The cover was one of the very first things I noticed about the book and it really drew me in. Quite honestly, there is nothing better than a super sexy cover and this author definitely has that. I found the book to be incredibly steamy and I loved that. There was sex everywhere!!! And when I say everywhere; I mean EVE-RY-WHERE!! Brandon and Spencer the main characters, have amazing chemistry. There is no doubt that this author knows how to write a hot sex scene. There were, however, a couple problems that stood out to me with the book. The first of them for me was the dialogue. It lacked a lot of depth and flow throughout. The conversations felt a bit forced and a little corny at times. There were several instances where I found myself rolling my eyes; I simply needed more substance. The plot for me was okay, overall, but lacked depth as well. Whenever something substantial happened to the characters, the situation almost immediately turned into a sexual encounter between them. I have to say that nearly fifty percent of the book is sex; it could easily be more than that and while I like sex in my books, to much of it can be a turn off. The plot felt repetitious at times and halfway through the book I started to loose interest. The ending also came out of the blue for me; it was definitely something I was absolutely NOT expecting. With a little more work the author could have a great book. The story has so much potential; I just felt at the end of it that I was left feeling unfulfilled.... :/ Spencer is depressed after losing someone she believed to be the love of her life. Her story begins when she walks in on her boyfriend of two years having sex with his secretary over his desk (ASSHOLE :/). Ryan, her best friend, tries to get Spence out of her depressive state by convincing her that she needs to get up and move past him and on with her life. Spencer, working as an Executive Assistant for a health and fitness company, decides the first step to getting over her asshole ex is to get back to work. Part of her work assignment is to check out the local gym that just opened in her area. While on the treadmill at the gym, she spots a hunky, delicious looking man exercising next to her. His smile is electric and one of the first things she notices. She doesn’t have the guts to talk to him at first and tries sending him little flirtatious gestures to let him know that she’s interested but mystery man never approaches. A little down over the fact that her new eye candy is not getting her flirty signals Spencer covinces, her BFF that they need a weekend in Vegas. You know what they say, ‘What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’. But for Spencer, the Vegas trip takes an interesting turn as she encounters her mystery man in a club. The rendezvous turns out to be a sizzling start to a relationship that Spence has only ever dreamed of. She quickly learns that it’s not all fairy-tales though when a crazy ex of Brandon’s (aka Mystery Man – I named him that ;) he seemed mysterious at the beginning) causes some huge issues for them. Brandon and Spencer are both really sweet characters. I really feel like I could have fallen head over heels in love with them after some tweaking to their dialogue and a tad less sex. There also really needed to be more character development. I’m sad that there were things that held me back from really, really loving the book. I would still recommend you giving this a try, it was enjoyable but not great which is what I was expecting. I would recommend this if you are looking for something solely based on the steam factor. There is no doubt that this book is absolutely smuttastic. :) P.S ~~ this is my honest review. I hate being negative in reviews but I feel like I have to say what I felt after finishing the book. I, in no way want to hurt anyone’s feelings and hope you remember while reading my reviews that this is just my opinion. Please take it as that!!! :) Happy reading <3

After providing that I'm now able to post my review since the book will be released on December 15, 2012. I'm so excited to be able to share this with everyone........... Do you want a book that has those first glances, first eye contact you know the thrill of the stranger you see at the gym that smiles at you and in that brief eye contact you want to know more about him? Well, guess what this book has it and more- a lot more..... Spencer has just caught her boyfriend of two years- Travis- banging his skank of a secretary. Well Spencer's BFF Ryan thinks it's time for Spencer to get her ass up off the couch and join the land of the living again. Spencer is supposed to check out Club 24 a new gym that just opened in the San Francisco area for work. This is probably the best work assignment Spencer's ever been given! Ryan makes sure Spencer gets out of the house and moves on from Travass- she is the bomb of a BFF. It's at Club 24 where Spencer firts lays eyes on "him". They see each other in passing whenever Spencer comes in to work out and each time they make eye contact he just smiles at her. Spencer tells Ryan "OMFG, I have my very own Gideon Cross at the gym." He has a smile that makes Spencer melt........... [image error] Ryan & Spencer decide to go to Vegas for a girls weekend after Ryan ended things with her long time boyfriend, Max. So the girls head to the airport and go to the gate and who does Spencer see... yes it's "HIM".....He's there with another man and a woman. Yes they make that eye contact again and then he smiles. Well the girl's had a great time in Vegas and my favorite scene is the nightclub scene where Spencer is dancing (hottest dance scene EVER) .......... The trip to Vegas proved very informative as we learn that Spencer's very own "Gideon Cross' is Brandon and he is just as interested in Spencer as she was with him. We get to watch their relationship bloom. There are the moments where it was like.... Oh yeah, and where well I think if you use your imagination you could probably come up with where! HOT SEXY AWESOME scenes that were well written and very erotic :).... The deeper their relationship gets the happier I got and then...... The twist well I'm not telling you but I will say freaking pure genious to add this and what happened will have you.... I swear I so wanted to......... Your emotions will seriously go from one extreme to the next! I went from happy, turned on, shocked, angry and then.... To finally end up feeling.......... Where I Want to Be is Kimberly Knight's first book. She did an awesome job ensuring that she covered the bases to ensure a that a reader that wanted happy- got it, angst- oh you got it- hot times between the sheets- OH HECK YES it's there.... and there's more but you need to read the book! This was a 5 star read for me I LOVED IT! I ADORED IT ! I WANT MORE! and you will WANT A LOT MORE - Guess what you will get it too this ones a trilogy!!!! Be sure this is on your TBR you don't want to miss this one!

I am an admitted cover whore. When I was perusing Amazon's site, looking for something new and fresh to read, the first thing that caught my eye was the hot cover. Now that covers are being Fifty Shaded to death, I flock to the sexy man chest covers now more than ever. Plus the short blurb was interesting. Scorned woman goes to Vegas to soothe her wounded heart. Good times will follow. It's a win-win, right? WRONG! The blurb is misleading. Yes, Spencer and Ryan go to Vegas but that trip is a small blip in the entire book. And the guy, Brandon, that Spencer sees in Vegas, she has already semi-met at her local gym. So what is this "Vegas will change her lie forever" nonsense? Spencer did not meet Brandon in Vegas and have a whirlwind affair. They ran into each other, dirty danced, had an orgasm from said dancing and then poof! The rest of the weekend was glazed over and then Spencer and Ryan are back in San Francisco. I felt like mentioning Vegas in the blurb was a way to draw people in .Well it worked for me and now I'm pissed! The characters in Where I Need to Be are in their late 20s but this book read like a YA or New Adult. Major editing is needed. Everything is described in detail except for the characters' appearance. I have no idea what Spencer, Ryan or Max look like. I do know that Brandon has brown hair and brown eyes. Apparently he is Spencer's very own Gideon Cross (that reference annoyed me BTW. Make the book your own please). The story is told in Spencer's 1st person POV. Why, I have no idea because she is not interesting. The fact that she got a lady boner because Brandon called her "babe" in a text should tell you her ass is not ready for a mature relationship. Maybe I've been married to long, but how is that a thing to swoon over? How about an extremely romantic dinner followed by a flowers, a long walk on the beach and the guy playing his guitar by a fire (corny I know but come on. That's so much better than a dude calling you babe via text). I swear, 20-somethings have no standards these days. So Brandon and Spencer's relationship moves at rapid speed and after only a week, they are in love and Brandon is giving Spencer a key to his condo. *insert eye roll here* They are having lots of sex, sex, sex. So far, I'm almost okay with the story until Brandon's ex-girlfriend pops up with some Maury Povich ish and the book plummets from there. Now I'm even more pissed because I'm like, this is not what I signed up for when I bought this book. Why does there have to be over-the-top drama in a romance? Do authors think that makes it better? Here's your answer: NO. Stop it. Just stop. After many more eye rolls and heavy sighs, I finally finish the book. The book just ends. I kept hitting my Kindle, thinking there's more. Nope. So you know what that means. There's a sequel. Ugh. Why??? I don't want to read about Spencer anymore! I don't care about her. I don't care about any of the characters in this book. Needless to say, I will not be reading the next book in this series. Oh and one more thing: WTF is up with girls having guy names? I mean REALLY! Spencer, Ryan. Ryan's not even spelled to look like it's a girl. Add an extra 'n' or something! It took me forever to keep the names straight in my head and not fall into thinking I was reading a m/m romance.

I also had the awesome privilege of getting an ARC copy of this book. Guess who was up until 3am after promising I wouldn't? That'd be me! Once I started it, there was no stopping it. Without spoiling, it's hot, surprising, and had twists that I didn't see coming. The characters and scenes are described so well that I could actually envision everything. The B&S series seems like a fitting name for the books. They really are a load of BS. Or at least the first book is. I don't think I've ever read a book more impersonal than this one. I learned everything about what people were doing or saying. I know what they were wearing, and I know that money was important to the heroine. I did however never find out what she was really thinking or feeling, even though the story was written in 1st person from her POV. I know what they were wearing, and I know that money was important to the heroine. I did however never find out what she was really thinking or feeling, even though the story was written in 1st person from her POV. I just know she cared about everyone around her being "well off". There was no real flow to the language in this book. It was choppy and weird, and could have been written as a list, complete with bullet points; "And then we..." "Then we..." "And then we..." Seriously. Doesn't help that the author of this one is shy about using her commas. 90% of the time it's long ass sentences that make no sense until you re-read them a few times, and mentally add the missing commas. Our heroine, Spencer, who I thought was a guy at first, is very shallow. All it takes is a word like "babe" to get her going. Suddenly she's turned on, wowed by the guy, and quickly falling in love. Over "babe". She's trying to be tough, like nothing can touch her, and über-supportive. Instead she comes across as being without too many emotions. Those pesky little feelings just get in the way. And, this is partly why this story is impersonal. Brandon had a potential to be a really cool character, but since it's written from Spencer's POV, we never really get to know him. And I really didn't care for him throwing around "babe" like it was the word of the week. As if this isn't enough, the book ends abruptly. In the middle of a scene. You know if you record an episode of a show you're watching, only to have the recording end 2 seconds before the episode ends, that's how this ending feels. Like I didn't get the last few seconds of an episode, and now I'm left hanging. Apparently you're supposed to wait around for book two to find out. But you know what? Fuck that! Ain't happening! I'm not subjecting myself to this kind of writing ever again.

This one totally lost me. The relationship between the characters just felt totally off. And the whole "crazy ex girlfriend thing was played out in the most cliched way possible. Also, just the general writing style and dialogue was odd in places. Occasionally there would be this long monologue where I was just left thinking "no one would just spout off all that crap all in one long sentance". Several times Brandon's "voice" was very "girly". The whole thing just made it hard for me to stay "in" the story Then, then ending was abrupt. I wouldn't call it a "cliffhanger" - but it felt very much like it ended at what should have been the 3/4 mark of the novel. I don't think I'll for back for seconds.

The mysterious guy Spencer meets at the gym seems to keep popping up everywhere she goes. Especially in her dreams. She cant stop thinking about him. Spencer just recently found her loser of an ex banging his secretary and was on her way to an ice cream coma. So the last thing she ever imagined after the hellish few weeks she had was to have butterflies flopping around in her stomach. She hadn’t felt this giddiness, not even around her ex. Spencer’s bff Ryan has a big blow out with her boyfriend and that night comes home without a man. They both decide Vegas is the place to be. To Spencer’s surprise and delight “he” is at the airport and happens to be going to the same destination. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Well not in her case. While at a club Spencer and her mystery man share a dance that steams up windows and mirrors around them and by the end of the song Spencer has turned into putty at his feet. Before she can get her bearings he’s gone. The next night to no avail she strikes out when she’s in search of “him”. But luck was on her side. When she gets back to their hotel she takes her last few dollars and wins big. Ryan talks her into taking that money and doubling it so Spencer can get that bag she really wanted. And guess who is sitting there looking all handsome and gorgeous? Yep, the man from her dreams. Its just her and the mystery man playing cards and even though she’s lost her all her winnings she did get one thing outta it, his name. Back home Spencer and Brandon no longer pretend to be strangers. They work out together and Brandon finally asks her out. Their relationship starts off slow and it was really refreshing to see that in a book. Now a days they jump into bed and then the “I love you” follows shortly after. Not with this book. It was slow in the making. Brandon was a true gentleman and took his time to learn Spencer’s body. Even before they were naked he had her squirming and panting for him. Lots of drama ensue when Brandon’s ex comes into the picture and it’s a doozy! Can they make it through this huge hurdle or will it be short lived? I cant wait to find out how everyone’s doing in the next book. Wanted cant come out fast enough. See all my reviews at www.upallnightreviews.blogspot.com

For me, there was no depth of character. Both Spencer and Brandon did't seem to have much personality and their romance (once they got round to speaking) progressed exceptionally rapidly. For me, I enjoy a romance that unfolds, sexual tension builds, some kind of misunderstanding or exciting moment and then the HEA. This novel missed a lot of these key features for me. I have had several friends who have read and enjoyed but it wasn't to my taste. Saying that, I have been convinced to read the next in the series so I can see if the characters develop. I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt and assume that there will be more personality in the next book.

This is a book that I just couldn't connect with. I tried hard to get into it but no it wasn't for me. First of all I think my biggest problemm was the names of the characters. I have to admit, I didn't expect this book to be sooo good. I felt anxious from half the book until the end; I even bite my nails. I was like WHAAAA?!! I can say I even prayed for Spencer´s sake. The story takes place in San Francisco, California so that gives us a reference of where the Characters are from and also makes you feel like if you were the one experiencing the story. I read in recent reviews that the book had sex everywhere and it DOES! Isn´t that what we all do when we are crazy for someone we are dating and practically just met?! No?! Well I do LOL :S. Brandon super HOT a is a gentleman. This man is so mature, confident, supportive, sexy, rich; he has everything a woman wants in a guy. What I didn´t like...DAMN I loved the story and enjoyed every part of it. so no dislikes. The story takes place in San Francisco with a woman named Spencer who works as an EA to a CEO from a web site that provides fitnes and nutritional information to people. She recently broke up with her boyfriend because she caught him banging his secretary at his office LOL. We all have read books about this situations but honestly I was so glad the ex aka TravAss was just mentioned at the beginning and we had a slight peek of him halfway but that´s it. Her boss is writing a story about a gym called Club 24 and gives her a free 2 week pass and there´s where she meets her very own "Gideon Cross" LOL. Sexy knowing smiles pass by, flirtatious looks, but then, her best friend broke up with her boyfriend too...So what do they do?! Of course they go to VEGAS baby.!! This was actually a very good plot and I really enjoyed it. I even do extra time in the treadmill while reading this story. At the end everything is sorted out as always with a "HEA" or at least that´s what the author makes us think. We will have to wait until "wanted" gets published to know how this ends. I´m gonna give this book a 5 star. Thank you Kim.

Spencer was depressed at the beginning of the book since her ex cheated on her, but her past issues did not really get in the way of her dating Brandon. Brandon is totally swoon worthy. They quickly just become the perfect couple. "Nothing else matters except you, Spencer. Nothing. You're what I want, what I need. Where you are is where I need to be. I need you here in my life with me." I loved her friend Ryan who was dealing with her own boyfriend issues. And the supporting characters were all supportive of them. I think the story idea was a good one. There was some drama, but for me it was resolved pretty quickly. I just felt like the story had good characters and good bones, but lacked depth. Maybe I am used to stories with more angst and heartbreak that keep me riveted. The characters just handled all of the drama too well. The majority of this short book were sex scenes. They were really a sweet couple who could not keep their hands off each other. They did have probably one of the sexiest dance scenes I have read in a book though. The book ended kind of abruptly and opened it right up for book 2 Wanted. I will probably read it just to see where the characters end up. It was a good debut novel from Kimberly Knight. I would just like to see more intensity and strife.

Barely 3 stars. This book was entirely too descriptive but not. Does that make sense because I don't think this book made a whole lot of sense. I knew exactly what the main character was wearing at all times. I even knew which drawer the clothes came out of. However, I had no idea what any of the characters looked like. To pay that much detail to every.single.little.thing and I couldn't tell you what anyone looked like, is really sad. This book had so much potential. I even had it on my to read Barely 3 stars. Meh. *Possible Spoilers Ahead*Marked the definite but a few could go either way* So, if this is the erotica I keep hearing raves about it must be a poor example. The sex is bland. It's kind of like "we've been married way too long" vanilla sex. It's all routine, scripted, boring. And the weird forced dry humping that starts the ball rolling was just icky. Spencer and Ryan are besties and they live together and they both just went through break-ups so they decide to put the ice-cream down and go to Meh. Spencer and Ryan are besties and they live together and they both just went through break-ups so they decide to put the ice-cream down and go to Vegas. Because their oddly chosen masculine names have made their feminine instincts run away in terror and they just must do the cliched Vegas thing like a couple of dude bros. And to harp some more on the ridiculous name situation. Why must TravAss continue throughout? A couple of times when said aloud by or to the bestie is understandable girl talk but seriously, too much. Brandon is the hero/boring sex god/rich/handsome/perfect man who saves the dreary love life of Spencer. Why is he rich? Besides owning some gyms that are doing well, because apparently you cannot have a "new adult" or "erotica" book without a rich hottie hero. Over done and boring. Some more boring sex is going on with some boring day to day crap and then miracles happen. Brandon's bat-shit crazy ex-girlfriend starts texting shitty stuff to Spencer and proclaims she's pregnant. (view spoiler)[ Anyone who did not know this was a big fat lie made up by a crazy jealous ex lover, raise your hand, you will be laughed at. (hide spoiler)] Now Spence and Brandon have to deal with the bitch being around and still harassing Spencer via text message. Oh, bother. There's a couple slightly crisis flavored scenes when Brandon and Spencer contemplate if they are ready to be parents and ruminate on how super sad it is that it isn't their baby together. The end was tense and action-packed..no, wait - - that was what it should have been. It was just so strange and seemingly random. (view spoiler)[ Christy (Brandon's ex and supposed baby momma) stops by Brandon's place while he's out and Spence is alone. Why? Oh, she's realized Brandon isn't going to leave Spencer and go back to her, so she's going to kill Spencer. Yeah, reasonable for a psycho. BUT there is the obligatory psycho killer tells you all their evil plans before they kill you thing, which was snoozeville. Also, the whole girl fight with a knife could have been so much more satisfying. It was over in two seconds. Ugh. (hide spoiler)] And finally, why is no one wondering who this "help" is? I guess they will be thinking about that in the sequel.

For a whole week they exchange nothing more than smiles. Spencer and Ryan decide to go to Vegas to live it up. Fate intervenes and Mr. Hot Guy from the gym is on the same flight to Vegas. Once there, they see each other at a club. They dance in a very hot scene and then he leaves without saying goodbye. They then see each other at a casino and play cards. Again, things go no further. Once they return from Vegas, Spencer and Brandon (the hot guy) see each other again at the gym again and begin a relationship in which they fall in love and have lots of hot sex. Enter Brandon’s crazy ex-girlfriend and lots of great friends and you have a great story. This is Kimberly’s debut novel and I think she did a great job. I loved the characters. Brandon was a doll- so sweet and so hot! Spencer was so upset over Travis that I was glad she finally found the man of her dreams. Thankfully the crazy ex-girlfriend doesn’t succeed in breaking them up. There is a LOT of hot, steamy sex in this book. I mean a lot!!! This book has it all- drama, love, sex, friendship, and humor. Kimberly’s writing sucks you in and is so easy to read. The only thing I wanted different was the length of the book- it is short. I wanted it to go more in depth at some points. However, this seems to be just the beginning of the story of Spencer and Brandon and I am curious to see where it is going in Book 2. I recommend this book and can’t wait for book 2! She finds that he owns the gym. They get pretty serious quickly, but when his ex comes in the picture... be prepared to take a ride on the crazy train! I have mixed feelings about this one... I wanted to love it, the first 30-40% I really enjoyed. It had a lot of potential. Brandon was a great guy- really liked him, and Spencer was likable as well. I just wanted more story. There was a lot of sex- which was hot most of the time, but the ending seemed really rushed, there was tons of drama and the story was all over the place. That being said, I still might read the next one to see what happens.

I.E. someone would be whispering but still use an exclamation point at the end. When I see an exclamation point I think of someone being loud and boisterous. I feel this would have been a lot better if it were a bit longer and the characters were a bit more developed. But the story line was good and it sucked me in. A solid 3.5 stars from me.

This book didn't start my 2013 off well. I was completely mislead by the description. I was expecting a fun-filled story about two girls in Vegas. Instead I got a few pages about them in Vegas which were mediocre. And the guy she meets there? The main character sees him at her gym prior to the trip and he happens to be there the same weekend and they finally "meet". The sex was monotonous and took up far too much of this short story. I'd have preferred more of a real relationship since I still have no idea what made them enjoy each other besides shared workouts at his gym (of course the man is rich, owns a business, and is young and gorgeous) and sex. I don't care enough about this story or the characters to continue the series.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the friendship between Ryan and Spencer, love the referral to another famous book boyfriend as a description for Brandon. Loved that Brandon was totally dedicated and infatuated with Spencer. If you like lots of hot sex, this is your book. Congrats Kimberly :)

The Club 24 series was my first reading experience with author Kimberly Knight. When she recently rebranded this popular series, I was lucky enough to get an early peek at the first two books, ‘Where I Need To Be’ and ‘Wanted’. When she recently rebranded this popular series, I was lucky enough to get an early peek at the first two books, ‘Where I Need To Be’ and ‘Wanted’. The novels center on Spencer Marshall, a young woman who makes her living as a fitness and lifestyle blogger. When she discovers her boyfriend has been cheating on her with his secretary, Spencer takes a girls’ weekend to Las Vegas with her best friend, Ryan, hoping to put her heartbreak behind her. While there, she has a sexy nightclub encounter with a gorgeous man she recognizes from the Club 24 gym back home. However, he disappears back into the crowd just as mysteriously as he appeared. When Spencer returns to San Francisco, she returns to the gym and discovers her Vegas date is none other than the gym’s owner, Brandon Montgomery. Despite still being caught up in the explosive remains of his latest breakup, Brandon pursues Spencer. The physical attraction between them is off the charts and the two find themselves unable to resist the ultimate temptation. But Brandon’s troubled past has the potential to destroy the couple’s blossoming relationship. I read ‘Where I Need To Be’ and ‘Wanted’ back to back, and there was a lot of ground to cover in these rebranded books. Originally written from Spencer’s POV, fans of the series will be happy to learn that Brandon’s POV is also included in the rebranded editions. It’s always fun to see two sides of the story and there are insights included by Brandon that will be eye opening to the reader. My favorite thing about Spencer and Brandon’s story is their unwavering faith in each other. There was an abundance of potential for the author to stir up false drama between the two leads within the plot, but Kimberly Knight smartly avoided falling into that trap with these characters. Spencer is especially put to the test when the ghosts of Brandon’s past come back to haunt them, and I found her determination and strength of character admirable. Being inside Brandon’s head proved that Spencer’s feelings were returned, but also revealed some inner thoughts that startled me. From Spencer’s perspective, Brandon is calm and confident when in fact he’s successfully hiding a great deal of his intensity from her and others. While the glimpse into his mind provided valuable insight, I’m glad these books were ultimately told through Spencer’s voice. I have a feeling I would have ended up liking Brandon less otherwise. When I finished reading these books, I’ll admit to logging online to see how others rated them. There were parts I enjoyed better than others and I’d say the overall ratings posted reflect this assessment. If you’re looking for hot and steamy, you’ll definitely find it here. There are plenty of plot points to move the characters along, but I ultimately felt the story lacked the necessary tension that could have transformed it from a good read to an exceptional one. Some elements I would have preferred to be drawn out while other less critical moments sometimes dragged on a bit too long. Overall, I’m happy to give the first two novels of the Club 24 series a solid 3.5 stars.

Well this book is like I write a trip report or something, but turned into a book. It was like an outline with bullet points turned into sentences. And then we went here. Then we did this. Then at 1:00 we did this. And after that we did this. After that we went there. And on and on for the whole book! It was just not good. Too much insignificant details as well. Like they went out to dinner, and then Brandon took them back to his place so he could get his car and drive them home. And then he did drive them home. Okay...I am not sure why I needed that much detail. You could have just said after dinner Brandon drove us home, I don't care if you had to go back to his place to get the car first and then drive home...it was just too much insignificant detail on your outline of a story. Maybe if something happened at his place, more than just he sentence that told me you went there first to pick up there car, then okay. There was also a lot of detail on things that did not matter, like a section on how to play Texas Hold em which doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of the story. Yes they played cards a few times, but it really wasn't important for you to know in great detail how to play the game they played. So too much detail in outline form for most of the story, then too little detail on things that matter, like character development. I am not sure why Brandon and Spencer fall in love...I don't really know anything about either of them. What do they like? I dont' know. What do they look like? I only vaguely know. I know they are majorly attracted to each other, but other than that there is no connection to speak of. There are a ton of sex scenes, but they are pretty boring. The first one or two I was like okay, then I started skimming them as they were just boring to read. Then we have the surprise from the crazy ex girlfriend...not sure why that was not questioned more. I mean she is crazy, so why just take her at her word? I didn't get that at all. They are grown people, he is in his 30's, so he should know a thing or two. It was just ridiculous. It was obvious everything that would happen before it happened so no surprises. Overall just not a good book. Plus it just ends suddenly. I know there are two more books, but I won't be reading them. Usually I will read the following books just because I started the series might as well see what happens. Not this time. I don't even care enough to look up what the next two books would be about. I don't know why this book has so many high reviews - everything about it was bad. It seems like a story a teenager might write. Not good.

As you are introduced to her she is in the midst of a broken heart and attempting to learn to move on with her life. She keeps running into a Mystery Man at her local gym but never seems to be able to get to know him. Spencer convinces her best friend Ryan to take a weekend girls trip to Vegas to get away and have some fun. Enter Mystery Man out of no where. They have a fabulous dance floor exchange that will blow your mind. Spencer doesn’t get the opportunity to learn the Mystery Man’s name just yet but after getting back home, she finally gets to know who he is and finds that he’s just as attracted to her. Brandon the “Mystery Man” finally approaches her at the gym. They go on a few dates getting to know each other in the process. Once they “get to know”each other, they finally have a romantic love scene. HOT! “He crawled on top of me to lead me back further on the bed. Leaning over, he kissed my lips and slowly slid his tongue into my mouth. I could taste myself on him and warmth ran through me, straight to my sweet spot.” Where I Need To Be moves the story of the damaged Spencer through some hot and steamy sex scenes and twists & turns where her already flailing trust issues are tested to the max. Can Brandon gain and keep her trust? Will the challenge they are faced be resolved? The issues that these two characters are forced to deal with will have you wondering how you would handle the situation in your own life. So, despite the book being brief, it kept me riveted and completely absorbed. I can’t wait for the other two books in this series! Kimberly Knight has put together the beginning of a great love story filled with scorching sex scenes and enough intrigue to keep us guessing.

This read a bit like a short story from a creative writing course, padded to make it more book length. It was VERY Mary Sue - you couldn't connect with the lead character as she was very under developed - I don't really know anything about her beyond being good looking and liking to party and getting soooooooo drunk after 5 drinks that she drunk texts men about threesomes that she doesn't remember doing the next day. She hasn't really had to overcome anything in life (well, a break up with a guy she wasn't that into) and the one thing that she doesn't have (money) is covered by her best friend who comes from a rich family. The lead male is also under developed. You know that he is terribly terribly terribly good looking, with a super body. And mega rich of course. And good in bed, or wherever. In terms of plot, it attempts to have a plot, but it is all so surface in its telling that nothing really happens. Fairly predictable too, in that I can pretty much guarantee what the plot of the sequel would be. Loads of cliches abound, from 'evil laughs' to what I guess was an attempt by the author to tell us that the girls have brown eyes by giving us a conversation about eye shadow colour choices. People don't talk like the characters in the book seem to, I think that is where it falls flat. It isn't all bad. It is readable, and the sex isn't badly written (just gets a bit same-samey after sex scene #402...). Maybe it should have stayed a short story, or perhaps the 2 books made into one, with more attention paid to building tension and interest in the characters.

HOLY FUCK!!! Seriously, if the sex scenes could get any hotter, I might have to make my hubs quit his job. lol Okay, really though, I found some parts of this book to be a little unnecessary, ex: full detail about texas hold 'em poker. I suppose that some might find it a good detail but I think it was needless. There were a couple of other things I found sort of silly, but I couldn't put this book down. And even after that, you've already been sucked in so far that you need to know what's going on with Spencer. She's like this girly girl without all the ridiculous drama, until Christy came in but still didn't give into it all that much. And Brandon, WHEW!!! I love his honesty and his (almost over the top) attention to Spencer. I'm so flustered after getting to the end of this book. I NEED more! I've asked Kimberly when she thinks she'll be releasing Wanted, the 2nd in the series, and she's not sure yet. Basically, if you're not a fan of cliff-hangers, then hold off on this one until we hear more. Or you could be like me, and decide to read it anyway and then again before the next comes out. Finally I just want to say that I love the friendships in this book. The almost sisterly relationship between Spencer and Ryan is so refreshing! Also, Brandon and Jason's friendship is stellar. Love it!
