Heed the warnings listed prior to reading. Seriously messed up. Gritty, harsh intergalactic story of love during wartime. There is torture and rape of multiple characters and yet there is an underlying story of survival and acceptance. It's not an easy story to read, but honestly, I had more difficulty with the betrayals than the violence--which is significant. Yes, that was another warning. IF you can't handle non consensual events then this story is NOT for you. Additionally, it is clear that t Heed the warnings listed prior to reading. Seriously messed up. Additionally, it is clear that the author is not an native English speaker--so if improper grammar and awkward sentence structures and word choices make you pissy then don't read it. Overall, I didn't find it distracting, kinda felt like some weird Yoda speak.

This contains extreme hard core rape and abuse. All manner of non-con and torture perpetrated by both human and alien, including impregnation. Flash backs of child rape. The author has explicit warnings posted on the site, please heed. I hate to say it, but the text is difficult to read. But the story flows well, is incredibly imaginative, and was worth the effort for me because I became completely invested in the outcome. Now I need to find something to read where not even an eye is crossed or to This contains extreme hard core rape and abuse. Violent rape/torture fantasy set in space. As so often in online fiction with this theme there was no subtleness that would make a story like that an adrenaline-pusher.No plot to speak of just endless over the top violence made possible by a practical thing called "mender" - heals even fatal injuries in an instant - just so they can do it all over again. That was like watching an adult version of Tom & Jerry in space for depraved minds.... No rating. Violent rape/torture fantasy set in space. SPACE OPERA is an appropriate title for this story by Juxian Tang. It is a lengthy dramatic literary composition with a cast of characters enveloped by heart wrenching emotions. Yet, it remains true to Tang's style of creating plots filled with taboo subject matter and disturbing situations. I recommend it for those who are willing to step out of their comfort zone into the depraved. SPACE OPERA is an appropriate title for this story by Juxian Tang. K, yeah. There are awkward phrasings here and there, a couple of syntactic errors (common referred to as "awkward phrasing"). [e.g. "The kid grew quiet against him but Stacey could feel he was not asleep; neither he was sleepy himself."] Awkward Valley-Girl "like" should probably stay out of third-person narration. The story itself is already a gritty story. Actually, no. There's something weird about this story. Really weird. Beyond the realms of interesting/weird. It's still interesting, but for K, yeah. The story itself is already a gritty story. Actually, no. There's something weird about this story. Really weird. Beyond the realms of interesting/weird. It's still interesting, but for some reason, it seems to hover near squick territory several times. It's weird because so much happens in so little time. Everything happens so fast and then it's on to the next thing. Also, for some reason, the disparate parts didn't quite seem to gel together. Like mixing viscous liquids instead of thinner ones. It kind of mixes but still doesn't quite completely become homogenous. And then when yet another element would be added that was of yet another consistency. And it got to a point where I only wanted to know what happened to Victor. (view spoiler)[Stacey and Kai are clearly the MC. They're going to inevitably get their HEA is how I saw it. (hide spoiler)] This just didn't work for me. EVERYONE had at least one overarching crippling issue. Damn. Space opera. That certainly is what it is. The plot points all seemed...incidental. Like they didn't belong and could have been anything. The author had a list of stuff xe decided to incorporate and found places or made places to stick something. As to what Adriana said, I don't quite think it's horror. It's kind of dark-ish, at times, but not quite horror. So...let's say cheesy dark(ish)fic.

2 and 3/4 stars. Free, slasher fic, full of rape, not for everyone. Not sure what I think, not sure what to write, not good, not bad, cringe worthy at times, other times it was okay, sort of liked it, sort of, not sure how to write this review, totally ruining it, so I'll finish right here and NOW! Dropped - made it through part 2 Nope. I can't do it. I liked the parts with Kai but every time there was a scene with Stacey (such a girly name omg no) and Victor I ended up skipping it because I got so bored and absolutely didn't care, even though those were the scenes with more plot than Kai's scenes. I really hoped part 2 would be the end of it but then there was a link to part 3 and I wanted to cry with frustration and boredom. Although I didn't like Tang's Object D'Art primarily for the ending I still wouldn't have given it more than a 3 and this... I think if I'd been able to get through it all, if I found the scenes with Stacey and Victor more interesting, if I gave a flying fuck at all, that maybe I'd give this a 4 for story direction and a 3 for how the story was handled. I really don't think I can read anything else by this author ever again. I'm fine with how obvious it is that English is not their first language, but while I enjoy the originality of the stories I just don't like how they're written. And really, with the summary only mentioning Kai, I was not at all prepared for it to focus so much on another character, one who, while interesting, never drew me in. I wish I felt differently since there is tentacle sex here and even some mpreg and I'm curious about how things work out for Kai, how he is able to handle the changes his body is going through (I'm relatively sure that with all the advanced technology - they have a device that is able to heal wounds after all - he'll make it out of this ok) but I don't care enough to continue skipping through all the scenes I'm uninterested in. A shame too since this would have counted as the last story needed for my noncon challenge. Warning: (view spoiler)[that mpreg I mentioned? Happens with a female alien wanting Kai to be the incubator for her kid with her alien husband and they both put their alien fluids inside him to make it happen, yay! And her name just happens to be Minerva. So much no. I'm so sorry Headmistress. Please kill it for us. (hide spoiler)]

An interesting yet dark M/M space opera following Stacey - an officer in the Empire, and Kai, a genetic sexual slave, as they fight to survive after the Heles, an alien form featuring large multiple tentacles, overpower the Empire's ship, as part of a war that has being raging for 30 years. It is not a story for everyone as it features both men, particularly Kai, in quite a few non-con scenes, by humans and aliens alike. There is also physical, emotional and mental abuse. So, this story is not erotically arousing at all. Interesting premise. It was meh for me at a 2.5 because I just couldn't get into it much. It could be because the story is on difficult to read background. Regardless, I felt very little connection or emotion with Kai. He's just abused over and over. Humans and aliens are assholes. That's all I got from this story. So, this story is not erotically arousing at all. Interesting premise. It was meh for me at a 2.5 because I just couldn't get into it much. 2.5 stars I almost DNF, almost... But I'm really into slave stories so I managed to get through it. The story contains hardcore abuse, rape, mutilation, tentacles - for the real fans of such stuff. 2.5 stars I almost DNF, almost... But I'm really into slave stories so I managed to get through it. oh fuck juxian tang is on goodreads????? far fucken out!!!!!!!! 10/10 for multiple gory graphic torture and rape scenes, 8/10 for characters (rei and kai are baby and i love them), 2/10 for plot. lets be real though you're not reading this for the plot, you're reading this for horrific torture porn complete with crazy sci-fi med tech so the characters can almost die and be healed from almost anything, and in that sense it absolutely 100% delivers. love you juxian i only discovered you this year b oh fuck juxian tang is on goodreads????? far fucken out!!!!!!!! 10/10 for multiple gory graphic torture and rape scenes, 8/10 for characters (rei and kai are baby and i love them), 2/10 for plot. lets be real though you're not reading this for the plot, you're reading this for horrific torture porn complete with crazy sci-fi med tech so the characters can almost die and be healed from almost anything, and in that sense it absolutely 100% delivers. love you juxian i only discovered you this year but you're the stuff my adolescence was made of

This is one of my favorite books ever! I have thought so many times that I should 'english-ise' it to attract more readers to it. I'm very used to Juxian by now so that I hardly even blink if her wording is 'awkward.' (She sure does far better in English than I would in Russian!) She's not for the feint of heart - or stomach! Extreme, violent, with lots of rape. Not for the faint-hearted. However, it's a fully-developed story, and it's wonderfully fleshed out. The plot is always moving forward, and everything somehow magically clicks together in the end. One of my favorite works. You can tell that the author is not a native speaker, but the quality of the ideas and the immense amount of details more than make up for a little bit of awkward phrasing.
