I recieved this book as part of the First Read giveaway by Goodreads. If you're interested in collecing the Lego Harry Potter sets, this is the perfect book for you. It's has very detailed information about every character and creature piece that can be found in any Lego set, which can be very useful if you are looking for something specific. Since it is about the Lego sets specifically, sadly there is no new information about the Harry Potter universe to be had in this book. Luke(my resident expert on LEGOS) and I read this book together and we were able to learn so much about the world of Harry Potter LEGOS and the minifigures! It is an easy to read reference book with many different text features. It was great to see close ups of all the characters to appreciate the detail that went into each one! The book points out unique things, and tidbits like what other characters have the same hair but in different colors, or where Lego creators took pieces from dinosaurs to make the dragons, etc. Full of great info you'd learn no where else, and great for die-hard Harry Potter Lego fans such as myself. This simply tells briefly of each characters and their components. it also lists each character and where they can be found. It is a great marketing tool. The book also briefly describes each character and describes their styles, tools and structure. I had hoped to use it for my grandchildren but decides none would be that interested. Glad to add this to my collection of Harry Potter books. (especially for free) I was a bit disappointed in the lack of detail in the book. However, my kids were really excited and are enjoying all the pictures!

I love all the characters in the Harry Potter world. My favorite movie was the last movie because I thought the fighting was cool and it has so much action. My favorite Lego Harry Potters are the set that comes with the Troll and the set that comes with the Basilisk.

My son, age 9 loved this book and would have given it 5 stars. Children who like Harry Potter and Lego will most likely enjoy this book. It's organized into 7 chapters, based on the 7 years of the books. There are some interesting facts in the book and it's arranged so that information is quite easy to find. My son and I read the whole book together and he enjoyed it so much that he went back over it several times. My son, age 9 loved this book and would have given it 5 stars. I've always loved LEGO and their "Harry Potter" sets are absolutely amazing. It's neat to see how the pieces evolved and changed throughout the years. By year 7 everything is wonderfully detailed!
