I started reading the first book of the series, The Mother-Daughter Book Club while I was on vacation during the summer. I wasn't even sure about buying the book, but I did anyways, and I sure am glad I did. This series is a series of five of the most relatable books I have ever read. The characters seem real, and I loved them all. They all have normal problems of teenage girls, yet they are all so innocent. I have done book projects on these books, and told many friends about them. I had read most of the books they were reading (Little Women, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, etc.), but found two series mentioned that I hadn't read yet that are now on my to-read (the Daddy Long Legs series and the Betsy-Tacy series). Fun books overall. A fun read. Each book takes place over a year in which the mother-daughter book club reads one book together. This series is AMAZING. Every girl could relate in some way. There is at least one character you could relate to in this book- a character that is going through something you are, or something you have gone through. My mom and I loved it. I would reccommend this to any girl. It is a realistic fiction. Everything that happens is so much fun to read. Its normal everyday life... but everyone knows life is crazy. Read it!!! My mom and I definitely mark it as one of our favorites!

Age wise I would say that this is for tweens but I'm sure anyone could in joy it. I also love how they interduse you to adorable, classic books! This is my favorite book series!!! One of my favorite characters. Sort of a Mary Sue. She's really GOOD at school in general, rarely does wrong unless with friends, kind of shy, loves to read, relatively athletic, perfect b-freind who gets into ivy league and is athletic and smart.
