A bilingual board book that reviews shapes using artwork from the collection at the San Antonio Museum of Art. Each page includes questions that encourage dialogic reading. The questions tie into the illustrations and also help connect shapes to a child's world (i.e. do you eat ovals for breakfast?) After the shapes are introduced, the book challenges readers to search for shapes in a variety of pieces of art. The final two page spread provides information on the artwork included in the book. I liked the layout of this book (the colors, artwork included, visually appealing fonts etc). This is a book that stands out in my mind because I see a great need for bilingual books, but I'm not always pleased with what's being produced by publishers. When I read through this book I thought "Finally! Yay publishers, well done!"

A beautiful bilingual board book that introduces shapes using art from the San Antonio Museum of Art. The additional information in the About the Art pages in the back add much to the value of the book.

I received this book in the mail today and promptly sat down with my 5 year old son. We had fun looking at the shapes and saying the names in both English and Spanish. Each shape is accompanied by a work of art as well. The artwork is very bright and colorful. My 17 month daughter was also reading with us and I think that she really enjoyed looking at the pictures. The last two pages give information about the artwork featured. This is a wonderful little board book for parents and children alike! I received this book thru the goodreads giveaway program.

This is a very exciting book for kids. Bright colors keep their attention. The pictures are great. Recommend to anyone teaching their kids the Spanish language. I received this book as a goodreads giveaway.

I like that the artwork is all famous artwork, and asks children to identify shapes in the "real world" but the book is to busy and complicated for a young child.
