I saw this at the thrift store and just couldn't pass it up. It's The Lion King (but this was over way, way too soon). I need to rewatch the movie now. JK, I have a lot of work to do. BUT SOON. <3 I saw this at the thrift store and just couldn't pass it up. It's The Lion King (but this was over way, way too soon). I need to rewatch the movie now. JK, I have a lot of work to do. This book was a pretty good and concise rendering of the movie in children's book format. It is always annoying when the children's book and the movie don't match, so that you spend half of story time answering confused children. I think Simba is the oldest Lion King ever to live. Even before he died he was an ancestor he is respected by almost every animal of the pridelands so 4 me it is 4

This was my favorite story to hear during bedtime, when my mom or aunt would read to me' but I have never actually read this story myself. I decided it is about high time that I do! I have always loved the illustrations in this book. The sky and the beautiful colors and details have always entranced and delighted me. The story itself was equally as amazing. There are so many meaningful points that are trying to get across to readers. It is trying to convey and teach a very important message, Never forget who you are and become who you were always meant be! Such a great story! This will definitively be one tale that I plan to read to my future children.

We read this book for 2 nights in a row.

It was a fun read: like a Reader's Digest condensed version of the movie. In some places, parents may have to explain some awkward things about death to their children. The artwork is typical Disney-beautiful. It was a fun read: like a Reader's Digest condensed version of the movie. A good retelling of the movie complete with decent illustrations. If you are a fan of Lion King books or just have a little one who loves the movie and you want a short version you can read to them, this is probably the best one to get ahold of that I've come across so far. I love all things Disney. Childhood would have been a little darker without Disney. The Lion King was fantastic, and also promoted respect and love for animals. A treat for all the family.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Disney just rocks. The story of these animals and their journey is beautiful. When Mufasa died, I was so sad. But, the responsibility Simba took on was amazing. Very family oriented.
Sandra –

Yet another Wonderful World of Reading book I have and love. Many of the quotes are off from the movie, but it is still super fun to read, as usual.
Kylie Abecca –
This book has held onto the best parts of the Lion King tale. It’s brilliantly done and the pictures are spectacular.

A short illustrated children's book mirroring the classic Disney movie. Great to read after watching the movie to help develop vocabulary and teach sentence formation. The images are the same from the movie. A short illustrated children's book mirroring the classic Disney movie.
