Loved it! So many fantastic stories! Most by authors I had never heard of but what gems. Some made you rethink how we view some things in life. Like assumptions we can make about people, institutions, etc. The Roger Zelzany story "A Rose for Ecclesiastes" was phenomenal! Worth finding the book just for that one. Loved it! Dated views, and only a few stand out stories.

These series were a little uneven, but this one has a story by J.G. Ballard and one by Thomas Disch, and this is possibly my first exposure to both authors. I went on to really like "Crash" by Ballard and admired several of Disch's novels as well. These series were a little uneven, but this one has a story by J.G. Despite being a 'best of,' a few of the stories in this book are slight (if well-written). Overall, however, this is a strong collection that includes Zelazny's "A Rose For Ecclesiastes" along with stories by Kit Reed, Thomas M. Disch and J.G. Ballard -- and you can't go wrong there! Fantasy and Science Fiction has been the most consistently good magazine of the genre and its annual collections are safe bets.
