This book has far too many problems. I tried so hard to read it but the first main problem affects the whole book...it's formatting. This book needs a formatter and an editor post haste. I found in just the first thee chapters, if you can figure out where they begin and end, numerous misspelled words, sentences that started in one line then a huge gap of white space and it picks up on another line. I found in just the first thee chapters, if you can figure out where they begin and end, numerous misspelled words, sentences that started in one line then a huge gap of white space and it picks up on another line. Words rantogetheror or were odd ly spaced. (The errors are intentional to give you an example of what I mean) Some parts were done in red type, which at first made sense, but as you go farther into reading, it is used indiscriminately. Books with foot notes on a page should have the footnote as the last thing on the page, not thrown into the middle of a page. Places where there should have been a double line space between paragraphs, such as when there is a new heading were done as if they were simply a new paragraph. All of this and more made it impossible to actually read. Pity, I wanted to see what the author had to say from a Christian perspective. I am a high-functioning DID and like to stay up-to-date on what is going on with DID Studies. This is one of the rare books I simply cannot recommend at all in its present condition. NOTE--this refers to the Kindle version.
