She is by far the QUEEN of description. So it kills me to say this, but this installment is by far the weakest out of the series to date and is a very big let down. I'm still in love with Stephanie though and am a fan for life. She is so damn talented that's why I have faith she'll bring the BOOM with the next book. Hopefully things will get better with Draven back in play and with Keira finally growing a spine. YAY for Keira handing Draven his ass at the end and driving off, she finally grew some lady balls! And hopefully the next book still has Keira with her newfound strength and makes Draven BEG FOR IT and doesn't have Keira fooling around with every male she encounters, I don't think I can stomach more of that nonsense. Overall 3.5 STARS.

Honest to goodness I was really getting frustrated with this book. I mean I waited ages for a bit of you know who and I was slowly tortured until it happened. But that is typical of Stephanie Hudson she draws you in with her beautifully descriptive writing, pulls at your heart strings and right at the end when you want more she pings it back. You wouldn't believe what Keira has to go through in this book, I mean how much more can this girl/chosen one take! Bring on the next book, I can't wait. Stephanie you are a genius you have allowed the readers to go on a journey with Keira and one that was probably as difficult for us to read as it was for her to go through. You could have cop-out and made it easier on us readers but to truly understand what is really going on and the magnitude of the situation we needed this experience. Just like the Oracle and everyone who has told Keira to have faith and to hold on, you are saying that to us readers to have faith and trust in you that it will all work out but just like Keira we must have the heart-breaking experience. I will not abandon Draven it will all come good in the end. But Stephanie I implore you please go easy on us in book5!

This is still a great series despite a lack of, in some cases, poor editing and sentence structure. The ending looks like it's going to hopefully give the next novel some great new material to chomp on. I'm directly onto book 5.

I allways said i would not give this author less than 5 stars so im giving it 4 as i am so disappointed to what i usually read.... (this review may contain a few minor spoilers) Firstly the whole book was filled with riddles.... one or two are great fun but it seems the author has filled pages with them every other chapter... and not just coming from one source, everyone is using them along with a term of endearment they seemed to have all spontaneously cottoned on to "My Friend" I mean great if I allways said i would not give this author less than 5 stars so im giving it 4 as i am so disappointed to what i usually read.... Keira/Catherine/chosen one/electus The unselfish keira with a soul so pure, when locked in a tower wondered why no one had risked their life to come to rescue her? Also not to mention that everyone is in love with her, maybe her lip-biting lets off some weird paranormal pheromone.... I really cant see how her magnetic personality could be the pull plus she chops off all her hair which obviously has some kind of aphrodisiac to Draven she wants to severe. So in the running now Dreamy Draven dead/undead i still don't know whats going on with him..... lush Lucius whom she almost shags again!!! sexy siguard giving her shadow orgasms vincent still just at first base and Cerebus So all the big players in the book love Keira the best part is she seems to be a major factor in two of them finding true love with someone else.... So not confusing right??? Aside from the rant i still adore this series and i am disappointed because the author made me fall in love with everyone and invest in them in the first place so its a catch 22, i still love the writing albeit the bloody riddles splattered everywhere that i just ended up skipping.... and still love the characters and the story line, i was again in tears and chuckling into my pillow at events within its pages, the series is still a 5 star read and this book is still good just not great in comparison to its predecessors. Not so much Romance in this book it reminds me alot of Twilight New Moon and that heartfelt agony you get when reading the pain but we meet loads of new characters and get a deeper look into our old favorites so not all doom and gloom.

Stunning I really have enjoyed these books, the level of detail is dizzying and a bit hard to grasp at times but enjoyable and addictive. I enjoyed this adventure in particular, especially as Draven and Keira weren't constantly at it for a change. I know reading the nasties is great but when it's not your own experience, it can get a bit much. I do wonder why Keira wanted to be with Draven as she hasn't matured yet enough to understand the concept of being faithful. I know reading the nasties is great but when it's not your own experience, it can get a bit much. I do wonder why Keira wanted to be with Draven as she hasn't matured yet enough to understand the concept of being faithful. Literally from the beginning she has swooned over every man that has walked past her and pretty much let them all fondle her. I do love her character other than that however as she is warm and kind. She's finally building up some inner strength and pride in herself as a woman and not weakly giving in every time a man bosses her about. Her protests last for an average of 4 seconds. I do love the tall brooding type, don't get me wrong but Keira needed to safe guard herself a little and she seems to have got that, finally, only gaining help as a last resort. I have blonde hair and do not like the use of the term, 'dumb blonde'. I find it insulting and let's be honest, it's inappropriate in the modern world. I am in no way dumb and I resent the long list of people I have heard using this term as a 'joke'. It wouldn't be funny if you said the same about a person of colour and yes of course it is the same! The author is a blonde and I'd suggest that she doesn't sell herself or the rest of us, short. It was said 3 times during this series so far, pushing an idea that doesnt make scientific sense. I am harsh in my honesty but I believe this author to be incredibly imaginative and a writer with unusual depth and great character which reflects strongly in her storyline. I like all the characters though Pip is a bit sickly sometimes and they are all obsessed with sex. I like Lucias possibly more than Draven who can be a bit petulant and spoilt which is realistic, I suppose, being an other worldly king. I also really like Ragnar and Sigurd. I shall enjoy finding out what happens to Keira next.

Whooop to me 😃 And I do love pip! Now she kinda reminds me a little of Harley Quinn with her quirky ness and unique style. Oh my gosh she is the character I want to be !! There’s so many twists and turns and you have to think about what was said earlier then all of a sudden it clicks ... yes I have to say I am really enjoying these books ! And the ending to this one is wow - I want to know more about the girl ! — trying not to give things away. Defiantly a must read !!!!!

Keira and Draven: Now there have been books and book series that have made me cry. I’ve commented that you as the new reader will need tissues to a whole box of tissues in my reviews. Ok remember the toilet paper shortage for the stupid COVID-19 virus? Well that’s what I feel like when I read this book. I didn’t just cry I sobbed, HARD. I actually put the book down went to do other things to take a break. It was that emotional. Then, thank goodness we get a bright spot where there’s lots and lots Keira and Draven: Now there have been books and book series that have made me cry. Then of course we’re back to sobbing!! Please!! No more!!! This is just heart wrenching.

Oh my god! There are a couple things I can’t get passed in a book...After reading reviews, I will totally admit to using the handy kindle search feature and searching for one female name in particular to make sure I was going to be able to continue reading the series. I was already apprehensive going into this book because of the reviews... One in particular that mentioned skimming it. I’m now happily skipping all the descriptive scenes and skimming through the riddles. I’ll update this review o Oh my god! Sensational Emotional. Phenomenal OMG. What a roller coaster of a read. My emotions are battered beyond belief. 10 boxes of tissues later I am able to write a review. Do not think this takes away from the stunning read oh hell no. It just adds to the ride. I just kept telling myself all the way through. It’s not true. Then screaming at my phone NO. HELL YES. NO. HELL YES. YOU HAVE TO READ THIS SERIES. IM HOOKED FOR LIFE AND I LOVE IT. Thank you Stephanie for these sensational books

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I started this book with a kind of excitement at a book series that had a very good story line. However, not far into this book, I noticed several dislikes of mine started appearing. The MFC is dubbed a pure soul even though she is selfish. The MFC has all these alpha males falling in love with her "deeply" but then now all of a sudden have other futures... Don't get me started on her obsession that goes wtf overboard with the MMC. I'm hanging on by a thread but already purchased the next two bo I started this book with a kind of excitement at a book series that had a very good story line. Struggled to read ! So the beginning started off good and gripping and kept you guessing why ?? ... but half way through I lost interest, I think because it is just over explained in places about trivial stuff....which led me to skip pages! But I struggled on and the finishing part of the book gets you gripped again , so I'm glad I stuck with it. So now on to the next series to find out who the new character is and what role he will play. Struggled to read ! Gripping series Not only were the characters burping but the scenes that she sat and the details and what she did it also everything in the font in the fourth one this one ties together a lot of other things that went on in the series that annoyed me at times and frustrated me. But I'm really glad to see that the character Grew and no longer allowed fear to hold her back. And now I'm on to the next book.
