My second attempt at posting a review. I won this book on Goodreads. I have a family member who is a big Green Bay Packers fan so I shared this book with them. They loved the book. The stories and information on all the players was wonderful. It was great that the book provided the history of the Green Bay Packers. This book is an awesome gift for any football fan, especially a Green Bay Packers Fan.

Having survived against all odds in the early days of football by famously selling stock of the team to Fox River landowners in '23 (then valued at $2,500), '35, '50, 2011. The stock purchases into the sports team were essentially donations to the team as its holders receive no dividends and cannot sell their stock upon ownership, but only transfer it by attorney countract. In 1950, the team stock was sold for a total of $50,000 to affluent sport purveyors in the area. This evaluation rapidly changed within 7 years as TVs begin entering the American home. To the effect that in 1957, when Lambeau Field is built, ticket prices increase one dollar from $3.20 to $4.20 after taxes and the team's four home games rake in $95,000/game. Other historic moments include: 1919. Debutante-killer, player coach turned coach Curly Lambeau's convincing his employer Indian Packing Company to pout up money for uniforms. 20 years later as GM, the same man invented the forward pass. 1932. when championship game was played instead of giving the title to the team with the best record 1966. Vince Lombardi-coach, Bart Starr QB in the first official professional Superbowl I, which pitted the NFL v. AFL and was held at the LA Coliseum in 1967. The same duo appeared in the 2nd Ice Bowl in GB. Vince brought a 1-10-1 team to stardom with his invention of the 2 "gaurd" sweep and QB sneak. The Superbowl's victory trophy was named for this historic 59-68 Packers' coach Vince Lombardi following his death in 1970.

Just happened to see this on the new book shelf at the library and it screamed for me to read it! More pictures than text, it was still a fun read. Kind of interesting and strange how they picked just 5 articles out of their archives to be a 'Packer Reader' toward the end.
