Larry Moyer (Th.M., Dallas Theological Seminary) is president and CEO of EvanTell, Inc., an evangelistic association in Dallas, Texas, and is a speaker at evangelistic outreaches, training seminars, and in classrooms across the country. His other books include Free and Clear, Larry Moyer’s How-To Book on Personal Evangelism, Thirty-One Days with the Master Fisherman, and Welcome to the Family (by EvanTell).” (From the Kregel Publications Website) My thoughts about the book: Dr. Larry Moyer has done an outstanding job in writing a short, insightful and doctrinally sound book regarding how Christians are to share about Christ and the Gospel in their workplace. The issue of evangelizing is problematic for many Christians as Dr. Moyer reveals in his book because of the fact that many Christians do not feel they live as they should and thus are poor and ineffective testimonies for Christ, or they don’t know what to say and how to say it. And he cites other reasons as well. Initially Dr. Moyer makes it very clear to us in his book as well as throughout the book that first and foremost when at work we are there to work. Our primary duty as Christians in the workplace is to work and while working look for appropriate and unique opportunities to share the Gospel with our co-workers. And in his book Dr. Moyer helps us by providing examples of how to share the Gospel as well as ideas for us to consider as ways to minister to and evangelize our fellow workers. And he also writes that our full-time job is also our full-time ministry. While we work full-time, we can also be sharing Christ as a full-time minister of the Gospel and without compromising our testimony. One of the things I like most about Dr. Moyer’s book is its practicality and simplicity. With his book he truly helps us gain a Biblical perspective as to how to share Christ in the Workplace citing numerous Scripture references as well as quotes from the writings of numerous church leaders. So consider Dr. Moyer’s book as you would consider a tool-chest – with his book providing all the right and necessary tools to equip us as saints called to serve the Lord as full-time ministers while working in the workplace. Seeking to dispel the myth many Christians believe, that Ministry is just for pastors and other people who officially serve in the church or mission field, Moyer offers up a book that is based on the truth that every one of us is in full-time ministry too, no matter our job. "Show me how to Share Christ in the Workplace" is a wonderfully practical book that every Christian intent on spreading the gospel should commit to reading. At just under 200 pages, it is an easy read, and one that is written in a thoroughly understandable manner. The book is chock-full of scripture, covering topics of prayer and discipleship and evangelism by drawing upon the truth of God's word. I found the book to hold my interest from start to finish, even though I usually prefer to read fiction books, and I plan on implementing many of the suggestions in my own life. For people who can wonder exactly what to say when opportunities arise to talk about spiritual issues, this book will provide a good foundation to lead others to Jesus, as guided by the Holy Spirit in doing so. I strongly recommend this book for believers from all walks of life, for those who have been Christians for many years and for new followers as well. Readers may choose to read the book on their own, or perhaps with an accountability partner or a small group of believers. All are sure to benefit from the wisdom contained in it's pages! 4 out of 5 stars. Book has been provided courtesy of the publisher, Kregel Publications, for the purposes of this unbiased review.

Two types of Christians exist in the working world of today, those who use their work as a tool for ministry and those that simply work. This book dives into many points. This book incorporates many biblical passages and quotes that the author uses to strengthen the message that he is covering in detail. Highlighted also are others opportunities outside of work that others have incorporated. As the reader I picked and chose the topics that most interested me and studied them more in detail. I feel this book can be a useful tool in dealing with situations not only in the workplace for which it is written, but possibly could be used for discussion and witnessing in other situstions ie: family gatherings, hair salons or perhaps when waiting in line somewhere. I do feel that caution should be exercised however when witnessing in certain jobs where talk on religion, and even politics can have devastating results. Interesting and well written 4 Stars! I received a complimentary copy from Kregel Publications for my review.
