This was a short read, but oh so good!! Delaney did a good job of packing a lot of meaning content in a small amouint of pages. Renny and Sabrina were off the charts. I usually don't read the sneak peaks, but with this one I had to because I was so curious, and trust me when I say the sneak is explosive. I can't wait to read more about these two, and to learn how their story progresses. ETA - I've read a few reviews complaining about the length. This is a novella, it's only 40 pages, take it for what it is, and read the full length for more.

Okay, so I kinda knew where this story was going, and I still got sucked in. I did not, however, see the first chapter of the next book coming. It hit me with all the force of a Mac truck. SO I'm off to read Second Chances. I have a feeling you might want to, too. Okay, so I kinda knew where this story was going, and I still got sucked in. DNF at 47% All telling. We go from a one night stand with the driest sex to being told that Sabrina has fallen deeply in love a month later. This reads like the synopsis of a story and I'm definitely not interested in reading some poorly developed, under-detailed abridged version. DNF at 47% All telling. I love author Delaney Diamond's writing style, she really draws you in deep with the stories she weaves. Renaldo and Sabrina with their quick whirlwind romance. Strong business man and a chance meeting with Sabrina changes both of their lives into forever. You just know these two are meant to be together. This story is the prequel to the big story "Second Chances: of the Hot Latin Men Series" Although this story is short it is explosive and exciting. If you haven't read it already I strongly recommend it. I don't write spoilers I just encourage people to read the story.

Solid 3.5 Stars Okay I knew this was short, but when it ended I literally gasped out loud cos I couldn't believe it was over. It ended when it felt like it was just beginning. But this was a good read. I loved how alot of the story came together in such a brief time. How so much of the details was covered. Renaldo "Renny" is one sexy man who speaks his mind, doesn't beat around the bush on any issue, and certainly knows how to treat his lady. Sabrina, I love. I would recommend this brief Novella.

After reading the synopsis I had such high hopes. Granted this was meant to be a teaser for the bigger one, it fell much too short. The whole lust at first sight is understandable. Accepting a steamy proposal from a Latin lover - totally wild. But it never quite delivered. Where's the romance? Where was the mystery? Perhaps its successor will give everything that I wanted from this. However it doesn't mean I will give it a go. The Ultimate Merger spoiled it for me. As a lover of Interracial Romance, I'm really picky in regards to which IRR books that I'll spend time reading... That being said, although this book was free, it wasn't awesome... I would have to say that it's right in the middle between average & fairly good... I loved this latest novella by Delaney Diamond. The passion between Sabrina and Renaldo de Silva leaps off the page and makes you want to download a copy of People en Espanol to find your own hot-blooded Latin lover to swoon over. It also reminds readers that different cultural backgrounds should never be a stumbling block for a true love connection. Sometimes you have to let yourself take a leap of faith when it comes to the affairs of the heart, and author Delaney Diamond reveals how her hero and heroine do just that. This romantic story captivated me from page one and even had me tearing up when Sabrina became vulnerable enough to reveal the heartaches of her South Side of Chicago upbringing. It left me wanting more exactly the way Ms. Diamond planned. Now someone tell me where I can get Chicago-style pizza in New Jersey? Yes, yes it also left me wanting to experience Chicago like a tourist too. (She a very gifted novelist.) I highly recommend `The Ultimate Merger' to anyone looking for characters with great dialogue, passionate scenes, and a very touching ending. Five out of five stars for an AMAZING job! Angeline M. I'm actually frustrated with this one and went back and forth between giving it a 2.5 or a 3. Some aspects I really liked. It was written well as far as grammar and punctuation goes so that was a plus. Initially I found Sabrina and Renaldo endearing. I was digging when they first met and the banter between them but then it went on for TOO long and became kind of corny and weird. I was looking forward to the steamy scenes and was into it at first and then it took another turn to weird. I was looking forward to the steamy scenes and was into it at first and then it took another turn to weird. As much as I enjoy erotica I don't mind when sex scenes are more tame and not so in your face. The author seemed to take great care in not being overt or vulgar with the sex and then totally ruined the scene by putting in descriptions of his scratchy pubic hair and how it felt next to her butt! Ewww! Why? Talk about having cold water doused on you. Moments like that really killed all of the sensual scenes for me. After their first encounter it skipped to the following month and then they were madly in love. I totally think people can fall in love quickly but I didn't feel it with Sabrina and Renaldo so it wasn't really convincing. I don't know with this one! I also read the first chapter for a different book in the series and the same thing happened. It grabbed my attention initially and then started to fizzle out as the situation stopped making sense. What possible reason would she have for keeping those pictures for him to find in the first place? I'm torn rather to read anymore or not. I just don't know.

Sabrina’s cousin turns up and from a past she’d rather Renny didn’t know about immediately cuts off all contact disappearing for a few days leaving him wondering if she’s blown him off but to his immense relief Sabrina returns, explains and walks right back into his arms and they get their HEA…or do they? SECOND CHANCES. I'm assuming the author will flesh out and give depth to her characters that were necessarily missing in this novella. I’m not into the big ‘C’ theme but there go those reviews again gnawing at my resolve to read or not to read. I'll admit to being somewhat intrigued that its the woman seemingly at fault here, nice change from the stereotypical. There is no doubt in my mind of Renny's reaction. Perhaps those two things might be enough to set aside reservations this reader might have and give it a go. Pondering. (hide spoiler)] Smooth flowing, great read.

The story was sweet, endearing, and lovely. I found the book brief but to the point. It left me wanting to read more and wanting to know what is next for the two main characters. The plot was developed well and there were no glaring loopholes or gaps that needed to be fixed. The characters were very believable and I liked them. I enjoyed the dialogue and loved the language used in the book. I didn’t see any glaring errors or any grammatical mistakes that needed to be fixed. I appreciated the end where the book tied into the next saga in the story. The writing was very clear and fluid. I enjoyed the descriptions. They weren’t repetitive or glossy. The sex scene was four alarm sexy hot. I loved it. The fluidity of the prose and writing helped the story to flow from one scene to the next. Overall, I give this book Four Leaves rating definitely a must read for romance enthusiasts. For me, it wasn’t a page turner, I would have liked to see more conflict between the characters and a bit more development and complexity but I think we will see that in the next book.
